I had the Dublin bay prawns they were just gorgeous staff and all are so nice defo recommend.

Our 1st visit and we really enjoyed our night Thank you for honouring our voucher we will be back again, lovely food, & friend staff and we felt safe — — such a pity the weather is not good as you have a wonderful outdoor area cu you again soon.

Stayed three nights very friendly staff and nothing was a problem to them when we asked would recommend here.

What an incredible llunch today with ambiance. The calamari was the nest I've tasted. The sun was shining. Thank you to cieran and Karen for impeccable service. 10 out of 10. I will be back. Highly recommended. See you soon. ❤️

Great night in The Schoolhouse bar, our first venture out since lockdown and all nerves forgotten the second we walked in the door, as we were made so welcome by Tom and his staff, perfect social distancing etiquette yet not overbearing either. Bar food was fantastic, and we can't rave on enough about their Chicken wings… out of this world.
It's a gorgeous bar, great atmosphere and we look forward to coming back!

Amazing night for my friends wedding all staff were so great and specially GIna the barmaid she was so friendly and she went out of her way for all of us and she so was great. Thank you so much again Gina.

Great staff, THE most huge, comfy bed and that duvet ❤ I wanted to bring it home and certainly the best shower I've ever had. Our room was big with a lovely door out to a courtyard. It was so peaceful and quiet even though we were in the middle of the city. Absolutely loved it. Didn't want to leave! We cannot wait to go back there again ❤ Thank you to all at The Schoolhouse Hotel.

This hotel is absolutely fab, we loved it! Staff are all so nice, rooms are big and cleaned to a high standard, bed and pillows are super comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful and so was our dinner that we had from the bar. The hotel is so quiet, we never heard a sound from our room at night or this morning. Well done on such a beautiful hotel.

Well went for lunch today to the old school house in ballsbridge and as I'm on a diet since I came out of the womb I ordered the crab salad waited over 35mins for salad taught someone was out trying to catch the crab from Disney's Ariel abd what they produced now if I was Daisy the cow or Roger rabbit is be very happy it tasted like it looks like aload of grass and what's more shocking is the price almost €17 but the 1 good thing is I didn't put on a pound coz I didn't eat it it was rotten.

Very nice food, they offer a 2 or 3 course set meal which is common in Dublin. The service is very good and the restaurant building itself is incredibly unique as it is an ex school with high ceilings and bags of character. Would recommend The Schoolhouse if you are in the area.

Had a great stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel. First, it is very easy to get into busier parts of town, and to the newly developed waterfront area. One of our group took the bus from the airport as there is a stop just across the street. So from a convenience perspective it could not be easier. The rooms were very nicely appointed, the restaurant and bar where great to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Would stay again.

We had a family event in the Schoolhouse hotel in July 2018. I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel as a place to host a party. The indoor space was lovely, but the weather was great so actually we spent the whole day on the lovely outdoor space reserved for us. I guess the weekend is their quieter time so they were able to give us loads of space indoors and outdoors. We had a party for 100 people and so we went for the barbecue option. The cooks brought the barbecues outside as we were having drinks, set up and cooked everything in front of us. It was really lovely to see and smell the food cooking. It was served buffet style with really nice salads. The food was excellent and plentiful. Everyone ate well and absolutely everyone was really complimentary of the food. Most notably, the staff on the day were absolutely fantastic. Really attentive and efficient. They checked in with us throughout the day, making sure we were happy. Nothing was too much trouble. It was so easy going, they were on top of everything and really flexible as things unfolded. We couldn't believe how stress free and lovely throwing a party for a hundred people could be! Thank you so much to all the hotel staff.

Very nice pub/restaurant. The staff were super friendly, the decor is nice and overall a pleasant vibe. The food was also very nice and came in good sized portions. Had the wings, chicken gougons, and burger. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I just spent two nights at he Schoolhouse Hotel in Dublin and had a fabulous stay! Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant and bar, beautiful room with air conditioning, and overall a great value for the cost. The area is on the edge of the city center so not so noisy, and it is an easy walk downtown. They have a large shaded patio area which was fun to sit and relax in. And the food was top-notch as well. What more can you ask for!?

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Schoolhouse Hotel while on vacation in Ireland. We enjoyed it more than anywhere else we stayed. The food in the restaurant was wonderful, the room had everything we needed, even free ‘on demand’ movies! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely stay there again if we’re back in Dublin!

Loved this quirky hotel in a quiet part of the city. Rooms are unusual and very comfortable. Food was excellent. The bus to the airport stops just across the road. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is great, in a quiet area of Dublin, not far from the docks. The city centre with pubs is a 15-minute walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also a bar and a café on site.

Lovely traditional hotel. Nice change from the standard soulless city centre hotel. Big rooms with incredibly powerful shower! tasty breakfast & rocket fuel coffee. Bar also very nice and food extremely tasty. Would highly recommend everything about this place.

My family has been staying at the Schoolhouse Hotel for many years now. It is very conveniently located so that you can walk into the centre of Dublin very easily. The staff are fantastic, always friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts are great. We also always eat at the hotel. The food is very tasty and excellent value. I hope that I will be back there next year.

Fantastic little spot in Dublin! Had an overnight stay here and I was amazed with this place, the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, check in was a breeze and the room was far beyond my expectations. The accommodation was warm, very clean and very comfortable. We ate in the pub here and again the food was fantastic, served piping hot and so tasty. The atmosphere in the pub was great and again the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had breakfast in the hotel too and again it did not disappoint, we were made to feel very at home and the food was again excellent. Nothing else to say really other than I would highly recommend the schoolhouse hotel to anyone who was after a great place to stay in dublin.

After work drinks with awesome chicken wings. Good screen for watching sport. Plenty of tables indoors and outside for when the weather gets fine. I had to give an extra star purely for the atmosphere. This is a nicer spot than most. Easy going staff, welcoming customers and well kept decor. I will be going back for sure.

We ate only and it was fine. Screens to track matches but no Irish music this is not a tourist pub!

We stayed here for a night and got dinner in the restaurant. The hotel was nice. We had a big room with a good size bathroom. The shower was great and the room came with a hairdryer which is always good! The food in the restaurant was great! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cosy, with a fireplace on one wall and dark lighting. We were very impressed with the food that we got, all of it was wonderful as was the wine. It was all cooked perfectly and was very tasty. We will definitely be returning!

Have stayed quite a few times and I love it! Stayed again this month (mar 2018) and couldn't fault it. Food was fab, room was lovely, staff were spectacular. Will definitely return x.

Decent enough food. Comfy digs. Stylish decor. Convenient location and interesting history behind the building. Not for vegans, gluten-free or the lactose intolerant (no soya lattes or dairy-free dessert, mores the pity as I would come here more often if that were the case but good enough if you're neither cheap nor fussy.

We went for dinner on a Monday night, and the restaurant only had one other table occupied. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. We didn't get our meals for over an hour after we sat down.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Great service & food, whether it's lightly battered fish or beef burger on rugby days or the freshly cooked breakfast & good coffee or dinner, great great atmosphere and service from all. Welcome to James too who's joined the team, look forward to more visits. Years of enjoying all they have to offer & still great. Thanks again for such an enjoyable stay.

I eat here fairly regularly and always go for the beef burger. I've eaten a lot of burgers in a lot of different places and this is one of the best burgers I've ever had.

Always pleasant. Food is nice and usually easy to find a quiet enough seat for a beer or two after work.

Excellent place to stay. Great restaurant. Friendly and very accommodating. Very small parking lot but you don't need a car. Lots of things to see within 2 or 3 miles of the hotel.

Always a favourite of mine on rugby days! The schoolhouse never disappoints. Dad and I stopped in for brunch yesterday before the leinster match and our burgers were fabulous. The staff are always welcoming and I have never waited to be served at the bar for more than a minute or 2, even when it is busy. I like that the bar menu is not huge, allowing for focus on high quality food. Case in point, brunch menu had, I believe, 4 excellent main options. Quality food, in superb surroundings. A true gem.

Have no idea about hotel facilities, my review is only about the restaurant at this hotel. For already last few years, at least once per month or two I'm coming to this place specially for the steak! Guys, i'm seriously into steaks, eating them everywhere I could, but unfortunately after I discovered this place all other places are sink in their own misery. Even steakhouses in various countries are barely close to the taste of that schoolhouse hotel restaurant steaks with the best pepper sauce there If you like steaks you should definitely visit this place!

A great place to congregate before a game in the nearby Aviva Stadium. Good food, a comfortable airy atmosphere contributed to by the high vaulted ceilings. It gets crowded on match days but there is a friendly atmosphere and a decent, if limited menu of food and drink in the bar tops off its appeal.

Nice Pub with live music and great beer. Rustic ambience with wooden furnishings, friendly and helpful waitresses.

Nice pub not tied to the touristy part of Dublin. Sober and captivating Style. Good service. There was also live entertainment with a guy who sang. Very good beers, not just the Guinness.

Very quaint locale with live music. I think they could improve the snacks that accompanies the beers.

We were a party of 20 for a christening. Nice big room to ourselves. Staff were lovely. Kid friendly. Good food if a little slow. Overall very happy.

We love the food at Schoolhouse. Never been in the hotel but in the Pub and Restaurant. Kind and friendly staff. Perfect for eating outside weather permitting. And very nice inside.

Excellent position just 1.5km from Temple Bar. 2km from University Library. Free on-site parking, if you arrive early. We stayed 2 nights. Comfortable rooms, newly built on quiet side away from very busy large bar area. Good food, great Irish breakfast. Good Wi-Fi. Lovely staff. Not a Hilton but still 5 Star for character building, comfort, position and service.

Although we actually won a nights stay with dinner in the school house it is not for that reason we rate this hotel 5 stars. It is genuinely a little gem and would highly recommend. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and friendly with a special note for the waiter whose name we didn't catch. The bedrooms are charming as for the bed if you are looking for a comfortable one you've found it.

My wife and I stayed there overnight recently and the room was lovely. Well decorated with a nostalgic feel, as was the bathroom which also had a great shower over the bath. The bed was large and very soft/comfortable and the breakfast was perfect too. Whilst we didn't have dinner there (as we were out at a concert) we did have a bar meal in the shady garden (which was welcome as the temp was in the upper 20s) which was also spot on. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, (Brian in particular was great helping us with our Celiac requirements) and I'd thoroughly recommend the place!

I like this place. Always a nice vibe here. The food and drink are both reasonably priced and there's nice clear allergy markings on the menu. Love the outdoor space when the weather is good and it's great for people watching.

Went there for lunch, was quite busy so spent a bit of time finding a table. Food was OK, bit the service was very bad. It took ages to order and wait for a bill, waitresses just ignoring you.

Have been to the pub many times for food & drinks. Always sat outside, it's the perfect location for food & drinks on a warm day. Have enjoyed a few things of their menu but the duck 'salad' w/ noodles & fries are my fav, coupled with a refreshing cocktail there isn't more you'd need. They are reasonably priced (unlike many places in GCD that are just ridiculous). The staff are always so pleasant & friendly. Highly recommend paying them a visit.

Friendly small hotel with rooms each named after prominent members of the 1916 uprising. Each room decorated individually, and with a bit of history too. Comfortable beds if a little firm for one of our party. Excellent choice for continental breakfast — so good we didn't even try the cooked offerings that looked and smelt great. Pub and restaurant food available — we thoroughly enjoyed the one evening we ate in. A mere 15 minute walk to the Aviva Stadium (6 nations rugby was on! ) A mile and a quarter straight walk to the Temple bar area of the city centre. On the way are stops for various hop-on hop-off city bus tours. Next to the canal, which has a walkway running alongside.

Traditional Irish hotel, enjoyed the hospitality and the pub. Interior was ok, was pleasantly surprised of the fairly modern bathroom equipment hidden beneath the traditional looks. Only problem: The second night there was an American family next door and I could hear their every word as if they sat in my room.

The first thing that draws attention is the nice thing is, outside and inside, gives the impression that it will be very expensive, but not. The price is very reasonable and the food is also good live music.
