Beautiful old world bar great place to spend an afternoon.

I don’t give many one star reviews. We stayed in 6 places in Ireland and this was the most expensive and worst quality. There are many better options. Maintenance has been deferred, cleanliness is a problem, and the beds were uncomfortable. Staff was friendly.

Good location for site seeing. Room are very small and congested. Just consider as a place to sleep.

The hotel has a very good location, the staff are very friendly, the rooms are comfortably furnished. Breakfast is varied and offers not only meat, sausage and eggs.

This hotel really is fine. The building and decor is old. The rooms were small and the bathroom tiny. But it is a centrally located hotel in a major European city. You shouldn't expect any different. The staff were nice and helpful and everything was within walking distance. That does mean that there is a lot of street noise but honestly not that bad. The four stars are for the unforgivable Wi-Fi. It was never fast in the room and would disconnect on us all the time. Video calling was impossible and even messaging didn't work as messages came in 10 to 20 minutes late. I am sure for some, a lack of Wi-Fi isn't a big deal, but for others it is. We would likely stay here again and just by an Irish SIM card to avoid the problem.

19th century, faded-glory, back-in-time charm. In the center of Dublin night life. Small room, but clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Dependable Wi-Fi. I would definitely come back.

Look VERY carefully at the photos and don’t be afraid to call in advance. My room was MUCH smaller than the advert led me to believe. It was otherwise nice, but definitely a budget hotel.

So it's a really old and classy hotel. If you are coming to Dublin to drink until you pass out this is your place. If not people from the bars will keep you up until 3am. There is no AC in the rooms, but after I complained about being hot they did bring me a fan. The fan helped. Btw, it's in the 50's farenheit outside and was almost 80 in the room before the fan.

Location is fantastic. But that‘s it. Small rooms. Hotel, room and bath need a refurbishment. It’s not charming anymore… it’s just not well maintained. Street noise until 3am. Location alone does not justify the price per night.

A little shabby but a faultless bed with beautiful linen and the room immaculate. And it's perfectly located for bars and shopping.

A good central location, a good level of cleanliness and comfort. Good breakfast too. Pity the spaces a bit just in the room. Definitely recommended for a few nights.

Stayed here for a girly celebration, spotlessly clean, excellent rooms and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Nice staff and decent breakfast, but rooms were in clear need of redecorating & refurbishing, and lacked air con. The hotel has no restaurant, and the bar is, like the rooms, somewhat dated & run down. The rooms lack double glazing, and mine overlooked a very busy & noisy street.

Stayed over St. Patricks Day weekend. The hotel rooms was very cold and we complained to the front desk several times. Also, the water in the shower is not very warm. Overall, it is not a good value stay. I suggest paying extra for another hotel with good amenities.

It's like in that and close to the center, clean rooms. The biggest defect is six motor-type noises (room on the third floor).

Can't speak to lodgings, because I never stayed the night, but I'm part of a group that has rented meeting rooms here for the last three years, and it's been excellent. Staff is always friendly, set up and clean up chairs and tables for us, provide drinking water, etc. I was also very impressed with the hotel decor. If I get the chance, I'd definitely like to stay the night sometime.

Very large rooms in central position near The George the most famous LGBT bar in dublin. Staff very kindly. Good restaurant inside.

Love this place it will quite quickly become an addiction. Nothing fancy but clean comfy rooms. Bring ear plugs you are in the middle of a busy city. However don't let that put you off, this is a southside treasure.

The location of the hotel is perfect for moving around the city centre, it has all kinds of restaurants and pubs nearby, without being within the typical fuss of the area.
To spend a couple of nights visiting the city and not enjoying the hotel, it's OK, it's OK.
The size of the room was quite small, with no space to move within it, although we saw that there were rather larger rooms so it might just be a matter of bad luck.
With regard to noise, you have to keep in mind that the building is very old and therefore the windows do not insulate completely (nothing that some plugs can not solve).
The continental breakfast is a bit scarce in terms of variety.

It’s very central to Grafton street shopping, rooms are clean but small. It’s an older building so it’s decor is old world. It’s expensive, breakfast wasn’t included, we paid extra for it, it was terrible. The food was cold, had to wait 25 minutes for it to come, then sent it back because it wasn’t hot.
The staff are very friendly & nice.

Stayed here three times and it's quite good. The second time I stayed I had an issue with the shower nozzle (was jammed on hot) but other two times were fine. All three of my rooms I've stayed in have not had light fixtures in the bedroom, so mostly had to rely on the lamps. Other than that it's a nice, quirky old hotel in a great location!

Great place to stay with friends or Family. My Three Sisters and myself has stayed in a four bed room and we had a super time. Great helpful staff and so central as is in the name.

Very central location in Dublin. Nice Hotel Carpets and woodwork are on the go. Nice library and cosy atmosphere bar.
Rooms small and very dark. The heating did not work, I had to call a technician after insisting.
Breakfast is average, no fresh fruit, canned grapefruits and coffee not terrible.

Booked this hotel on a travel site. It is not remotely like what was pictured. Carpet filthy in reception and missing in upper floors by elevator. Room incredibly small. Small window openeopened for refresh air as entire hotel smells of old fried foods. All furnishing old worn and in need of refreshing or replaced. Ate in hotel pub and all furnishings old worn and in need of cleaning. Noisy location in Central Dublin. The cost of staying here is more expensive than the amenities stated on website. Would not return nor use the booking site.

Small room with good heating, quite clean as well as the WC, central location, Temple Bar area, great, would go again.

Expensive hotel for a more than limited service. Only its location is interesting.

It's not a fancy place to stay but the staff was very nice all along. We got there super early and they were able to give us the room early.

Beautiful, historic hotel right next to Trinity College in downtown Dublin. Not the cheapest place to stay (~€90 for a 3-person room) but also a good deal given the location. A ton of nightlife and yummy restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

The Best thing about the Hotel is the very Central location in Dublin. All sights are on foot running away. In the vicinity there are numerous supermarkets, Pubs and Restaurants. Unfortunately, the rooms of the hotel are a bit worn and, depending on the situation, but also relatively loud (earplugs are useful). The size of the rooms, however, are in order. Peraonal was always friendly.

The Hotel was definitely in his best times are nice, but these are over apparently. The prices are quite high for the performance of the commandments, and I can only choose another accommodation recommended. The room was quite small and the window did not completely close so that the not inconsiderable noise from the street was disturbing. The water in the shower was very hot and could not be regulated as defective.

Fully authentic, very centrally located.

Great location hence why it's pricey. Well for me it was. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Shower needs to be more powerful and hotter. Love the Library bar. Try to get in there early because it gets very busy and nowhere to sit or stand. €5.10 for a pint of Guinness it was great. Their €10 Irish breakfast wasn't great. Two small cheap sausages. Mushrooms cut way too small, I prefer them chunky. And their baked beans were very cheap, poor quality. Nice clean hotel with very polite and helpful staff. Would stay here again but won't have breakfast there. Lots of little cafés nearby minutes walk away.

Hotel in the centre of Dublin, comfortable, welcoming.

Very centrally located City Hotel. Has the best years behind itself. Quite noisy, thin Windows, sanitary equipment old and partly defective. Beautiful Library Bar in the old style. Price/performance is in order.

Very good Hotel. Clean, friendly and very helpful staff, ready to go. Breakfast is rich and fresh. Price — performance TOP! Very gladly again.
