I stay here regularly because it is friendly, welcoming, convenient, great restaurants nearby, fab breakfast. And, of course, Terry and the Team!

Lovely Bed and Breakfast in a calm and nice area in Dublin. You can reach the city center via bus within 15 minutes or 30 minutes by foot. To the air coach station you walk like 5 minutes and you drive to the airport around 30-40 minutes. There are some pubs in the area and a Tesco and a spar (3 minutes walk). Our room (3) was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfy. There were two beds, so I guess the room can be used by 3 or even 4 people, in that case it would be a bit too small but for the two of us it was big enough. The whole staff / family is super friendly and helpful! Terry is such a nice guy! From the first second it felt a bit like home and the welcome was very warm. The breakfast was very delicious and fresh made and there are a lot options to choose from. Unfortunately we stayed just one night but we will definitely come back again!

We stayed here the evening of the Paul Simon concert — the RDS is a lovely stroll through nearby Herbert Park. We arrived early afternoon and got a lovely welcome from Martina. She showed us to our room, and all the facilities in the house. She recommended a number of local eateries, and we had a delicious lunch in O'Connell's on the corner. After the concert, we had a great night's sleep — our room was so comfortable and the en-suite was spotlessly clean. The following morning, we met Terry who served us a delicious (enormous) breakfast. We left our bags and went for a lovely walk around Donnybrook — when we got back, Martina had packed sandwiches ready for us for our bus journey back to Cork. I honestly can't think of anything else Martina and Terry could have done to make our stay more enjoyable — I would highly recommend Donnybrook Hall.

The rooms are clean and very cozy. The staff helpful and very friendly.

Breakfast can be selected individually, is delicious and rich.

I stayed here last night and I can only describe Donnybrook Hall as a gem! SPOTLESSLY clean, super soft bed, gorgeous rain shower head in ensuite, thoughtful touches of care everywhere from the packet of tissues on the bed, chocolate on the pillow and choccie biscuit with tea and coffee in the room. These owners obviously take huge pride in what they do. I was rushing out the door early this morning with no time for breakfast which I’m sure would have been fab and was given some fruit to take with me. Such a lovely welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend!

Although some would say it is not very big, the stay is worth its price. Everything is beautiful and clean, the guests are welcoming and warm, and the stays is punctuated with small details and attentions that make fun (and that you certainly will not find in a hotel). And did I mention the (breakfast)? If the room is worthy of a prince, the morning meal is worthy of a king and is brought to the table in several services (and I can eat that in a restaurant last night ^^)

Very friendly staff. The hotel is clean with large comfy beds. The breakfast is delicious. We are happy to recommend it to anyone.

Just spent a few days st the hotel wonderful staff very homely and welcoming home from home with that extra something beautiful period house very spacious rooms with en suite spotlessly clean and a 5* breakfast made with fresh local produce we loved it and will recommend to all our family and friends.

This place is cute as a button and the customer service, attention to detail and hospitality are supreme! Room decor is tasteful, the bathroom is modern and both very clean.

Nothing less than staying with family. Excellent service and comfort. Breakfast is more than most can handle, and they take the time to make sure you know where you are and where you're going. Highly recommended.

Victorian house with quaint decor and dim-lit/cozy atmosphere. Accessible to nearly everything, pub, restaurant, shops, take away. Public transport, etc. Owner/host is very accomodating and will make you at home. Ameneties in budget single room is private, modern, very clean and essential. I love the warm powerful shower. Overall, my stay was comfortable and really helpful during my exam days because the place is near UCD. Its a recommendable place.

Terry and Martina were very helpful. They offered us coffee, tea and cake as soon as we got there. The room was extremely clean and cosy and the shower was great. Highly recommended.

Had a very enjoyable stay here, a loverly cosy and clean room and a very clean new en suite bathroom. A very warm welcome from Debbie on arrival with loads of suggestions for where to eat in the area and Martina who checked me out the next morning was very friendly and efficient. I'll be back.

Stayed there a few months back and absolutely loved it. Terry and his team make you feel welcome the moment you step through the door. They could of very easily just shown you to your room, handed you the key and that's that, but the staff can't do enough for you and are full of local knowledge, helpful tips and advice. The delicious Irish breakfast filled me up perfectly for the day, always being offered extra toast, bread, tea, coffee or juice. Obviously there are B&B's closer to central Dublin but this quiet, pretty location was perfect for our needs as we wanted to explore further down the coast as well as seeing the city. Regular buses make it very easy to get into Dublin and the train station is only a 15 minutes walk trough the park. The rooms were very clean. I stayed in a single bedroom annex that's been added to the rear of the building and it was very quiet and comfortable after a long day. I look forward to going back to Dublin and will definitely be staying at Donnybrook Hall.

A very nice host… The house is clean, tidy and well located. Would always go there again.

As a concert goer it's about 20 minutes walk to the Aviva and ten minutes to the rds.

As someone who travels on business to Dublin on a weekly basis, it's important for me to be able to stay in familiar and welcoming surroundings. Donnybrook Hall fits the bill perfectly in that it’s extremely comfortable, well-kept and well-managed. The staff are fantastic, to the extent that it’s almost home from home for me now. Breakfast is a highlight every morning! The location is perfect, not just from a work-perspective, but also in terms of getting into the city centre, with plenty of public transport access nearby. Donnybrook Hall is also well-located in terms of local amenities, whether you are looking for a place nearby to eat, or someplace to go for a run or a walk. I couldn’t recommend Donnybrook Hall enough.

Great little clean Hotel with a very helpful Chef and staff. Breakfast as well as helpful tips were great. The next Dublin visit will also be safe back here.

Terry the owner was always nice and courteous. The Breakfast is always excellent. But the "Problem" with the Eigangstür has annoyed! Terry let it finally repair. :-)
