We got a terrible service from Varna Culture Hotel! Next to our room 103 there were two guests smoking. We had a non-smoking room and the whole floor was non-smoking. The guy at the reception didn't want to say anything to the guest from 105 or confront them. He said: "I need to proof first! " I said: "What proof do you want?!? Our room is full of smoke! Isn't that proof?!? No, when they check out I need to find cigarettes in the room. " Then another hotel employee came to our room with a spray. Spray that people use in a toilet to make it smell better. So that was the way to solve the problem. Just spray and it suppresses the cigarette smell. There was no other room available, so we checked out and went to another hotel. I called Agoda and told them what happened. The Agoda employee called hotel Varna. No, it was after 22:00, so no free cancellation. That's our service and policy according to Zainul Afandi. But welcome to Indonesia, Sir! Our service is our top priority. Yeah right!
The hotel is a vintage themed hotel and giant comfortable rooms. The rooms I stayed in were clean with no dirt and big with a good working TV. The room service was quick around 10 minutes and when they cleaned my room I came back to see it almost as clean and tidy as when first I came in. The food was very nice sadly there wasnt too much options. I'd say the parking is very complicated to park but there is a valet that moves your car for you who is extremely nice. All the workers were nice too and made the atmosphere much much nicer. The hotel is located near a mall that is very big you do not need to drive there. Walking to the mall only takes 5 minutes. Plus at night many stalls come and sell street food near the hotel. Overall i'd say this hotel is very good to stay in and isnt too far from any attractions 5 STARS.

Stayed here 2 times. The second time I stayed 29-31 May (2 nights) in Superior room. The staff is very nice and flexible. We booked this type sue to the room size it can’t be fit extrabed however they gave flexibility and our fam can stay in the same room (3 people). Thanks to the GSA Ning Prisca, was very attentive, nice, and pretty! Keep it up! Locaation is perfect for those who’s looking for night entertainment.
