My Studio Hotel City Center

It's a cozy budget hotel and the room is so small. They provide everything that backpacker needs. Hot water, good TV inc netflix, free coffee and even, the capsule bed. The location is so great at the heart of Surabaya. Good experience over here. But, they have to train their staffs better.

So disappointing.
When I arrived, I understood pretty fast that the advertisement photos are heavily edited and outdated.
It was SO dirty. They simply just sweep the floors and spray the bathrooms with the shower head to clean it daily. That’s it.
The linen are only changed between guests, and not even sure mine had been changed, since the second I pulled the ”blanket” from between the mattress and the wall, there was a crusty, white, dried puddle of snot (? ) on it. The pillow WAS COMPLETELY YELLOW from sweat, and smelled so bad that I’m pretty sure it has never been washed.
The privacy screen of my pod (and seemingly others’ as well) had squashed bugs, vomit stains and snot which could’ve been easily cleaned with cleaning wipes.
The bathroom that all the 30 people in my room shared, was always either dirty, broken, wet, out of toilet paper or smelled horrible. Same with all the other bathrooms in this hostel (yes, actually checked them all trying to find a place to change my clothes).
There were no working lockers, so you just have to pray that nobody is curious enough to go through your stuff while you’re away.
Didn’t even try the breakfast, so can’t comment on that.
Oh and also be prepared to listen to couples smooching all night on the double bunks. For some reason this placed seemed like a love hostel for young couples.
My biggest regret right after booking this hostel is that I didn’t take pictures to show you how bad it was.

Good location hostel. Staff is more than great. I got an issue with my shoes and they really did everything to solve the problem and succeeded, I felt very happy!
Breakfast is toasts with spread and coffee/ tea.

I stayed here for one night. Overall pretty disappointing experience.
On the bright side the location is great very close to Gubeng train station and the beds are the capsule style ones with coverings.
Now, to the bad points:
— only one joined shower+toilet and sink for the whole floor (around 20 beds) which is obviously not enough at all.
— the rooms was too cold at night. It would be fine if there was a proper blanket but instead there was only very thin blanket covering.
— I went to the lobby to get a breakfast at around 9:30am and was told that it was already finished and given an excuse that there were a lot of customers that day (how is it my problem? ) and so I was out of lack.
As I said before very disappointing.
