Bekizaar Hotel Surabaya (Bekizaar Business Hotel)

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I travel a lot and have reviewed many places around the world (see my reviews).
All I need is a clean room.
-Dirty sheets with stains.
-Noisy air conditioning.
-Lots of flies (see my pictures).
-Cockroaches, I killed one and saw another, which made me leave the hotel the next morning.
-Napkins instead of toilet paper rolls in the bathroom.
-Old towels.
-Window couldn’t be closed properly.
-Very thin walls.
-The hotel is near McDonald’s and across the street from Tunjungan Plaza. However, there’s no pedestrian crossing, so you have to go through the red-orange road barriers (see my pictures).
-Breakfast is not western-style.
-The call to prayer from the mosque starts around 04:20 in the morning.
-I checked in late at night and left after one night. I informed reception, and all they said was “sorry. ”.
I moved to Four Points by Sheraton next to the mall, much better and worth every dollar.
No idea how this hotel has some good reviews, maybe they’re fake or written by locals used to bugs and cockroaches.
I do not recommend this place for tourists.

Nice, affordable, and compact hotel, standard cleanliness and facilities, great location accross TP 1 Mall. Kudos for the staffs, everyone was friendly, always smiling, efficient, and accomodate early check in and late check out due to our flight schedule. Will comeback to stay here when visit Surabaya in the future 😊
