I really enjoyed staying at Rayz UMM Hotel Malang, even though it was only a short stay as a transit before our Bromo tour. From the moment we arrived, the experience was very pleasant. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, making the check-in process smooth and comfortable. The hotel is very family-friendly, with great facilities for children, including a nice swimming pool and a fun playground that kept the kids entertained. The atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing, making us feel at home despite the limited time. Overall, Rayz UMM Hotel is a great choice for families and travelers looking for comfort, good service, and convenient facilities in Malang.

I stayed in this hotel on the weekend from Friday until Sunday. I am very impressed with the services and feel of safety given by the hotel crews and staffs.
On Saturday early morning we went to the Mount Bromo site, but my wife forgot to bring his mobile phone. Me and my son left our 2 notebooks, one for business and the other is the gaming one.
On Saturday afternoon we get back to our room. The staffs already performed room’s make up. And we can see that our 2 laptops and mobile phone are still there. Nothing’s changed.
Thank you for the great services. And you managed to maintain your hotel’s brand image very very well.
I highly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel if you want to spend your holiday either in Batu or Malang city.

It’s my first time visit to Malang and I decided to book this hotel for 3 days 2 nights. Actually I want to celebrate my wedding Anniversary, I put request on my booking so they can prepare or make some simple decor to my room or any inclusive special treat for any special request, but when I enter the room my request did not happen. Not feel upset, I just being honest to my review. I also ordered the in room dining, the food was good and worth the price. However the staff are friendly, the room is comfortable, just I want to make note to the hotel if they can improve: please reduce the aromatherapy in lobby area. The smell is extremely strong and quite disturbing my nose.

The hotel was perfect for people are in need to travel between Malang and Batu due to its convenient location. Not only was the room comfortable and very clean, the staff were very friendly in accomodatimg our needs since we we're forced to do a late check-out: they did not charge any fees and simply left us with a smile. This was an amazing experience, and we will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and relatives. 👍

The first time I stayed at a Hotel with an Islamic theme. Overall quite a pleasant experience.
The room was very nice and clean, some improvement might be needed since they provide a mini playing ground in the room so I assume it is a kids friendly hotel/room but the bathroom has no lock. The Qur'an and the praying mat also provided but Qibla sign a little bit hard to be found/seen and also The Qur'an written in full Arabic with no translation.
Breakfast variations are ok, but some food is poorly cooked (perhaps it's Ramadhan month so the chef couldn't taste the food when preparing it).
Location wise very strategic, but the security has really bad/lack of awareness in assisting guests vehicle to cross the road.
Overall it's a good hotel.

Me & Family decided to stay on Rayz when I saw a great response coming from owner account on every review. Then decide to book executive room.
We are staying at 1st of April, due to a fairly close location to Batu Zoo & Jatim Park.
Staff really is good very polite and helpful.
Several things that you may cross.
-room layout (furniture placement is a bit awkward however it make up, in return of spacious room)
-Hygiene (can tell the staff to clean the room and they really helpful)
If you’re looking for hotel that have good service and spacious room.

This hotel failed to meet our expectations for a 4-star property. While the staff were friendly, communication in English was a challenge, which made our stay more difficult. Cleanliness was a major issue—the plates, our room, and even the toilets were not properly cleaned. The food, although reasonably priced, didn’t meet our expectations in terms of quality and taste. Additionally, the hotel’s overall design felt poorly planned, and it lacked the standards we experienced in other 4-star hotels during our trip. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel to the fullest.

Rooms and service were fine. The problem is only reaching the hotels.

I went to Rayz Hotel during the IconTINE2024 summit provided by UMM (collabs with Binus Malang and UISI). Got the executive room that surprisingly very large (can afford 2 double bed and one sofabed plus dining table for two). Very nice and pleasant staffs, especially Miss Kartika who support check-in during events. You should see the sky roof resto!

Stayed a week at Rayz in both the villa and executive room. It was amazing value with the fantastic rooms and service. Way better than any hotel you can find in this area. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel for what you pay for. If you are in Malang this is where you should stay. They were kind enough to provide a breakfast box for our early check out, consisting of an omelette and an egg sandwich and French fries. The rooftop bar wasn’t the best food I’ve had in Indonesia, but it’s a good enough option to eat for cheap without having to venture into malang.

Stayed in 7 hotels in 7 nights in Malang and Batu. By far, this is the best without doubt. Nothing to fault. The standard is 5 star with the price of a 3 star hotel. I totally recommend this hotel. Well done management and staff for making an effort. People notice. 😃

Very luxurious hotel, placed strategically on the vital road between Batu-Malang. Very close to the University of Muhammadiyah (UMM) campus 3, and it didn't take long to get to either Batu, or Malang! One of the best hotel I've ever visited! Kudos!
