PETIT BOUTIQUE HOTEL SOLO

Location-wise, this hotel is outstanding! located just in the city center of Surakarta, most of the tourist spots/attractions spots are in walking distance, very accessible. For example, Pasar Gedhe, Pasar Klewer, Kraton Surakarta, Alun-Alun Lor Surakarta, Slamet Riyadi Rd. Gd. Djoeang 45, Surakarta Cityhall, Fort Vastenburg, Galabo Night Culinary, Pusat Grosir Solo, etc. And all the culinary spots that I can't get to name one by one! They're less than 2km away from the hotel. This is a huge selling point if you're like us who wanted to explore the city to its fullest. I would give 10 stars for location if I could.
This hotel only has 2 floors and most of the rooms are on the 2nd floor, with no elevator and stairs but instead its using ramp, hence it's very accessible for wheelchairs or for bringing up your suitcases. Just like its name, the room that we get is a bit small, but for solo travelers or traveling with a friend, this is ideal enough. Very decent bathroom (bidet & shower water pressure is v nice! ) and beddings, and though it could feel a bit cramped, the twin beds are placed and spaced ideally for doing prayers (for muslims). The staffs cleaned your room and changed your sheets, blankets, towels each day, but you can opt for 'do not disturb' if you don't want anyone to enter your room while you're gone.

As the name says, Petit Boutique Hotel, it is a petit hotel, probably best for short term travelers who will not ask for various amenities or services. The room is small, and the bed can accommodate max. 2 persons. But overall a nice small hotel with excellent location. It is located behind Gedung Djoeang 45, a travel destination. It is also within walking distance to the center of town, Pasar Gede, Jalan Slamet Riyadi, etc. May not be a good hotel for kids, but sufficient for those who just want to sleep and explore Solo.

I stayed at Petit Boutique Hotel, and while it has its charm, there are a few things to consider.
Check-in was smooth and quick, which was a great start. The hotel itself is small yet unique, with a cozy atmosphere.
The room was compact, super small but clean, though when I first entered, there was a slightly odd smell. Luckily, it wasn’t a major issue.
The bathroom was super small and narrow, neither particularly impressive nor disappointing. They provide basic amenities like toothbrushes, which is convenient. The AC worked well, and the Wi-Fi was stable and fast, making it a functional and comfortable stay.
One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It’s right in the middle of the city and a touristy area, making it super convenient for exploring nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops.
However, the noise cancellation was a major downside. I could hear almost everything from the hallway and the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to fully relax. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be a huge dealbreaker.
My room had a window facing the road, and since I was on the second floor, it didn’t feel very private. Keeping the curtains or windows open during the daytime wasn’t really an option for me.
Overall, Petit Boutique Hotel is a decent choice for a short stay, especially if you value a great location at an affordable price. It has a unique charm, but the noise issue and small space might not be for everyone.
