The location is close to tourist attractions, legendary eateries, and a mall within walking distance. The hotel's atmosphere can transport us away from our daily routines, making us feel calm and comfortable. The bedrooms are clean, fragrant, and cool. The bathrooms are also very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food is delicious and varied every day. I often vacation in Semarang and always stay at different hotels, just to feel a different sensation on every holiday. So far, the Chanti Hotel is extraordinary.

1st tried buat very valuable hotel I ever had, even almost 10 years operating, the room was very clean, air conditioning and water well functioning. We also had pleasant afternoon tea and snacks which was more than enough in Ramadhan for breakfasting also free of some pcs of laundry accordingly. Very recommended hotel. First of mind when looking stay at Semarang!

Overall was good stay, the only thing was the room was in the smaller side. The breakfast was good & featured Semarang & local dishes like nasi ayam, nasi pindang, nasi pecel, soto etc. Also there were choices of western & asian menu. The staff were friendly & courteous. We also tried the spa, the therapists were great & we enjoyed the massage. The entrance of the hotel is through the parking lot & take the elevator to the lobby for check in.

The location is super strategic—surrounded by coffee shops, minimarkets, and souvenir centers. You can just walk everywhere, no need for a vehicle.
The hotel has that signature Tentrem Group vibe, with lemongrass scent and a cozy atmosphere.
The room isn’t too big but it’s nicely designed and compact. The large window facing the city gives a great view. Both the room and bathroom are clean, and the sheets and other amenities are good quality. It’s also quiet, perfect for resting.
Breakfast has tons of options—everything from Javanese dishes to Western food, and it all tastes great. If you order dinner, the menu is also varied and delicious. For the food, it’s a perfect.

I chose this hotel because managed by Tentrem. A luxurous loca Hotel management well known for hospitality and wide variety of local cuisines.
Chanti is rated below Tentrem so I try to compare with another 4 star hotel. Despite drop off P1 is not representative but the Lobby (at L level) is ok. Entering the standard room is like hotels in Tokyo; small room with small window and no view. But I still expect for the breakfast. And the review was not far from the fact. Food variety is quite generous in its class. The quality and taste are excellent. Only one this disappointed me: the signature roti kukus was not ready even after 1 hour (I came to resto 06.05 and left by 07.05), for the reason that I could not accept: the steaming pan was not ready yet (c'mon, bfast starts at 6 and other cuisines were ready then except roti kukus).
This never happened at Tentrem Semarang, Yogya and Serpong.

First time experience to stay at Chanti with my wife. Surprised to be dropped off at P-1 level of the building, which was not we expected for a 4-starred hotel. Condition changed when reached the lobby level. Hotel staff are very hospitable and helpful. Room was clean and quite comfortable, although we were given one without a good view from the 8th floor. Restaurant served quite various food, Indonesian, Japanese and western. Taste was good. Some of the traditional porridges were finished and not replenished. Chairs on the far end of the room behind the "pesinden" were squeaky when children and restaurant staff drew them, causing annoying sound. Proposed to the supervisor to put rubber chair-leg buttons. Ordered American breakfast take-away because we left early and it was ready at 6 am at the receptionist. Swimming pool was clean and my wife could do her morning exercise. Crampy fitness room did not attract me to do an exercise.

Early September 2025, I stayed again at the Chanti Hotel, this time with 26 friends. The room was clean, with a welcoming drink, the cafe had coffee souvenirs, the karaoke room was okay, the restaurant had a lot of food choices, I tried the nasi gandul, it was delicious. Thank you to Mrs. Sri Wulan H and all the staff and all security who were friendly and helpful during our stay at the Chanti Hotel. It was impressive and a good recommendation if you want to vacation in Semarang.

I had the best experiences at Chanti Hotel. Their exceptional hospitality, elegant rooms. The staff welcomed me with a complimentary drink. The breakfast was a feast, with a wide variety of food. No doubt, I got a total of 5 star experience. The location close to all major destination. The hotel is full of elegant decor.

I had a wonderful stay! The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of both local and international options. The ambiance of the hotel feels fancy and elegant, perfectly combining traditional charm with modern comforts. My room was spacious, cozy, and beautifully designed — truly a place to unwind after a long day. Would definitely come back!

A hotel that successfully presents a well-balanced blend of modern and traditional ambiance. From the lobby, reception, and café to the guest rooms, the warm atmosphere created by wooden materials is consistently showcased. The sense of hospitality is also well delivered through the quality of the breakfast menu and the friendliness of the entire staff.

The service was overall good. Nice staff, comfortable room. But, our concern was that there was not any cupboard available. Only 2 small shelves, which is if you stay only for one night, it's enough, otherwise, you need a bigger one.
Also, onetime, when we're in the lobby, we smell cigarettes, it is very uncomfortable since we have a baby. Later we knew that the bar is a smoking area. Maybe the hotel could manage this in the future.

This is my third time goin to Semarang for hotel trip, and for this time, I stay here in a pretty long time, for this trip I choose chanti hotel at gajahmada street for my accomodation, around gajahmada street there r so many local culinary, also there's a big mall behind of this hotel, I think iva made a good choice since this hotel is quiet comfortable. For a long stay, it's a good choice because their room is so comfy, having warm ambience and having so many facilities. Their breakfast is quiet good, everyday, their menu changed, so many varieties of the buffet. Their dessert is soooo good, so many choices. Their staff is have a great services, especially for Mrs. Clara, she is so helpful with my trip, I asked her some culinary reccomendation, and she help me with that. She is such a warm person with confident personality, and helpful person.

Recommended hotel to stay. Located in a very strategic place in Semarang. Very close to several big mall either by walking distance or by grab car. Easy to find foods in surrounding area. They also have decent parking spaces for our car. Decent room and comfortable bed. A lot of variants for the breakfast. Swimming pool was okay. It was a pleasant stay. Thanks.

Breakfast by invite: this was the best breakfast I've ever had here after so many breakfasts from other hotels. The vibe? Very elegant with a pinch of live Java music that makes it more calming. The protein menu is well-stacked (I took a bunch of them). They seem like they get some Japanese tourists or weebs since it has a Japanese section, and judging by the miso soup, it was 98% similar to the most miso I have tried. The bakery and dessert? Pretty good, but I have no idea what Tiramisu tastes like, so I take a cup of it, and it tastes like I am just eating cream. My favorite dessert was the creme brulee (small cup but it packs a punch of creamy milk and egg). But, wait, they have an intriguing dessert, the tolak angin ice cream (no idea how many compounds they made, and the herbs kick in as I take a spoon of it).
I'll take it as 9.8/10

Hotel Chanti Semarang deserves a 5-star review! Great location with easy access to the city’s attractions, friendly and attentive staff, and clean, comfortable rooms with a modern touch. The breakfast selection is excellent with various local and international options. One odd feature: the lobby entrance is from the basement, which feels a bit unusual. Parking space is also really compact. But overall, amazing value for the quality—truly a fantastic stay!

Great place I love the location … near the mall… lot of good restaurant near the hotel. The staff really amazing helping us during our stay. The breakfast one of the best that I love. They have lot of varieties of food and so so yummy. One of the best breakfast hotel in my opinion even better from the other 5 stars hotel. Only the pool and gym quite small but yes im still enjoy my stay in Semarang. Thanks Chanti Hotel.

This hotel in Semarang was amazing!
I'm giving it top marks for everything: service, the rooms, the vibe, and how clean it was.
And seriously, the breakfast was incredible!
We went there for business trip.
We loved it here. If we are ever back in Semarang, definitely staying here again.
