Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel

We chose to stay at Plataran Heritage to be close to Borobudur temple to do the sunrise there.
The hotel is a beautiful colonial style property with lush countryside gardens. The breakfast was amazing with a wide selection of food. We also had complimentary afternoon tea which had yummy delights.
As part of our stay we got a free photo session by LoftMoments. It was so much fun to do a photo shoot in the beautiful grounds. We love our photos!

Our stay at Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel was excellent overall. The colonial heritage design is tasteful and elegant, creating a very relaxing and visually appealing environment. The landscape around the pool is particularly outstanding and contributes significantly to the overall experience.
The hotel’s location is also a major advantage, with Borobudur Temple just a short distance away, making visits extremely convenient.
Breakfast was relatively simple but more than sufficient, especially given the beautiful setting in which it is served. One notable aspect of the property is that the Heritage Hotel is part of a much larger Plataran compound. We took the time to explore the surrounding areas of the resort and were genuinely impressed by the scale, design, and quality throughout.
We had dinner two nights in a row at the Tiga Dari restaurant, which offers a remarkable view of Borobudur. The setting alone makes it worth visiting, and the overall experience was very strong.
Across the entire resort, the staff consistently stood out—extremely attentive, polite, and friendly, which elevated the stay meaningfully.
The only minor disappointment occurred on our last day at the poolside restaurant, where there appeared to be several food shortages, making it somewhat difficult to order lunch. That said, this was a small issue in an otherwise very smooth experience.
Overall, it was a fantastic and deeply relaxing stay, and we would confidently recommend it to others.

I had a wonderful stay at here. The hotel was very comfortable, and one thing that stood out to me was how pleasant it smelled even every corner of the property felt fresh and fragrant, which made the whole place feel very welcoming and well maintained.
The design of the hotel is beautiful, elegant, and full of charm. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided great hospitality throughout my stay.
The facilities were also complete, which added to the overall comfort and convenience of the experience. Everything about the hotel felt thoughtfully curated, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the stay.

Beautiful hotel and resort with animals such as peacocks, restaurants overlooking amazing views of the temple, rooftop bar, and great friendly staff. Old antique trucks and cars on property. They gave us a short tour of the property which showed the care and unique Plataran ecosystem of care for the environment coupled with 5 star comfort. Rooms were spacious but could use a dresser or armoire to store clothing as the closet did not have drawers. Service is top notch and friendliest people! Breakfast had good variety and delicious options. We will be exploring other Plantaran stays!

Nice view, kids friendly.
There's a carnaval at there, sadly just 2 machine with good condition. 3 others at maintenance. And the staff said the management always forgot to repair the other machines.
THe room was spacious.
The pool just so so.

Unique hotel with beautiful view, traditional but also modern at the same time. Enjoy sunset drinking tea and snacks for free.

My husband brought me and my family to stay at Plataran Heritage Borobudur, and we had such a wonderful experience! The hotel has a classy and beautiful design, with a calm and elegant atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always making us feel welcome.
There’s a free shuttle to Borobudur Temple, which was very convenient. Even though we were running late, the staff were so accommodating and still came to pick us up from the temple — really appreciated their kindness and professionalism.
Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable stay. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

Love the atmosphere. Room is nice & clean. View from 3rd floor balcony is very nice. Staff very friendly & helpful. Some nice facilities for kids. Breakfast is nice & quite extensive. Afternoon tea also quite nice. Esthetic hotel, need to try it at least once. Advise: if you want a room with a balcony with a view, do not book a room in the 1st floor. 1st floor balcony's garden is poorly done imo. This is the only drawback of the facilities.
Ps. While we stay there, our neighbor was smoking in their balcony even though clearly stated no smoking allowed. Come on people, try to follow the rules.

It is as expected.
Road access is big enough, public area in and surrounding is very pleasant.
Room and bathroom is great.
People are also great, shout out for Willy and Naufal for superb communication and service.

A Truly Unforgettable Birthday Getaway at Plataran Heritage.
Plataran has always held a special place in our hearts — it’s been our go-to venue for life’s biggest milestones, from our wedding to celebration dinners and lunches. However, this was our very first time staying at Plataran’s hotel, and it completely exceeded all expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff set the tone for a memorable stay. We were graciously welcomed by a lovely lady with short hair who assisted us with a smooth and friendly check-in. As this trip was part of my birthday celebration, I was genuinely touched to find a beautifully decorated bed awaiting me in our room — such a thoughtful surprise!
But the surprises didn’t end there. After spending the afternoon exploring the serene hotel grounds, we returned to find a delicious birthday cake waiting for me. That small gesture made my day feel incredibly special, and I was deeply moved by the attention and care shown by the team.
My son had the time of his life enjoying the hotel’s many facilities — from meeting the various animals to the fun amusement rides and lush green landscapes, there was so much to see and do. The natural beauty of the surroundings combined with the joy in my son’s eyes made our stay even more magical.
That said, we would also like to share a couple of suggestions in hopes of making future experiences even better.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a most excellent experience. Service was very good, the rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was also great. A wonderful stay overall, and highly recommend.

Overall, it was a very good experience from checkin to check out.
The checkin and checkout process was easy, quick, and smooth. They told you right of the bat that pay at the outlets so they didn’t have to hold deposit on my card and no bill to be settled at the end. Great arrangement for my purpose which I didn’t require much of anything.
The room was spacious, clean, and enough space for massage or even yoga in the room if you wish. I love the bathtub option. A good way to soak after trekking. Everything you need in the room is provided. They give welcome snacks as well.
The afternoon tea at the rooftop was chill and the breakfast was good.

Wonderful trip to just relax and get away from it all. Was here for 3 days, 2 nights and feel like it wasn't enough.
The food was amazing with picturesque views, the room and bed was so comfortable, and the staff were all so incredibly kind and helpful!
Special mention for the spa, so fantastic we went all 3 days!
Also recommend going to their sunrise resto on top of a hill for the great views.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Plataran Heritage Yogyakarta, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hospitality and service provided by the staff were truly outstanding.
From the warm welcome at check-in to the restaurant staff, Mas Bimo, who helped us for breakfast. Outstandingyoung chap, every interaction with the staff was met with a smile and a willingness to assist. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable, but they were the people who truly made our stay special.
The entire team, from housekeeping to the front desk, were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.
I would highly recommend Plataran Heritage Yogyakarta to anyone looking for an exceptional hotel experience with top-notch hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable! You guys are amazing. We will be back!
