Hotel Le Temple Borobudur

We stayed at this hotel in December and were absolutely delighted with our experience. It is a wonderful hotel with an incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive staff — truly the kind of place where you feel comfortable approaching the team with absolutely any request. The level of hospitality was outstanding. My son was especially happy and still talks about the waiters and the amazing manager Kiki, who made our stay even more memorable. We genuinely felt welcomed and well cared for, and we would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a really lovely stay at Hotel Le Temple, and the experience felt special from beginning to end. From arrival, the service was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring, attentive without being overbearing.
We spent the afternoon unwinding properly with afternoon tea, and later relaxing in the private jacuzzi, surrounded by greenery and quiet. The spa experience and couple’s massage were a highlight: calm, well-paced, and deeply relaxing.
Our room was very comfortable, peaceful, and nicely designed, making it easy to settle in straight away. Everything felt considered, from the layout to the small details, and the overall atmosphere was very calm.
In the evening, we enjoyed a romantic dinner for two from their Christmas menu, which was beautifully presented and enjoyed at a relaxed pace. It felt intimate and personal, not rushed or overly formal.
The hotel also helped us organise a sunrise tour of Borobudur the next morning, the temple is incredibly close to the hotel so we arrived within 10 mins. It was a spectacular experience and I would highly recommend it.
Overall, Hotel Le Temple felt less like a typical hotel stay and more like a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy being present. A great choice near Borobudur if you’re looking for romance, relaxation, and thoughtful service.

If you want a visit to Borobudur temple, this is one of the nicest and most convenient places to stay, We were literally walking distance to the temple and you can be spared the hassle of travelling — after you arrive you will understand that even a short distance may still take some time to arrive.
Beyond the temple, this hotel was a peaceful oasis away from the maddening crowd. The serenity of this resort with the 18 private villas ensures that it is different from the busy world beyond the walls. The hotel also boasts a 3-storey viewing floor to watch the sunrise and sunset which is really pretty at this time of the year.
There was also a spa where my wife enjoyed a daily massage which she thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't get a private pool villa but you probably don't need to do so as the main pool was always quiet for our personal use.
Breakfast was included in our booking and allowed us to get an early breakfast before heading out to the temple. The meals were well prepared and had local and international options. While we ate dinner in the hotel, some of our other meals we ventured around (easily by grab) to try some local specialties.
The hotel may be a few years old but looks brand new and is well appointed and maintained. We were very pleased with the large shower and comfy beds. Note that the bed was on the second level and if you don't have great knees may be better to ask for a villa with the beds on the ground floor (something I only found out on checking out!

We had a short weekend stay and chose Le Temple based upon the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed! As soon as we arrived we felt calm and relaxed in the serene setting. What really stood out was the incredible service from the friendly staff who were attentive to our every needs. I would particularly like to commend the restaurant staff who could not have been more helpful and courteous and always received us with a warm welcome. Highly recommended!

4 nights here including our wedding anniversary. Driving through typical Javanese villages until you come to this most amazing complex is like something out of this world — beautiful design and oh so gorgeous 2 storey villa with sitting area downstairs and bedroom upstairs. They gave us a suite close by to the restaurant area and the most amazing wrap around pool to cool down!
The grounds are so well kept and the young team of staff were just wonderful, so polite and friendly. We ate dinner here each night and the Indonesian food was just tasty. Special treat for our anniversary with dessert and cake and beautiful sitting area right next to the pool. The upper deck and bar had such beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains as well as the temple Borobudur. We had such a wonderful stay.

What an exceptional place! Le Temple at Beaudour is not just a magnificent hotel with flawless rooms, spotless cleanliness, stunning design, and world-class spa treatments — it is a true experience.
The greatest treasure here is the people: the staff make you feel not simply like a guest, but genuinely welcomed, cared for, and valued. The owners’ vision shines through in every detail, from the exquisite cuisine to the warm and personal service.
As frequent travelers who often stay in top hotels worldwide, we can say this one holds a very special place in our hearts. We will certainly be back.

It was certainly a great experience staying at Le Temple. I highly recommend this place.
Every staff member, and even the CEO, warmly welcomed us at check-in, and the room was cozy and very clean.
The best thing about this hotel is that every guest is treated with individual care. For example, one morning I didn’t know where my child had gone (with his father), but all the staff knew and kindly guided me to him. When I arrived, he were feeding the chickens with one of the staff members. My child looked so happy, and I was very grateful to witness that moment.
Breakfast was another highlight. Every dish is served à la carte by the waiters—something you rarely experience in big chain hotels.

Hotel Le Temple is an absolute hidden (literally! ) gem. From arrival to departure, everything was near perfection. The hotel itself is nothing short of stunning, modelled and inspired by Borobudur yet with all the luxurious trappings of a five star accommodation. The individual stupas are spacious, comfortable and private and the restaurant simply stunning. The food was one of the best we’d had in any hotel as well and service was attentive, warm and accommodating. Our only regret is not spending another night there — but that gives us reason to return!

We only stayed at Hotel Le Temple for one night but it was a unique experience. The hotel was designed as a tribute to Borobudur Temple, with separate villas shaped like mini stupas. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, with little streams full of fish, greenery all around and stone wall reliefs that told the story of Tan Jin Sing, who helped reveal Borobudur to the world and happened to be the ancestor of one of the owners. There were thoughtful details everywhere, even a miniature Borobudur at reception!
From the moment we arrived, it felt special. After striking the gong at check-in, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink before being shown to our luxurious two-storey stupa villa, where a fresh platter of local fruit was waiting. It was such a shame we only stayed one night as the bed was super comfy and we didn’t even have time to enjoy the jacuzzi.
The restaurant was another highlight — delicious food in a beautiful setting. We especially enjoyed the local snacks served at afternoon tea and the fantastic nasi bakar rendang at dinner.
Hotel Le Temple is close to Borobudur but tucked away enough to be wonderfully relaxing. Between the stunning architecture, warm service and great food, this hotel made our trip unforgettable.

5 stars is not enough for this gem. Beautiful hotel, very close to Borobudur temple site. The hotel is beyond amazing. The design of the whole hotel and the rooms is perfect. Service is very friendly. The bed is the most comfortable bed ever. We have stayed in many hotels around this world, but this hotel is by far one of the best. We would love to live here.

Great staff that really tries their best to make you feel comfortable. Everyone is supper helpful and attentive. Food was great except the steak tenderloin. Amazing place well maintained with breathtaking views and great service. Would def recommend this place to my friends and fam.

The hotel is beautifully designed, integrating perfectly into the serene nature. If weather permits, the sunrise and sunset at the rooftop are just too gorgeous to be missed. The staffs are very warm and always flexible to provide the care that we need. We simply love the time here!

Awesome hotel. Room is clean and you have what’s needed for the stay. The room was very warm when we arrived. It would have been better if the AC had been turned on but, it would be a fight between being sustainable and enduring the heat a little.
Spa was good. Food was good. Sunset is beautiful and you see a little of the Borobudur from hotel. We went to one other resort for lunch. We are glad that we chose Le Temple. We will definitely stay here again if we do visit Borobudur again. We did yoga too. The instructor is good too.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Le Temple Borobudur. Every moment was filled with a light, uplifting atmosphere and peaceful energy. The villa rooms were beautiful with top-quality service, and the meals—especially breakfast—were absolutely delicious. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special! 🙏✨

The architecture and the curved pool is absolutely stunning with its inspiration from Borobudur. Our two story villa had large windows that provided stunning views of the pool and the surrounding mountains. The bed was very big and comfortable and the shower was terrific. I really enjoyed swimming laps in the large curved pool! The food was fantastic and we enjoyed getting to know the servers, especially Arum who took care of us quite a bit during our three day visit. All the the staff were lovely and we even had a chance to talk to the owner and his son about how the resort evolved and was built. And it was just so easy to walk to Borobudur, which was one of our main reasons for coming. We spent the second day going to Prambanan, which required a bit of a drive but was a very worthwhile visit. We will always remember this place and tell our friends and family about it!

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. It is a five minute walk to one of the gates to the Borobudur. All the staff are excellent. Thank you to Puji, Kiki and all others. Service is very attentive and on a par with Four Seasons properties. Staff also helps with all kinds of requests such as arranging spa treatments, drivers and trips. The food is also great. The roof top has amazing views overlooking the jungle and the top of the Borobudur. Would definitely recommend staying here to relax and unwind for a few nights whilst visiting the Borobudur.
