Definitely be sure to book a top floor suite! Very cute home and decor, great natural light in our room, although many low angled ceilings… might not be great for guests over 6-foot. After 2 weeks in a camper van, ducking for ceilings didn't feel unusual for us. Some street noise woke us up, but it's in a lively fun part of downtown. Nice simple European breakfast, but plenty of options in buffet. Nice to chat with owner and other guests during breakfast. Food in Iceland is so expensive, we were happy to have a simple breakfast included.
175 euros per night room is a semi basement storage room. I really don’t mind to add a little to stay in a four star hotel. I am really wondering how come the other guys have so satisfied review and pretty photos, I must not be that lucky. We rank this to our top three worst experience that we can recall. And many people saying there’s great breakfast. Well, you’d better to check it out by yourself, it depends how you define a great breakfast.

We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and it was nice enough. The internet speeds were very fast, the bathroom was clean but somewhat cramped. The shower is small and the curtain sticks to you which can be annoying. Odd room shapes with the angled roof but I suppose many buildings in Reykjavik suffer from this. Lots of internet cables stapled to the skirting boards and a little dusty in some places. The breakfast served all the regulars including avocado which I was very pleased with. Great location.
