Nice guesthouse for a city break in Rekjajvik.

We stayed here in October 2017, loved we that we were so close to everything. Mum loved how close it was to the main bus station, the staff are amazing and so friendly, loved the kitchen and dining room, I’ve just booked again, this time bringing hubby, see you all in January 2020.

We’ve stayed for 2 days, the place is clean, calm, the hostes Lady on the reception is very helpful and kind. It’s a laundry room where are dryer machines also, it’s comfortable to stay there, we enjoyed 100%!

Well located but next to a very busy road. Rooms small and dirty, kitchen and bathroom in common with 4-5 other rooms (also not very clean). Cheap for Iceland but overpriced for a European budget (100th the night around).

Great location, walking distance to the town and the Perlan musuem. As for the staff; Bailey, is so helpful, provides great advice and never greets you without a. I will return here when I’m next in.

My second time staying at Igdlo Guesthouse in Reykjavík. Very friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. The place is located close to Reykjavík city and only a short walk from the flybus' bus stop. The building is older, but the rooms are functional with comfortable beds and blackout curtains. The restrooms and showers are shared but in okay condition and cleaned regularly. You may hear noises from the hallway from people unlocking their rooms (keypad system) during the evening but it didn't bother us. You can have your breakfast here for 1100 isk/day (simple breakfast: bread, jam, peanutbutter, ham, cheese, oats, yoghurt) or you can bring your own that can be stored in the shared kitchen. There is tea and coffee free of charge, and you can borrow indoor slippers and raincoats. I would recommend Igdlo Guesthouse for a week or less in Reykjavík, for the couple, single or family with older kids that enjoy the possibility of making their own food and meeting other travelers. The staff is very helpful and can guide you in your plans for hikes and activities in the city etc.

Common parts dirty, broken shower door, stains of unknown origin on the oreilers (not the pillowcases fortunately). One night someone threw up in the hallway of common areas, toilets clogged with vomit and toilet paper. The staff is otherwise friendly and the location and pretty close to the city center. The room itself was clean. There was no catch near the bed and the light from the room is quite murky. I do not recommend this guesthouse even to spend only one night.

Extremely friendly reception staff made my stay very pleasant. The rooms are ok, quite clean, in need of some minor improvements. Very warm despite its external walls. Closeish to city centre.

Igdlo have a lovely kitchen, great tea, cool free food. I enjoy stay here. All staff so nice! BIG THANK.

Great guest house! Accommodated us checking in slightly early, very clean rooms and facilities. Would stay here again.

No frills rooms but very cosy. Bathrooms sometimes unkempt but are cleaned everyday; due to other guests habits. Really enjoyed our stay would recommend and will rebook 5

Nice and friendly place near to the center of Reykjavik, breakfast is ok.

We had a room for 4 person. Pretty big compared to other accomodation we had. Excellent free coffee and tea! Nice little place/garden outside to relax in.

Very cool place where you can enjoy and relax after long day of walking around Reykjavik. There is free coffee and tea at your disposal and very friendly staff. Central location and great rooms!

I've spent 12 nights here! Very good hostel. Cheap, clean, modern, comfortable, the owner is always available. Absolutely recommended.

Expensive, but still the cheapest in town. Shared bathrooms and lack of charm, but walking distance from center and nice staff.

Great place to stay if you're in Reykjevik; I would definitely stay here again. Rooms are very clean and the staff are incredibly helpful, plus very reasonable rates. It is about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town plus all the tourist bus trips can pick you up for their excursions directly from the hostel. In addition the Airport's shuttle service takes you straight there as well so everything is very convenient. Has a small kitchen facility so you can save money on food while you stay here.
