This is a horrible place. They placed my family with a 5 and 7 year old on two separate floors. The second room was an ashtray and could cause cancer in anyone that stayed there. I ended up sleeping on the floor in the other room. The managers had other two rooms next to each other but refused to give them to us because they were waiting for another family. I'm not sure what qualified that family to receive the adjacent rooms over our family. Do not stay here.

Definitely would come back every Wednesday for schnitzel night! Amazing food!

I have to be honest: I've ate at The Storchennest over 20 times… but I've only ever ate there on Wednesday nights. Because on Wednesday night, that's when the magic happens: Schnitzel Abend. Schnitzel Abend aka Schnitzel Magic is when the restaurant only serves schnitzel all night. 19 types of life-changing schnitzel, too. I believe I've ate at least 50% of them. They are all amazing in their own way, but the Princess Schnitzel will make you see God when you take a bite of it. It's two large cuts of pork with white asparagus, black forest ham, and cheese on top of it. When combined with croquettes (small, deep-fried mashed potato balls), it will change your schnitzel expectations for good. There's minimal beers on top (just a pils and a hefe, I believe), but they have a decent selection of bottles, as well as wine. Do yourself a favor and just get the pils to go with your meal… they just belong together. The service is a moving target. If the nice, friendly young lady is working, that is Kosa, and she will work very hard for you. In typical European fashion, however, she's likely to be the only one working, so be patient! She's not forgetting about you, she just has a lot of schnitzel to serve up on Wednesdays. She's very friendly and very helpful and speaks great English. If you get the older gentleman, you're not going to get any service, let alone good service… especially if you're an American.

The food here is absolutely delicious. When the weather is nice you can dine outside and maybe catch a glimpse of a stork or two (it's not just a clever name). On Wednesday they do "schnitzel abend" and offer something like two dozen varieties of schnitzel. Favorites have been the princess schnitzel with white asparagus and cheese, lumberjack with onions and fried egg, and Alsatian with camembert and cranberries. Each comes with salad bar and a potato of your choice. Koso is the only waitress we have ever had, and she's great — personable, funny, and she works very hard. Despite that, this is a small operation, so the service is often quite slow, which is why I've given it a 4 instead of a 5. You can easily wait ten-fifteen minutes just to receive your drink. So, go hungry (portions are large) but be prepared for a bit of a wait. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation, either. They can get quite busy.

Stopped in for Wednesday schnitzel night. This is probably the best schnitzel and thus far in Germany. The service was friendly but slow. But it didn't matter because the schnitzel was amazing and the price is reasonable. It's also a gorgeous dining area.

We were on the last Sunday for Brunch there and it was quite enjoyable! Very friendly staff. The selection was very good and we were, unfortunately, not eat more.

Rooms best time is over (Türzarken swollen, Teppichsockel hung way. ) Road was very good to hear. Bathroom much too small. Beds back pain inclu. Service is friendly but rushed acting. Good Breakfast. Food is okay but the area is a bit expensive. All around, a satisfying.
