Rooms and the atmosphere were nice but the toilets and showers were rather dirty. The restaurant downstairs is not open on mondays.

The surroundings are quiet, the container is sane, the staff are polite. But it's best to know what towels ask separately.

Location is near to the main station. Rooms are clean. Staff is very responsible. Not the quietest place to sleep as you can hear trains go by.

Oh this is a great non-coumy hostel! Near the Cologne Cathedral and the Haupt Bahn Hof! He helped me a lot! Rested beautifully! Cheerful Receptionist! Merry Visitors! Clean, simple, neat! Inexpensive cozy café and tables in the courtyard! For the uncouth communication with unpretentious tourists from different countries-the most suitable place! Gladly crash again there if possible!

Top location at a top price!
Since 2013, I have always checked in here with my friends to match Gamescom. 5 minutes and you are right at the main train station.
The rooms are clean. We always use the shared bathroom, which has always been very clean when we were used. The rooms are well insulated, so you don't hear about the adjoining rooms. The breakfast offer is exactly sufficient, and I would personally like to see more variety. In the evening, you can enjoy delicious food and a cool drink in the restaurant.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This place is great. Been to many Hostels in Germany and this was my favourite. The food at the bar isn't bad either.

Very delicious food at a bargain price. Beautiful beer garden. Nice staff. Even with several people, there is always a place to be got without a reservation. The lunch menu from Tues to Fri is absolutely recommended.

Location: The location of the hostel is impeccable, three minutes walk from the main station and DOM.
Service: We were very pleased with the service "staff", very nice people.
Rooms: Seen from the furnishings, the room is adequate, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The cleanliness is left to be desired. The bathroom was full of mold and the ventilation didn't work the shower curtain was also rot and the toilet seat was loose.
The 2 stars refer to the location and the service, the room gets 0 of 5 stars.

Accomodation is basic but functional. Price, location, food are super. Breakfast only basic.

Centrally located cheap sleep with misserablem bed, unfortunately had bad luck with the bed, despite message in the evening nothing happened.

Beautiful hostel. A wonderful view of the city. An abundant buffet breakfast, spotless rooms, the price is a bit pricey but for Stuttgart is among the cheapest accommodation.
The only flaw is that some beds do not have a nearby electrical outlet and in that case you have to leave the phone on the desk to charge.

Very sobering. We had a 4 bed room with shared bathroom, which was OK for a hostel (you shouldn't be careful about cleanliness). The bathroom was filthy and it was really disgusting. Despite the fact that the bathroom was cleaned, it was unfortunately not recognizable afterwards.
The 1 * is for the Super central location and the nice staff.
I would not come again.

Staff friendly and bar — & Restaurant area very nice. We had a quadruple room with shared bathroom in the hallway. The room was fine but the toilets were totally filthy! I would not check in again!

There is absolutely nothing nice in this place. Just cheap, dirty hostel with a train smell. No kitchen, no fridge, no events, no free drinks like tee and coffee and no lovely common place to sit and talk (just a noisy bar with a loud music and football). Ordinary service. Just location is good. That's why use only for a night in a city centre.

When I arrived in Cologne, I was really looking forward to a shower.
First to the positive things: — Central — prices of the rooms OK — WLAN despite Verbindungsabrüchen (every 5-10 min. )

Negative: — The stench when entering the hostel — the furniture in the single rooms very worn out and in the years — the walls of the rooms are also very dirty — a coffee almost €4 is already a usury — the terrace where you can also smoke is really in bad western part nd, the furniture which was broken in the pool, then there is an old broken boat and well so a terrace should not look.
— The breakfast for almost 7 euros was taken for this little choice. The buns were not the best, normal sausage and cheese, coffee you could drink was OK to wake up, unfortunately no eggs to eat and no orange juice, you have to buy it yourself with €3 – 2 PCs are ready for customers but very outdated and in an E After I had seen the rooms and the stench in the hostel I took a mite test and tested the mattress, heavily industed by mites. Tip to the hostel (refresh the mattresses and also paint the rooms) as it looked there I would not book anymore. Then I'd rather take an expensive one and clean it up.
Makes something out of the hostel then I like to book again but not as it looks now.

It lacks some atmosphere and cleanliness in the bathrooms. But the beds are good and the rooms are big.

One star for the location, the second for the friendly staff. In the hallway on the floors stank, showers also did not evoke pleasant experiences. The bed was not prepared, perhaps the linen left from the previous guest. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. On the ground floor there is a bar and board games. The evening is very noisy. If you do not open the window, you can suffocate in the room. But 5 minutes from the station and to Cologne Cathedral.

Not even worth a star. The worst thing I've ever seen. Incredibly dirty, rooms are not cleaned, the rubbish would not have been cleared for a week. A friend was bitten by an insect and had to go to the hospital. The people who are here are really associative, harass the women. In many rooms there is no private toilet and no private bathroom. The only good thing is that it is close to the DOM.

Improved bathrooms, access to power outlets in the room inconvenient, prices for food a tall nap. Great location, great common area.

I do not recommend it to stay if you are looking for tranquility or a place to spend the night and continue to travel to another city. We took a room with private bathroom for two people. We couldn't sleep all night. Music was heard conversations, knocks of doors and noises of nearby rooms until 6:30. Although the Hostel has common spaces on the ground floor is not encouraged to use. Private rooms should be located on a quieter floor. The shower barely came out of water. The positive thing that stood out is the location and its proximity to the central station. Overall I don't recommend this place.

What a bad experience staying overnight in this hostel. I stayed for two nights in a one person / single bed room with bathroom and toilet in it. I checked in on Saturday afternoon, paid my due directly via credit card, plus the deposit for the magnetic card to enter my room. I put my luggage and my backpack in my room before left to the city centre to do some shopping. After the shopping and dinner I went back to my room, put my shopping bags, took a shower and went out to the city centre again. After midnight, I went back to the hostel in order to get rest, but surprisingly I couldn’t enter my room! I tried to use the magnetic card as usual, but it didn't work because I saw that the doorhandle was hanging down. It was BROKEN! It seemed that somebody tried to open the door forcibly. I reported this directly to the man who was working at the reception, but he couldn't do anything but waiting for the technician to come after 9am. I said that I have an appointment at 10am so I need a good rest, took a shower and wear nee clothes. All my personal belongings were in the room, including the saline solution liquid for my soft lense, which I really need to use it before going to bed. I made it clear that I wanted a better solution than just waiting in the lobby! Then he apologized for this incident, offered me a refund for that night (which never happened till now! ) and he offered me another room to sleep for a few hours before the technician comes after 9am.

It's very cheap. The bar is quite good and the rooms are spacious, with no bunk beds. The bathroom is sooo small.

For celebratory people okay … for professionally present not recommended. Far too loud! Cleanliness … well. Breakfast: Is okay. Wi-Fi worked once and then again it didn't. Bran patience. Staff are nice.

Great location and nice rooms! The bar is really nice too, I can thoroughly recommend stopping in for a drink. We had a room for 6 to ourselves, which was nice for privacy/security. Staff all very friendly, all in all I've had a great experience.

Who would have said comfortable clean well-attended.

This hostel cancelled my booking without contacting me in any way, stranding me alone in the city. I booked a bed through email. It's their policy that you call more than 24 hours prior to check-in and give them credit card information, to hold your spot. I called five days before, and then again the day before my booking. Both times, the staff member on the phone confirmed my booking. I confirmed twice on the phone and once over email that I would arrive after 3pm. When I arrived, at 5pm, they had completely deleted my booking and given the bed to someone else. The staff was apathetic, absent, and rude. The location is excellent, however!

It's clean and you can spend the nights here. Unfortunately, the doors are not particularly quiet when closing, which could also make it louder later in the evening.

The cleanliness looks because of their absence, they clean the showers and baths as much once a day, which is tremendously insufficient and a nest of bacteria. Look where you look is dirty, even the sheets when you arrive the first day.
The Wi-Fi is horrible, low connection quality.
The best: It is 5 minutes from the central train station and the cathedral (full city centre), the restaurant/bar offers meals for about €10 that are pretty good.

We stayed 5 days a group of friends and it is an ideal place, the location unbeatable and the atmosphere within a 10. I recommend it!

Very central Hotel located 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. Good connection to the Wi-Fi, rooms in accordance with the price, very friendly staff, has a large bar ideal for a drink before leaving. They provide the sheets for you to make the bed and the shared shower is a little small and it gets complicated to dress up in it when you have finished showering.

Cheap Hostel that has what it takes to sleep and bathe. The internet did not reach the rooms and sometimes it was cut. There was No kitchen but they offered food at a good price at the bar.

Nice hostel in an ideal location! Rooms are nicely decorated, the staff was helpful and the bathroom was small but clean. Rooms are recommended because the respective floor bathroom is less clean and really sparse (1 regular shower per floor) with extra bath. All in all great stay in a hostel with good value for money.

This was the cheapest we cold find meaning excellent value for money, especially given that this is closer to a shared hotel rather than a hostel. The rooms are fantastic, spacious and modern, storage space is provided and the bar is beautiful. Food is also available for purchase again at phenomenal value, I had some of the best meatballs I've ever eaten. 10/10 would recommend.

And the name leaves no doubt: anything is possible (Cafe, bar, restaurant)
We tried the lunch special today. For 7, 50 or 7, 90 Gets a good meal. The pancakes, was even the best I've ever tasted. (Am also no expert)
The location is suitable for groups, couples, and business lunches.
In warm weather, you can sit outside.
Rings around the DOM/Hbf, there is only little better alternatives in this segment and not with the good price-performance ratio.

Super location, everything clean, very nice employees. For these cheap price absolutely recommended! And what is also very important, the sanitary facilities were clean and of high quality. Next time, we will come back. :D.

It was not very clean. I would not have stayed comfortably for more than one night. It is nicely located by the station.

The Hostel for Backpackers is really close to the central train station. It's a hostel of 5 floors. I was on the third floor in a dorm with 6 beds total. I was the first in the dorm en it smelled kinda weird. Luckily it had 3 windows that can open so the smell was gone pretty quickly. The beds a good and I slept fine. You front door is always open. I was partying in the city and there was no problem getting in at around 4 am. The shower are mixed. There are multiple showers some of them are really great others are not. I believe the breakfast was brought with the group I traveled so I can't say anything about that.

From Saturday until Tuesday in the nests must say last descending… I wash on Saturday and had 3 defects in the room…
Chewing gum on the wall that the bed layers was filthy and the shower head was broken there full pot out ran dasWasser on the seal.
Am down then not me I complained, the Duschkorpf and the bed layers were only on the day of nasten geweckelst. The gum had I myself wake up do what stuck to the wall.
Then trouble had 3 nights and no sleep at all, because sollche English of the opinion were müsen after 22 and at night the door pop, beat shrines against locker around on floor. Was the 1 night 3 times below me I brought, they were only ermarnt that should be quiet. The 2 was 1 time night below mih sword got on the night of Monday Tuesday 1 times below me Beschwert. Hab said because the crash every night, there were frequently above… It does not happen except that they were ermahrnt… Who have they Hausordung violated in the stands when rule holds to fly out, but that passnierte nothing… Sorry for what Hausordung if enforce?
Below the Lobi where the PC is, the mice around between kitchen, WC and the wooden wall and army ran then on the Monday. And in my feet past.

Part got me my money back, then just Zahlz 173, 00 EUR for 3 Nachte.

Tip for a tasty lunch.

The location is the best point of the hostel. The single room I booked was big and clean enough. You can hear from one room to another, so the noise sometimes was an issue. You only get Wi-Fi in the hall.

Super Hostel, netter service, super Frühstück, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Cheap, central and comfortable. I do not ask more when I find something more economic.

Wir haben unsere Übernachtung im Station Hostel sehr genossen. Das Tolle war, dass das Hostel direkt am Bahnhof, also direkt im Zentrum am Dom, bzw. In der Altstadt gelegen ist. Also kurze Wege zum Einkaufen und Spaß haben. Das Hostel selbst ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Top Adresse in Köln.

We went to the hotel during Gamescom. The reviews were very mixed so we really hoped for the best, and we got the best. The reception staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and looked nice. The hotel is positioned only a minute or two from the main railway station/cathedral. I would visit the hotel again any time.

Kind of cheap. Very good location, close to the station. Dirty, loud, annoying people outside.

The very central location and clean bathrooms are a definite plus, free Wi-Fi worked well and there was easy access to PCs. The staff was friendly and helpful but one of the guys working on the reception desk had a peculiar taste in music and forced everyone who wanted to sit in the common area to listen to his looped videos of old men attempting to sing some bad a** metal songs.

In General, it was a practical and hygiene accommodation. The location is good, rooms are clean and the new bathroom was functional and beautiful. Only on the corridors has it due to the shared bathroom stunk, as the doors may be left open. Unfortunately, it is the guests is not possible, in a hostel room for a relaxed beer, because the receptionist this is not permitted. We met six in a 4-bed room and had the music on the lowest Volume level. The employees of the Hostels on the door obeyed, came in without knocking and has our teacher as primitive and naive insulted. Thereupon it was us, threatened us for two hours of shut out. In this language, and this behavior towards the guests, I would as a boss to act quickly. After a short discussion, the parties also agreed that we were in the hotel lounge.

English short version: The price (17€/Night in dorm) are absolutely normal. But it's the best and cleanest one, I’ve been by now! This is the First time that I bother to do anything on the Internet to evaluate. And the reason is that the Hostel is of a completely different impression than most of the reviews here! At first I doubted whether I here despite the bad reviews to post, but finally it was the cheapest I found (17€/night in a Dorm) and VERY Central! I was totally pleasantly surprised! The rooms were nice and clean. Unlike many of the other dorms in Hostels, there was here no bunk beds. Everyone had their own bed. Also here doing little things such as a shelf at the bed and at least two outlets per bed (for example: for Laptop and cell phone) just still a certain difference. The bathrooms were very new and almost lifted and stylishly furnished, clean anyway! Furthermore, there were just small nice Serviekleinigkeiten : 24-hour front Desk and I could give me an iron to borrow. The self-catering kitchen, I have not used, but would be under other circumstances determined also of great help for the frugal Backpacker. All in all, not the cheapest Hostel (where I was), but still not as expensive to call. A normal Hostelpreis, but in comparison to other, much nicer and cleaner!

Very good hostel, directly to the Cathedral in the old town-nice, hilfsbreites staff — renovated bathrooms, good price performance ratio. At any time again!
