Stayed here twice during my visits to Cologne. Room was good. Breakfast was pretty standard western style, no complaints nor anything that stood out to make any special remark. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. During checkout there was a long queue and we had to wait for like 20 min for our turn. They take time and care to serve every guest to the best which is good, but not really helpful if you are hurrying to go somewhere.

Ive been here several times over the years and always enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are spacious. The host and/or hostess was always very helpful and friendly. Me and my friend usually went to the swimmingpool later on the day so we, personally, never had issues going for a swim — like someone else mentions. The location is perfect and easy to reach when you travel with public transport.

The hotel located near a lot of shoping & restaurants, and it's also within walking distance of railway station. Staff are friendly and helpfull. The rooms are quite large, well-maintained, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is perfect. Very comfortable stay!

The room was clean. Everything is clean, simple, to a minimum. Minibar, safe, gift-marmalade. The rest is all for money. Conveniently located, close to restaurants, cafes, train station, attractions (Cologne Cathedral). We had a wonderful view from the window-the yard, immersed in greenery (were at the end of May).

Have been completely satisfied here for many years. The hotel has a central yet quiet location close to the cathedral. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the entire staff. On more nice stays!

Location perfect! — very close to main train station kbh, cathedral, shopping, Trips on the Rhine. Very clean hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they sent a bottle of champagne to our room FOC — lovely touch! Food lovely — good breakfast selection for all tastes, recommend the Freaky Jack burger with sweet potato fries for evening food. Would definitely stay again! Thanks all at the Lindner!

While the room was rather basic, the gym and the breakfast were very good.

The hotel is really great but on the parking fees in the underground garage is not real pointed €20 per day real hammer. This is after you have pulled the ticket at the bottom.

You have to pay extra for high speed Wi-Fi, don't expect to be able to be doing anything apart from a little web browsing. Large rooms, near a quiet road and very central.

The staff were not friendly. I have lost my handbag then I have been informed in the reception, the Lady and the Gentlemen de there have simply given no importance they were totally indifferent after motto it is their problem. The view from the room is directly to several walls of a residence, which is not at all beautiful, we feel like we are in a prison. The restaurant on Sunday was too. I wanted to eat in restaurant next to the pool, the lady told me the restaurant and the pool didn't belong to hotel so I can't eat there.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food has been very good. Breakfast buffet was 5 * value. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the room was not the best. Hair in the bathtub and at the bathroom door, dust on the cupboard, stains on the sheet and the operations. Even after I had mentioned these shortcomings at the reception, the next day the bathroom door was not cleaned or the sheet was not changed. This I mentioned again and one has apologized and given a free drink.

Hotel is nice. Rooms are big enough, clean, comfortable and new. Furnitures are new and nice. Bathroom is also big enough. They have open buffet breakfast and it is good. Staff in the hotel are polite. There is Sauna, jakuzi and pool in the hotel. It is very good to use them as free of charge.

The hotel is very well suited for a city trip as it is centrally located and within a few minutes walk in the centre. However, the parking facilities, as usual in Cologne, are modest. The hotel does not have its own parking garage, only a few parking spaces on the street. The surrounding parking garages are expensive.

Nice upmarket residences in Colong city. Centrally located and near to the Bahnhof.

Room frumpy very expensive breakfast insolent reception dingy — dusty — Mitsebeiter in the back office is open in Facebook cabinets — looks: — (breakfast a cheek — definitely more expected for this price! Thank you why suffice — a part of the staff (in the evening) very nice and friendly — the next morning friendly but super slow — an overnight stay well over €200! Definitely I am very disappointed.

I stayed at the Lindner Hotel am Dom and enjoyed the time there very much! On the 7th floor in one of the suites with balcony and view of the Cologne Cathedral you will find a very nice ambiance and furnished room.
The room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom was equipped with a shower and a bathtub.
The friendly staff is available around the clock for any questions!
Breakfast: Very rich and modern! Soy milk was available. ;-)

We liked the hotel again. Above all, we would like to emphasize that all guests on the day of the year were allowed to enjoy the breakfast longer and only until about 12.30 were allowed to check out.
So the departure day was associated with absolutely little stress. Thank you very much.

We choose this hotel (Lindner), because of previous experiences in Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. We stayed for just one night, just the two of us. Near to the center, next to The Dome next to a lot of bars and restaurants. From entering and leaving, everything was great. Nice people, great location with an underground parking (just 20 euro for 24 hours! ) and nearby everything we wanted to do. Room was clean and a lot of space. Breakfast was. Well… a lot :-). We also saw some families and business people, a great mix of visitors.

Warm welcome at arrival. The room is nice and clean but too warm even if system off. Obliged to open the window to have cold air in.

Very nice hotel near the train station. Room clean and functional, breakfast for me completely adequate and in a relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money.

I have stayed at the Lindner Dom before and was very pleased with the stay. But this year I think the stay would have been more worth the price paid with a few changes. The bath towels seem smaller and thinner than I would expect from a high end hotel. Though the mini bar was nice, it would have been very good if there was a coffee and tea service in the room for guests who are not getting the buffet breakfast. Also I miss the bar soap in the bath room, not just the mounted liquid soap in the shower and by the lavatory. Sometimes you just need a bar of soap. The bed was very comfortable and supports the back quite nicely.

The hotel is great the location is great to downtown we were on the Christmas market The breakfast is good, the rooms are big enough only the TV could be a number bigger all in all a good hotel.

It's not the first time I'm in this hotel. fast check in and check out. the room in perfect condition, the only thing missing is a conditioner for hair. the correct breakfast, the salmon is missed. Perfect place for my needs. Of course next year I will return.

Room was very clean. Small but comfortable. Booked a room with two twin-beds, those were a little on the narrow side, but it was manageable. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Parking was a little expensive, but overall we had a great stay.

Clean, modern hotel very close to the train station and the Cathedral. Good breakfast. The hotel is attached to an apartment building and health club — hotel guests can use the small pool and sauna for free (it was pretty busy with regular residents when we visited) and use the gym, although I didn't notice while booking that the gym carries a fee of EUR 9.00 per person, per day. This is expensive at the best of times, but the gym facilities aren't well maintained — the Concept II rowing machines were new models but the chains were un-oiled and stiff.

We only stayed for one night, but was left longing for more. The room was comfortable and roomy and perfect for travel with our son (we had a junior suite for 3 people which was a really great value). The location, a short walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral, train station, and Rhine River was excellent. The breakfast was the best we had during our week of traveling through Germany — huge variety and top quality in everything they offered. Highly recommended for either business or leisure travel.

Good points: Excellent, extensive breakfast, served on a lovely outdoor patio. Lovely pool/fitness area (although weekend opening hours are limited). Bad points: I booked a Business Class Room after reading on the hotel's own website that this included facilities such as a balcony, bathrobe, tea and coffee machine, slippers and other extras. Unfortunately when I checked in I was given a standard room. Even when I produced my printed booking to prove that I had paid for the Business Class, I was told that there was nothing that could be done as the hotel was fully booked. After some argument, the receptionist gave me a kettle. However, this is hardly a reasonable compensation, and I still had to buy my own teabags from the supermarket! I am very disappointed as I expected a very different standard to that which I paid for.

Perfectly functional hotel. Nice size room, good mattress, decent bathroom. Efficient checking and check out. Stayed here for one night before travelling on. The location is very practical as it is only a 5minute walk from the station.

We were four of us in the context of a short holiday (weekend) with musical visit to Cologne. I was ever in your hotel many years ago and have booked it again because of the central location. The rooms have liked us. A shower in the bathroom would be more comfortable than a bathtub (risk of slipping when boarding; Shower enclosure not well-thought — water comes through the gap of separation to the wall to the outside on the floor).

What many do not know you can eat at the Lindner quite well. (The rooms I can't tell, as I head for the Lindner only to eating or drinking coffee).
There is a lunch menu (including appetizers and dessert) and a salad buffet. The quality is good. Now wait just to order. This is important for all who have a short lunch break. The portion sizes vary. Almost no one (myself included) so far the Burger with the fried potato wedges did.
There are also dishes with a normal portion size.
In the summer it is nice out to sit.
The conditions are all friendly.
The price quality ratio is good.

Great hotel with spacious rooms, staff is welcoming and extremely friendly, breakfast buffet is superb… A 3 minutes walk to the Köln HBF gives you easy access to anywhere in Köln, and a 4 minutes walk gets you to the famous Köln Cathedral with the Weihnachtsmarkt where you can enjoy some nice Glühwein and Sausages… It was truly a Christmas to remember…

We booked this hotel due to its central location at the train station for our city travel.
When booking, we were somewhat confused, because we had read the many negative reviews about breakfast. Now our opinion after we were on the spot: certainly money is 22 euro per person and breakfast, if necessary Too much of it. We were lucky and able to book a weekend package including breakfast and there was the TOP value for money: there was a day even once freshly squeezed orange juice ;-)
The location is very central: only 5 minutes walking from central station and Cathedral.
At the hotel, everything was very clean! The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. We have felt very comfortable!
Our room was very large, even though it was "only" a standard room, we had a lot more space despite baby bed.

We had a pleasant weekend in Cologne, but the 'Lindner hotel Dom Residence' we found rather outdated. Our room (small windows, no view) was decorated quite austerely, which was emphasised by the uncomfortable lighting (first-generation very bright energy saving bulbs). Not a welcoming atmosphere to come 'home' to. We had expected more from the bathroom: showering in a cramped bathtub under a too low hanging showerhead with mediocre water pressure does not give a 'four star'-feeling. The towels could use some fabric softener. During our stay the two main elevators did not function very well: one of them was completely out of order – so we had to use the stairs to the fifth floor on more than one occasion – and the other one failed while we were inside; we were stuck for about 10 minutes. The good: — the beds; — cleanliness; — quality of the breakfast. The bad: — unwelcoming atmosphere of the hotel room; — the old-fashioned bathroom; — failing elevators.

Everything was good. But I, should say there is no room service. I wanted drink a cup of coffee but I couldn't. Because restaurant is closed. Clean, silent, location are very good.

Very bad Hotel signs. Navigation also had trouble. Despite E-bookers and email with your wife Rössler, our booking at the reception could not be found. Room 706 and 708 are very quiet. Problems: No rain protection on the balcony. Rooms especially carpet full of stains and wear and tear. Concept of the shower in bath wildly off the mark. Shower cums to glass dividers — pre-programmed bathroom under water. Good or full occupancy of hotel lift is always busy. Staircase can be used in one direction only. Once out there you have to down in the ground floor. Kindness at the reception i. O. At the bar to be desired however, at breakfast, we recommend placement of the guests. Especially Asians sitting table often alone on a quad. (More second tables).
Calculation of a water bottle in the room is overpriced. WILAN extremely slow. Room was clean.
Bed with four different pillows is commendable.

The hotel is situated in a top location, it is located only a few minutes from the train station and the Cologne Cathedral. The breakfast was very tasty and the selection was huge.
The room was, how's a hotel room should be well equipped and clean.

I was just in the lobby to pick up jemnden, but the lobby had everything needed for a lobby. There were seats and a television and a desk. 10/10 would'nt wait again.

Wonderfull stay in this nice Hotel.

The view was not very beautiful from the fifth floor, Deutsche Post — sign:) and Police station. Thought I felt very safe! We had two rooms with the door between, nice for family. Twin-room was big, so there could have been a possibility to have an extra bed for a 13-years old, but we had to take and pay:) for two rooms, in this case it was quite expensive. Fitness, pool and sauna were very nice, we use every day. Hotel is only few minutes away from the DOM and HBF. Easy to walk around the city center. For people who like to stay in the middle of the town.

Nothing to complain: check in and check out fast, courteous and efficient. Breakfast varied and quality. Spacious room (309) and clean. Quiet neighborhood, also inside the hotel at night no disturbance.
To fix: unable to climb on the floors on foot (blocked ports) and this "forced" to the use of the lift; in case you're wrong even plan you have to go back downstairs to go up (! ). Finally, the choice of pillows: three, in various sizes, but none high and rigid, as many (including myself) prefer. To be absolutely.

At the reception when you ask questions, we avoid to answer you no… we preferred to get by with Yes it must be possible, normally there are, … While it is obvious that the receptionist do not know or know for a fact that the answer is no, but dare not tell you.

We were between Christmas and new year's eve for two Nights in the Lindner Dom Residence. The location is really top, in 5 min you are at the Duomo in 10 min in the Schildergasse. From the Breakfast I was minimally disappointed. There were no omelets can be ordered, there were no Cornflakes, the Honigspender was so unfavorably positioned, that the favorites are not out could. The Spa area in the adjacent Seniorenresidence is well intentioned, but more also not. It has somehow a Kursaalatmosphäre. The rooms are functionally equipped. Overall, the high Aufpreispolitik, be it the Minibar, Breakfast, Wi-Fi, Garage, I do not like.

Nice hotel, clean rooms and a tasty breakfast buffet. Friendly and nice staff Minus points for the billing of the wlan acces and the price of the fitness facilities. This should not be possible in a premium hotel with an already reasonably expensive room price.

In any case the Hotel is for Kölntouristen to recommend. It is located close to the railway station and town centre. The Service is pleasant and the rooms are absolutely in order. Requests have been done promptly and to our requests was responding well. The Breakfast was good.

The location is very Central, the Cathedral is in the immediate vicinity. The rooms match the description, are practical, comfortable but not cozy, it lacks a certain Flair. As deficiency I would like the clairaudience of the room to mention: You can hear voices from the hallway and it vibrates the whole room when in the hallway, another door is involved. The staff was friendly and articulate. A big Minus is there for the high-priced and by no means perfect Breakfast. 22, — Euro per Person can expect a great deal. Our expectations were not met, rather disappointed: the space was cramped, there was An atmosphere like in a cafeteria. The selection left a lot to be desired. The scrambled egg was even cold. In every street cafe you can get for less than half of a better Breakfast. We will be at the next Kölnbesuch otherwise oriented.

The Twin room was properly equipped, the two different sized beds comfortably (one about 90 cm wide, one around 1.10? wide). In the bathroom unfortunately, a lot of small Detail flaws. So, there are directly at the sink, no towel rail. These are just on the opposite wall. The bath tub had a glass wall, in the shower and a splash guard should meet. This, however, had neither the wall nor the bathtub, a density separation, so that the splashback is rather ineffective, and lack of attachment, even when showering constantly to the inside to work. Only by a untergequetschtes towel was the separation, at least so stabilized that the showers are not disturbed. The Service has this towel simply put, a repair of the detachment, no one has tried. Ventilation of the bathroom was also rather poor, a deduction is not noticeable. Shame really, most of the defects in the bathroom would be through little effort or can be dealt with, so leave, unfortunately, a rather annoying impression and lead to the depreciation of the Hotels.

Everything was super. Breakfast was abundant there and very Tasty and fresh. Staff was nice. Room was clean and tidy. Nothing to complain about! 100%!

Any time we travel to Cologne we chose this hotel because we know there will a a very friendly service and the location is very convenient when traveling by train. Also the rooms are really clean. In the restaurant they have great wine (I love the PURO Malbec), the food is still good but used to be a bit more fancy a couple of years ago. Breakfast is really good including some loose tea which I appreciate as a tea lover. A water cooker in the rooms would be a nice thing to have.

Mostly the Hotel is to recommend. Just little things like paid Wi-Fi, expensive Parking and the somewhat inattentive staff at Breakfast are to mention. Saturday was no coffee offered on Sunday without comment from the plates cleared. A demand, whether we are done with Breakfast and you clean up could, we would have been happy. Otherwise everything was in perfect order.

The Lindner Hotel Dom Residence is a very nice and clean hotel at an ideal location in the center of Köln. While it is located in the middle of the city, it is very quiet and I had no complaints about noise whatsoever. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Köln.

Very good location, the hotel can be taken only for that, the neighbors will be worth +%50 at least. The rest of the last century. Internet fee (10 euros per night), Parking at the Hilton (29 euros per day and 300 meters down the street), business room with a beautiful view on the wall of a nearby building. Neighbors slammed the door — the departed Wallpaper:) Finish and style under the pool of the USSR…

Well-Run Hotel with Helpful staff at the reception Negative is that not enough Parking is available for guests. Rooms have a pleasant size and stand type according to set up. Prices of the Mini Bar are available in any ratio, and should be aligned to the guest to allow for in-room drinks. At Breakfast everything was there but the presentation was mediocre, and should be in the construction / arrangement to be improved. For a 4 star Hotel, I would also eg. Self-squeezed orange juice wish. The Book should be the reason for the stay to be in demand and eg. The choice, against flowers to be replaced. Would be good evidence about programs in the city with the opportunity to make this about the Hotel prefers to book the Cologne even more attractive for guests to make and to provide assistance. Perhaps it would also be Events in connection with an Overnight stay offer With kind Regards strength.

Modern room was not available, nevertheless you could very well, in the courtyard to sleep, what annoyed me: Breakfast 22€ W-Lan is not free of charge And for a Rate of 199€ / night. Felt it was very overpriced for so little Service, I have more of it promised.

I had a durchgelegenes bed. The ventilation at night is a bit noisy and the Breakfast for EUR 22, a nerve: frozen bread and flavorless sausage and rubber type cheese from the bag. The room was clean. This Hotel beech again I do not.

Modern hotel in the centre of Cologne. Spacious rooms, comfortable, good room service, a spa and fitness centre. The best without a doubt, the breakfast, wide and varied but a little expensive.

Great hotel. Stayed at the Junior Suite for 2 nights with 3 people. Perfect service and great hospitality. A quick check in and good information provided by the front desk. The room was perfectly clean and everything was in working order. The bar was good with loads of drinks and bites to choose from. Also the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Because of that we made a rather royal tip that was big enough for them to actually call our room to confirm if we did not make a mistake. As for the food in the restaurant. Well lets just say I want there chef to cook for me every day. It was phenomenal. The meat was exactly as ordered and the side dishes were not to big or to little. And the pasta was equally good. Breakfast. Well what can I say its once again great. They have basically everything you could want for a breakfast. Also if you have any allergy's or diet restrictions don't hesitate to ask the staff about what you can and cant have. Almost all of them know what you can eat and if they don't know it the chef sure dues. As for me ill be back next year! Ps. This is our second year in a row we go to this hotel it is still as good if not better then last year.

Very nice stay. Had to extend my stay due to illness and hotel staff were very accommodating. Would recommend highly. I am sure I will stay here again.

Very good accommodation, great location, the staff friendly and helpful. Room large and comfortable. Close to the railway station and central activities — muzeums, cathedral, shopping, restaurants, relax by the river. I definitely recommend Lindner Hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for the Final Four event. The room was large and the standard was good. Quiet. We found it very comfortable. Close to the railway station and central activities. Very expensive breakfast (we found a nice place to have breakfast 5 min from the hotel). A little bit sorry about internet cost of 10 Euros for 24H. That's not necesarry in 2014. The reception was a little bit narrow and impersonal. The staff was friendly. Had a very good meal at the restaurant in the evening, to a good price.

Great accommodations, location and super friendly staff. Right downtown, less than 5 minutes walk from the Train station, Dom, the Alt Stadt and shopping. The breakfast was a bit pricy, but good for all tastes. Internet was pay-to-play but quality was worth it (no drops, repeated log-ins, etc. And decent bandwidth). Would definitely recommend and visit again for business or pleasure.
