Horrible hotel. The room is small, the balcony is full of sigaret buts, the shower is old and above all, no reception or any personal feel with this hotel. It is 90 euro's very bad spent.

For less than 50 euros in the city center at the train station I didn't expect anything special. For two I don't want to sleep in the room The eight-digit code annoys something, four digits do too.

We had been there a year ago and wouldn't go there again! The rooms were totally outdated, the breakfast was very loveless and the cleanliness leaves something to be desired! And if you say something because you are dissatisfied as a guest and actually want nice days in Cologne, you will be treated naughty! Basically have nothing against the homeless but they sit there in a group in front of the hotel, drink alcohol, consume drugs and urinate directly at the hotel door! But no one cares about that. This is not so great if you booked there with child! The only good thing about the whole thing was the location, it can't be more central!

Really close to the train station, good location. Room is a little bit small but the bed is quite ok. Free mineral water included.

Super Preis — Leistungsverhältnis. Die Nähe zum Dom bzw. Hbf ist genial. Einzig das Wlan könnte nich ein wenig schneller sein.

Location was good, room fine. Bathrooms not so clean and outdated. Corridors in need of renovation.

A good Place, automatic check in and key, the room was good. I suggest it if you do not have big expectation.

Very small room but clean no information check in takes place even via a computer no direct staff to address no boarding rooms are equipped with TV unfortunately no hair dryer as it was actually described check in only from 3 pm possible before you arrive Not in the hotel as you only have a code in there is no lobby to wait or other.

Expecting luxury at the price is rarely stupid. It is clean, top location and friendly staff. What more do you want for this cheap price;)

Worst hotel I've ever been to. Dust everywhere, balcony door did not close, although I arrived during the times when the reception was supposed to be busy was no one there and the key only deposited. Wouldn't be a problem if you didn't have any complaints. I called twice once for the balcony door and once because of the non-functioning TV. For the balcony door I was apparently too stupid and the TV does not go because analogue yes was turned off… Ah okay then you don't equip or how?
Noisy at night but the location is very central.

A little complicated for cheking. You have to go to a hotel Q is 4 blocks from this place. No Tien E lift and are 65 steps you have to get to the room. Good views.

Room drafty, bathroom unreasonably dirty, the bed is hard as the floor and almost at the same height, no noise protection. The location is good, that's it. Prefer to choose a hostel or equal to n real hotel.

AVOID! SCAM! BEWARE! CAUTION! Avoid this hotel / Boardinghouse at all costs! I paid for 2 nights stay and could not sleep 1 night in this Boardinghouse. The kiosk assigns codes for entry into the building and the room. The code that I was given for the room did not work. I tried many times to enter the code correctly, but it NEVER worked. I called the hotel service line and was told they could not fix the problem and I should book a stay at a different hotel. The next day I demanded a refund for my original room, but the receptionist could not do so. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Because of this kiosk error, I could not sleep in a room I paid for; I had to pay for a separate room at a separate hotel instead. At the time of this writing, have not been refunded my original hotel fare. I was scammed by Dom Hotel Boardinghouse. I paid for a room for 2 nights, and could not enter my booked room because the assigned code did not work. I would assign this hotel a ZERO if I could. Google does not allow it; hence the 1 star.

The room is very centrally located. Unfortunately, it was overhauled with a small budget. The parquet is just laid on the carpet. In the joints between the wall and the parquet, a lot of dirt accumulates. The windows are old. This is a good way to hear the noise from outside. You can also hear every word from the room next door. Who has a good sleep is clearly in the advantage. The bathroom is Ecklig. The shower heads do not fit into the holder. Everything is whitewashed and dingy. Price with 99 Euro for 2 nights was OK. Still never again.

Negative: Unfortunately, these things outweigh whether schimmliges bath, stains in carpet or rundown furnishings, we are glad to have booked only for 1 night. Still very noisy and windows leaking. And there are no local staff. You can only check in from 14.45 pm via a computer in front of the entrance — you don't get in earlier.
And the breakfast room is empty. Here you have to go to a partner hotel a few corners.
No recommendation on our part. The hotel has its best years behind it.

This is not a hotel, it's a hostel. Do not stay here, sleeping in the street will be better service.

I would not stay there for more than one night. Above some Turkish shop, no card payment etc.

I am a budget traveller and stayed here for one night, after a full day travelling and before another full day's travelling. Positives: location is excellent and we wanted somewhere close to the station, so the location was perfect. Negatives: — we had given an arrival time but hotel was closed. Had to collect keys from a REALLY noisy kiosk round the corner. Didn't appreciate having to get my passport and personal info out whilst surrounded by drunken people. — street noise, including loud music from kiosk (though this was turned off at a reasonable time) — bedclothes were clean BUT other things in the room weren't: a horribly stained throw on the chair (I do not even want to know what it was! ) and a cushion on the bed had a gross stain on it too. — bottle of water in the room was open and, obviously then, couldn't be drank. — long hairs on the bahroom shelf — the floor towel, I believe, wasn't fresh — shower filled up with water and had lots of someone else's hair floating in it — black mould on the tiling — check out is 11am: it felt like we were being hassled out of our room. Door knocked repeatedly and opened around 9.30 and again at 10.30am. Overall: I would not recommend this hotel. I regularly stay in hostels/ b&bs / budget hotels which are cleaner and friendlier. The lady on reception the next morning was pleasant enough and said she would let the manager know but I don't believe they will make any actual changes.

This hotel doesn't deserve a single star. The balcony door is broken and exposed to the busy street. The hotel people refuse to fix it and they force me to pay for last minute cancellation.

Pros: Location was perfect. We were literally around the corner from the cathedral and it's Christmas market, and minutes away from another one. We were on the top floor (room 42), which had a large balcony with good views. Good heating. Good for our one night stay. Decent breakfast that included cereal, bread and cheese, cold meats like ham and salami, yogurt, Orange juice, hot coffee and tea, and hard boiled eggs. Cons: we had a double, and my side happened to be very squeaky. The bathroom after a few uses started to smell like urine (poor ventilation or not cleaned too well). Overall: good, comfortable and surprisingly quiet place to stay for 1 night, considering its location from both cathedral and train station. Bring slippers or flip-flops.

1-Internet is super slow! 2-Worst windows in terms of noise reduction and sun blockage! 3 — bad mattress But also some +positive things: 1 — great staff (the lady at the reception was so helpful) 2-the location is 5 star… only 5 min walking to the dome and subway, 10 min walking to the train station 3 — spacious clean room I gave it 3 star because of mainly not getting a good night sleep. If they could only soundproof or at least put thicker curtains for the light!

Clean and nice. The same including a Snack bar, very close to the Cathedral — short walking distances to the sights and the main train station.

POSITIVE Friendly staff. NEGATIVE In the bed, there were at least 3 of the hair and the decor is very worn and dated. In the bath there is lime, Rotschimmel and dust. Furthermore, the sink and the toilet is damaged and the exhaust did not. The guest at a Frühstückpreis of 9€ p. P. Discounterbrötchen and Discounterwurst to offer, I find unverschämd. Unfortunately, at Checkout not asked for my opinion, so I have to now post Online.
