Our initial difficulties (booked room not available) have been handled and completed very professionally and courteously. We felt very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and classically modern, the beds excellent. Breakfast offered everything we expected from a buffet.
We are happy to come back!

Very nice hotel the Residence am Dom — Cologne, friendly reception at the reception very good breakfast buffet wide selection of sausages, egg dishes rolls, yoghurt fresh fruit. The restaurant very nice, nice and friendly service coffee you get a jug on the table with coffee service super :-) This hotel I can recommend any. Beautiful rooms very clean nice bathroom and the room good modern. The city is very easy to walk to the Cologne Cathedral and the main train station is very centrally within walking distance. I will visit this hotel again.

Brilliant hotel, staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel location is amazing, loads of pubs/bars, restaurants, cafes and Colognes brilliant architecture.

Lovely sized room and bed. Breakfast was very good as well. Stayed in December and as soon as you walked out of the hotel, you was at a Christmas market. This worried me at first because of how noisy it could get, but we heard nothing. Would stay again.

I would totally recommend this hotel! The location is perfect and the rooms were really clean. The room was a bit small, but the location made it really convenient. It's close to the Cologne Cathedral and the Rhine river. Also a walking distance from the Koln Hbf.

Super clean rooms. Fully air-conditioned and soundproof. Although quite expensive compared but justified for comfort.
Another note: The rooms are only accessible by elevator. Perhaps somewhat unfavorable for people with appropriate phobia.

Just the right hotel to spend a weekend in Cologne. Both the room and breakfast left nothing to be desired. The operation as well as the service were top notch. We are happy to come back and highly recommend this hotel to our friends and acquaintances.

We liked: Recently renovated. Our dog has received a bowl for water. We disliked: One of the rooms was too small. In the invoice there was a price for 2 dogs, instead of one… And the receptionist was sure that there is not mistake is in their calculation.

Nice location from the Dome and the station. The room was spacious and have nice view of the Dome from our room. If there were some more amenity (tea bags, coffee and electric kettle), this hotel would be one of the perfect choice of the city!

Breakfast with great choice and good coffee. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Unfortunately up to now in all rooms 28 °c (April) and defective or too weak air conditioning. In addition, TVs at 90 ° angle to the bed and thus virtually useless.

This hotel is fantastic for its price! Comfortable beds with great showers. Nice and clean, and really friendly, helpful staff — I was offered a free travel adapter as mine had broke when I arrived, and the receptionist was more than happy to offer advice on local bars and restaurants. I give 4 star as the breakfast is a basic buffet and probably not worth the 11 euro charge when not included in the room price. Other than that, id highly recommend a stay as the location is excellent — 5 minutes from the main train station and in a lovely city square!

We only had breakfast, very nice staff, especially the Italian girl Lisa, she has cared for us since we arrived. Good and fresh breakfast, nice location.

In a nutshell: City Class Hotel Residence am Dom (COLOGNE/KOLN) is simply an excellent choice. Both in terms of geographical location (10 minutes on foot, hardly, from the station), in the heart of the city, on a place (the Alter Markt) where you will enjoy to go for a drink and eat at the Pub "PAPA Joe's BIERSALON" (typical with sometimes a group that Will accompany you to music-jazz or whatever. ). You will have the most memorable historical sites as well as the shops nearby. On foot, without the use of transportation. The best way to soak up a place is to discover it on foot. And if this location is simply excellent, the hotel is also to recommend without hesitation. The room was very clean. The service is efficient and very courteous. Breakfast is a real treat: salty or sweet… it is really complete with a varied choice. Just happiness. Do not hesitate!

From 8. — 10.3.18 We gave our parents a short weekend on the occasion of their 80 birthday, to visit the grandson with girlfriend in Cologne at the same time.
We booked 3 double rooms at the City class hotel residence, which were small, comfortable, clean and functional.
We would like to thank our staff.
Be it at the reception, in the restaurant or the entire service area — we have always been treated friendly and courteous. This is how we introduce ourselves to hospitality.

Our hotel was in a good location and was easy to walk from the train station — all the sights are easy to reach. The room was clean and spacious. Air conditioning was fantastic. The cons were low: no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the shower door was oddly equipped, which means that we soaked the bathroom floor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, helped us with everything we needed (including printing boarding passes for our return flight). They were also incredibly efficient. Would definitely stay again in a City class hotel if this is the service — we will search for one where we'll travel next.

To be a 4 * hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The hairdryers in the rooms do not work and if you ask for one at reception they tell you they do not have. The room smelled a lot of moisture. The dry receptionist and the edges. The breakfast buffet is quite varied but there are no common areas throughout the hotel, only the bar and the reception. They also charged us a surcharge of €12 when doing the checkout that was not specified anywhere. In any other country it would be a 3 * hotel.

The location is excellent and the hotel is very comfortable.
Only small details that have already been reported to the hotel and are certainly improved prevent the 5th star.

I think this hotel is very good. It is very central and you can reach everything quickly and easily. Ideal for a city trip. Excellent rooms and super breakfast buffet selection.

Excellent! Highly recommended for the price, location and service. We were there for the Christmas markets and the hotel is situated just in front of the old town Christmas market, walking distance to the famous Cathedral and the main train station. Staff are excellent.

We have nothing but good words. We have spent a few days to visit the Christmas markets and we could not have chosen lesser hotel. At the door we had a Christmas market. The hotel is in the heart of the city and on foot. We booked through booking a double room with a large bed and which was our surprise that we were assigned the Dom Suite. All very clean, great bathroom, spectacular views… an amazing stay. We can not comment on the breakfast as we had lunch outside but if we saw it and it looked very full. The staff were very helpful and polite. Delighted with the hotel.

In Cologne for 3 nights. Christmas markets visit. The hotel for location to Christmas markets 10\10 5 minutes walk from Train station Check in 10\10 Room really nice 213 was at side. Bed and pillows 10\10 really comfortable. Bathroom only a shower but good shower. Would have preferred usual complimentary bathroom soaps etc etc 9\10 Mini bar consisted of complimentary bottle sparkling water each. There was a location ideal for tea & coffee but it's not available. This was a negative point. Room service and cleanliness 10\10 We didn't use the restaurant other than for 1 drink. So not able to comment. Staff all helpful. Checkout was bit slow. Checkout time is 11am and we left it to after 10.20 big wait everyone at same time, and only 1 receptionist. Definitely a nice hotel, good location especially for Christmas markets.

Great location for visitors to Cologne's Old town. Currently directly at the entrance to the Christmas market. My room was "compact" but equipped with everything. Only the desk was really very small. The room was always clean and tidy. Breakfast is as expected.
The staff was always friendly and competent.
Due to its location, the hotel does not have its own parking lot, but offers a concession for a car park nearby. (3 minutes walk) The car park is not available because of the current job sites, it is not possible to charge the hotel…

Central is not. Nicely furnished entrance and waiting area. Room small but nice. Ideal for a short break if you only need a room to sleep in. Great choice at breakfast buffet. Sleep only with closed window possible, high noise with window to the market, window to the yard noisy ventilation system.

Though the hotel is in the center, I am not satisfied with my stay experience. First of all during my check out on 10.11.2017, I requested to check out at 12.00, but the lady in the receptionist told me that I have to check out at 11.00. And said that it is a rule for the hotel. I travel a lot and first time I saw a hotel that wants his clients to check out at 11.00 and do not even accept 12:00. I believe if she had told me that in a more kindly way, rather than a empty look to customers. I wouldn't complain about it. We paid 185 Euro approximately for a double room which is almost the same rate of 5 star hotels and I think we deserve 2 pairs of towels. Every day, I called them to have a towel. And finally rooms are not clean at all. Evrn you can find pets fur on sofas. This will be my last visit to this hotel and I will never stay there and recommend it to no one.

In general everything is good, to improve 2 points: that the cafeteria is only exclusive for the hotel customers price of the room very expensive.

The hotel was clean, attractive, and the location was excellent. Our room was quite big and had a nice view of the streets below. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had tons of options. Service at breakfast could have been a bit better (waited quite a while to be acknowledged) but otherwise we will definitely go back. We also appreciated the two bottles of free water in the room!

Very nice hotel. Been here due to a concert, room was top, the bathroom has always been very clean, bed also extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a hotel that is worth its price, especially if you book early.

I would not recommend it to be a 4 star hotel!
The best Q has the hotel is the location. The room was very small and the room was very good and I was told that all the standard rooms were the same, and Q only had two superiors but Q were busy. An elevator for 112 hab and for all the service staff of the hotel, just arrived we had Q wait the elevator 10 min to be able to climb to the mini room. Good breakfast but then dinner in the hotel restaurant very regular, the letter posted on the menu well, but at the time of service we were limited only to pizza or salad.
I was very unhappy Porq paid €800 for two nights and the relation quality — fatal price.

Staff and welcoming room, but no choice varied at the level of the French television channels (only TV5 Europe and France 24 are available in French) …

I am so happy we booked this hotel — not knowing anything about the location or the chain, but it was an absolute delight to walk into the hotel and be greeted by a smile! The bedroom was wonderful! It is bright, fresh and a really huge room which reflects great value for money. Our room looked into a quiet street and the dining room opened onto the square, right in the heart of the old town! Breakfast was everything you could ask for — typical German buffet including cold meat, salmon, fruit and vegetable, yoghurt — the works! I am gluten intolerant and had included the information on the booking form and every morning there was a basket of rolls fresh from the oven. The service is absolutely first class — nothing is too much trouble and all the staff in the hotel, from the waiters in the dining room up to the chambermaids upstairs are the best — friendly, happy to answer our questions, and courteous. We will be back to visit Cologne again and will definitely book the same hotel. Thank you for making our holiday such a special one.

We stayed a night in Cologne. The hotel location is very convenient. We drove and used the parking garage they have an agreement with. It's a bit of a walk, but not all that bad by European standards. The cost of parking was about 18 euros for 16 hours. The room we rented was small, but very nice. The day was warm and the air conditioning could not keep up. I think this is common for Europe. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall our stay was very good, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel was a fantastic choice. Collectively as a group of 16 we would be happy to stay here again. The location was excellent with a choice of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We didn't sample the breakfast as chose to ate out instead. There were no irons or ironing boards in the rooms, we did get one from reception but the board didn't stay up. In some rooms the air con worked and in others it didn't. The one thing really missing was tea and coffee facilities which you would hope to have included at such a price.

Great central location. Quiet room (but mine looked in an inner courtyard, not on the square). Very close to railway station, cathedral, river, museums and Romanesque churches everything is within walking distance in a few minutes. Very clean, efficient and friendly staff. Wide choice of locals in the area for lunch/dinner in addition to their which however I did not try. Price in the local average. Missing a TV channel in Italian, at least for the news…

I stayed for a conference at the hotel for 5 nights and the visit was very pleasant. There were complementary gummy bears on the bed each day and also sparkling water was complementary, which was very nice because of the hot weather. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was great and also the coffee! The only thing that wasn't excellent was the air conditioning, which did different things each day. From blasting on 18C without possibility to modify to not working in the middle of the night, but as I heard, there are not a lot of hotels with AC in the area, so I was lucky enough anyway. All in all, a great stay.

The hotel is located in a quaint little square with bars and restaurants, a short walk from the central station, the tram and the main attractions of Cologne. The hotel is clean but the room was a little too small and also at night you had to get up to open the window since at a certain time they disconnect the air conditioning and the room gets hot.

Hotel whose rooms had to be redone recently. Large quiet room Despite the location on the pedestrian street and close to the cathedral. Very good value for money. Very good breakfast. By cons The underground parking is a bit far and difficult to roll the suitcases on the pavement of the street.

My family and I stayed overnight in this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed it. It is located right in the centre (in the heart of Alter Markt), in a convenient location to easily walk to all of the city's main attractions. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast is rich and tasty. If we visit Cologne again, we will definitely return to the City Class Hotel Residence am Dom! Super recommended.

If you have a longer journey behind them, one wants nothing more than a rapid and attentive reception. The two employees in the CityClass Europa am DOM did exactly that in a playful way, not only with me, but the other arriving guests ahead of us behind me.
My room was spacious and located quietly on the patio, a church plays wonderful tunes of the evening and morning.
Highlight of my stay was the room service breakfast that I ordered for 9 00 pm. Just in time with the Glockenschlaf of the Church Bell knocked the staff and handed me a richly covered tray, with all amenities, a breakfast that hardly his food for a person.
So, the beginning could not better start into a successful business day in Cologne.

Very central location, 200 metres from the Cathedral. Rooms are clean and well equipped. As new bathroom. Very extensive breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. A star deduction there for the relatively wide out to the parking lot and then still 8 — euro pay.

The hotel is very new and very central. It is only 5 min walk from the train station, and is very close to the 4 main mecatini of Christmas, one of which is right in the square where the City Class Hotel Residence is located. Also the shopping street is just a few minutes away.
The rooms are clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is also excellent (costs only €8) with a wide selection of breads, cold cuts, fresh fruit and hot dishes.

The rooms are OK, with air conditioning and are soundproofed. I have lived in the 5th floor to the street and had a small roof terrace with great views of the Cathedral. Anyway, the situation is uniquely favourable. Very good breakfast and the friendly reception are remarkable.

A Beautiful Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I was by several Acquaintances, colleagues and friends at the CityClass Hotel Residence am Dom made aware of. Was the first time there, and have to honestly say, the hotel staff was very friendly, the double room in the two nights I've spent was very clean and spacious and quite adequate to spend the night there, the bathroom is also clean. In the great whole we were very satisfied and are already looking forward to the next visit at the CityClass Hotel Residence am Dom.

I have been very happy with the service from the staff both on reception as the attention in the room. I would recommend the hotel to those who want to go to Cologne, the location is unbeatable and the attention perfect. If I go back to Cologne and have free rooms to go to the same.
