Nice, one of the 3 City gates. Go to left to see lifesaving boat and story of coat of Amor.

Beautiful old Torburg, small, some noisy place with nice Cafes, Ice cream Parlours and small Restaurants, in Summer you can sit well outside until the early Evening. But you must not be bothered by the "Surroundings" (underground Station Ebertplatz — avoid at night alone! ). And a nearby Parking lot is very hard to come by. Nearby, Weidengasse Is highly recommended for Lovers of Turkish Cuisine and Sweets!

Top location to celebrate, including two side rooms for dining or buffet.

Really great but close to the Ebertpltz very many junkies.

It's an old gate. Has got some good history to it but yeah, it's an old gate.

Wonderful location where you can celebrate… Only drawback: many steps without elevator.

The Torburg is part of our old city wall. I fondly remember that as a child I often walked past there with my mum. Then I always had to look at the boat hanging there. It is a small cutter of the small cruiser Cöln. It was the first German warship to wear «in its name» Cologne. On 28 August 1914, a devastating naval battle with enemy naval units took place off Helgoland: Five British battlecruisers were highly superior – in terms of armament and speed – two small German cruisers. After the battle, this little cutter was found and handed over to the city of Cologne, since then it has been hanging there. Even today, a wreath is laid every year.

A d the three doors that must be visited. This is close to the Cathedral. You can walk to.

Nice looking. Good lunch restaurants nearby.

Interesting place. Used as a jazz school and hold themed parties.

Love these old city gates, but it seems that there is much more to this place than meets the eye.

This tower is beautiful and the area very lively. This is the jazz school of Cologne inside, the rooms are well equipped.

We started our free walking tour from here. Easy enough to find and has a decent bit of history attached. Nothing much to see unless you hear the stories.

The room is not much to say; It was large, clean and comfortable. The situation is always in order and the reception.
Recommended.
