Very good breakfast and spacious bedroom.

Just a few minutes from the main train station. Nice and friendly service. The room as well as the whole hotel was clean and really great I think the pets are allowed. So we were able to take our dog on holiday.

Perfect place to sleep for a night. Nice and central.

However, unfortunately it was really unpleasantly noisy, through the adjacent station. The windows do not seem to be well insulated.

The first bedroom I got the beds and corners of the bedroom would stink of urine. And the second night was another room that was better but there were still many hairs all over the room. The showers do not have lukewarm water only comes out hot or very cold deamasiada water, it is never possible to obtain a pleasant temperature.
In the surrounding it makes a lot of noise by being in around construction that doesn't let you sleep well. The church-to-side bell sounds very strong for too long that doesn't let you rest.

But the rest is well organized in the hotel.

Value for money. Neat and clean room and bathroom. We took the 6 bed room for my family and enjoyed Koln from this base right next to the train staition. Lots of eateries around. Easy to get everywhere. And most economical. Keep up the good work A&O.

We were with 6 women there for an Overnight stay. The family had rooms in the 3. Floor. It was quite an effort, up there, also with small Luggage. Of the 6 beds were only 2, the other, bunk-beds, we should refer to ourselves : — (! After we have protested, were the girls from the reception are so nice and have taken care of that, with our help. The room was OK, at night is very loud, you said, you were asleep at the station. But for a one Night stay o. K. Which was also clean. Friend publishing staff, Breakfast was OK, the bun might have been a bit nicer and the juice machine could be repaired.

It was very cozy except for the showers. You could barely adjust the water, either it was totally hot or cold. The curtains could be a little bit bigger, because you barely reach a dark room.

It was a really good stay, the people were really nice, the rooms were clean and there were enough power outlets in there. Also the location is really good, 5 minute walk from the central train station. And the best: it was pretty cheap.

The hostel was OK but some mitts were very rude. The breakfast was delicious but the dinner was not good. That's why I only get three stars from the hostel.

Beds were not clean, towels are old, yellowed, fresh-smelling. Rooms on the ground floor were noisy. Both the trains as well as the guests in the room above us, we have heard, according to restful the sleep was. Sink in bathroom was clogged. Breakfast ok. Staff ok.

All in all, unfortunately not recommended. Curtains in the room too narrow so you couldn't pull. The hotel is right next to the entrance to the main train station and a busy road. Accordingly, it is also noisy all night. Luckily I had ear plugs…
The bath is supplied with warm water by a continuous heater. Once you have found the right setting, you can also take a hot shower without scalding or freezing.

Faitly good for the price. Rooms look more like a hotel than a hostel. Breakfast was better than expected, offers some variety.

Wasn't bad, but the mattresses were very hard and the toilet flush has fallen out of the wall. You could spend a short time there, but from a week it gets uncomfortable. But I can't complain about the price.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, you are in good hands here. I was here with my son, we were satisfied. The train tracks in the immediate vicinity did not disturb us, rather those who are in the morning 5 o'clock noisy and without any consideration by the building. But A&O can do nothing. Perhaps it would be advisable to install an extra door in the room so that the noise level is slightly dampened. Breakfast is sufficient, unfortunately the buns on Saturday were pretty Sundays no more. I cannot understand the negative ratings, for the price the performance was completely reasonable. We are sure that our next city trip will take us back to a A&O!

Predatory charge for having a bedsheet. You need to pay 4 euros to have bedsheets. What the hell is that?! I didn't see information of this kind anywhere. Anyway — misleading pricing aside the rooms were clean and the staff were reasonably friendly. Really great location and smooth checkin/checkout. Vending machines and breakfast is available on site and it's a 5 minute walk from the center and train station to get anywhere you like.

Room was adapted. Apparently newly refurbished. Bathroom could be cleaned better. Toilet seat loose. Drain in the sink gave an insight into the siphon. Breakfast buffet was enough. There was everything you needed. No more.
As a plus I see the proximity to the city centre and the quiet room despite street and central station.

A great not-expensive hotel, a short walk to the main attraction of the city and the central station. Clean rooms. You can see that the hotel is not new, but well-groomed.

Unfriendly staff; Rooms very cold specially in the night time. The radiator (heater) did not work in my room I told the man in the reception but he said that I can mot do any thing now and will get it fixed the next day. But it was not fixed the next day and even later. I asked them to give me an electric warmer at least but they simply said we fo not have any.

My experience on the service, staff, cleanliness and the location was Excellent. Only issue with me was no lift facility. We had to carry our baggage to third floor through stairs. If you could arrange this facility would be excellent.

Bathroom have a problem with hot water. Room is clean, breakfast is good.

Hotel has come in the years but okay for the price. The cleanliness could be better. In summary but for the price/performance ratio and a short break completely sufficient.

The rooms were simple, but okay and also clean.
On the 1st and 2nd floor there were new windows, so that the street and train noise could not be heard or hardly heard when the window was closed. On the 3rd floor there were unfortunately no new windows, so you had to "enjoy" the noise. The showers were a gamble, sometimes warm, sometimes cold, sometimes hot, if you got water at all.
The breakfast was simple, but okay, fresh buns would have been nicer than baking buns, some of which were very hard.
What is not possible is the underground car park, which is so narrow that my car is now richer by some nice white ralley stripes. The reaction of the receptionist was not at all, because he thought that I was not the first and probably not the last to smash their car, you already need someone to instruct you in the parking lots. Unfortunately, he told me this only afterwards and not before, let alone that he had offered his help with the instructing.
Basically, the A&O is okay, but you should do without the parking space in the "tiefgarage" if you like your car.

For every person who likes to go on a trade fair or something. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms even if they are slightly outdated, the beds are stable and also pleasant.
All in all a pleasant and quiet hostel for everyone for a short trip at a fairly low price!

Friendliest staff and comfortable and welcoming rooms at great prices.

We booked a room for 4 people and the room is big and comfortable. Walking distance to the Koln main station. Easy to get food as well. The downside is just no microwave or shared kitchen that can be used as well as no laundry. You need to use laundry services outside, that reachable by using train or walking for 7-13min.

Very clean * top location although close to main station * friendly.

A hotel standard room for the price of a hostel. Only downside was the noise of the trains passing if you kept the windows open at night.

Came for one night with my girlfriend. At the front desk there was a very unhappy employee that turns out to be the front desk manager. She was talking to us in a very very rood way, her excuse was that we ask to many questions. Then when I said I will complain she said she will love that because shes trying to get fired for a long time. Will never come back and I don't recommend.

It's a nice chic hotel with spacious room. Clean and the bed is comfortable. The surrounding is pretty, and the walk from Hbf is enjoyable. The wall is too thin, though, as I can hear every footstep in the hall and whatever people in the next room do.

Really good location, service and comfort atmosphere. But I was badly surprise, that they refuse to take a credit card (only with additional tax 2 euro) ond asked 2.5 euro for bed linen and 1.5 euro per towel. In the same Hostel A&O in dusseldorf they gave my whole set per 2.5

I have unfortunately never seen such dirty room. There, it sickens at bedtime. Only 8 dark hair were in the newly-covered bed. The volume increases dramatically in the House after 10: 00 and "Located" is suitable only for night owls. The price-performance ratio is a disaster!

€23 per night is really cheap for Cologne.
Hostel was clean, Internet worked very well and the people at the front desk were helpful.

Cleaning woman must be blind! Hair in the bathroom! When guests arrive at night in the hostel, you can hear every word. €104 / night (during the fair), you can find really better because I don't prefer (noisy) location. : (

Hotel is Ok, the price performance is mainly because of the location. For people in the Party want to do, or for 1 to 2 days stay is enough the Hotel. For Romantic couples holiday, you should what else to Look for.

Stayed here due to late booking and mainly for the comparatively cheap price. Rooms are poor to fair and a bit noisy due to the location near the railroad track. Then again, the proximity to the Cologne city center / dom is also the main plus of this hotel. Wifi is free with good reception.
