Excellent hotel with an exceptional staff!

Super Hotel! Was so far everything great, but in the rooms has liked the air conditioning. In these temperatures, the nights were a torment.

No ac. Weird layout. Small room. Small bathroom. Only good thing about it was the location. Good if you are staying quickly.

Good location at Altona station. Parking limited. Breakfast a disaster. Room very warm no air conditioning. Very loud when the window is open.

But had rooms facing the station okay. Bath was very small and the shower had a curtain. Room was clean and staff very nice. Through the train station directly opposite, you could go there very quickly everywhere.

Hotel is great on public Transport And also pretty good for Walking to Attractions. Staff very friendly at Reception. Rooms: Good, neat, sufficiently furnished.

Very nice hotel not too far from the centre of town. I was concerned about the noise from the railway station beside the hotel, but I was not disturbed through the night. The hotel staff spoke English so communication was not difficult.

Price-performance has been very well fitted. Friendly and dedicated staff. Excellent location thanks to the S-Bahn connection to the city centre.

Nice hotel, everything clean, the staff is attentive and friendly. From here it is 250 meters to Altona station and the whole city is easily accessible from here. The only "negative point" is the somewhat narrow driveway to the parking lot to mention, it probably comes from the time when mainly in the VW Beetle was arrived. :-). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Perfectly located next to the Altona train station, you can easily reach all important points from here.
The rooms are very well equipped and clean, the windows are almost soundproof, the proximity to the train station has not bothered at night (US).
Bathroom and shower very clean and above all it works the shower head mount. This is not a matter of course for a long time, seems to me.
Highlight is the excellent and extensive breakfast and the very courteous and especially friendly service of the staff there.
Price-performance was above average good, therefore five stars for this hotel deserves!

Zimmer war klein, aber fein. Alles sauber und ordentlich. Frühstück war auch lecker. Auswahl war ordentlich. Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lage: Direkt am Bahnhof Altona gelegen und damit an das S-Bahn/U-Bahn und Fernverkehrsnetz angebunden. Desweiteren besitzt das Hotel eine kleine Lounge in dem eine Selbstbedienungsbar vorhanden ist mit diversen Getränken. Bezahlt wird dann am Ende an der Rezeption. Hinweis: Bei Zimmern auf den Hof ist ggf. Zu beachten das gegenüber ein Rewe Center steht was morgens einen gewissen Lärmpegel bedeutet. Bei einem leichtem Schlaf deswegen mit dem Personal abklären ob es auf der Straßenseite die dem Bahnhof zugewandt ist ruhiger ist.

Again and again our preferred choice, because… everything here has been voted what you want from a good sightseeing hotel.
We, as a fan of this hotel chain, were not (properly) disappointed this time, but had expected a lot more about the breakfast and its organization. The "BW Raphael Hotel Altona" was only indirectly responsible for the lack of guest orientation during breakfast. But later on.
The hotel itself, after our last visit about 3 years ago, has again increased the usual and proven bw standard in terms of comfort. So there is the former very small breakfast room no more and from this room became an appealing guest lounge, which invites to relax and cozy meetings by the fireplace. There is also a 24-hour free Internet terminal available.
But the special highlight is that it gives the mother of all "energy drinks" (I mean of course the coffee), around the clock, here for free. And for tea drinkers there are of course also various teas. There is also a small "bar of trust" with various drinks. We liked it very much.
We had our car parked in the backyard as usual.
All in all, excellent accommodation with pleasant comfort and a very personal service that has not only expertly advised us, but also our wishes — as far as it was possible — had taken into account.

Proven BW standard in super sightseeing location if you are planning a sightseeing tour in Hamburg or would like to go to one of the musical, the Best Western Raphael Hotel Altona is the perfect place to stay. From the hotel it is only a few minutes to the ice-station Altona, with all important s-and subway trains. From there, after a few minutes, all important sights and musical can be reached. A perfect starting point for a city break. Fish Market, Reeperbahn and the port are even within easy walking distance and in the area there are great pubs and bars.
Despite the very central location, the hotel is very quiet in a side street when the windows are closed. The rooms we had were what was important to us, to the courtyard side. They were pleasantly large and had everything you could need. There's nothing to complain about.
Breakfast was not bad, but not cheap either. What we complained about is that the scrambled eggs, the bacon and the sausages were not exactly warm. Here you could serve smaller quantities and they can be served fresh on the basis of the guests. Also was the room (there was also an adjuster room) very small and cramped. Overpriced we also found the parking fees on the hotel's own car park and far too narrow parking.

The staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Slightly grumpy. The station next door listens to you somehow in the morning. Breakfast is very good. Just the way there over the courtyard… well. Better. Otherwise very clean and good maintained.

Very good hotel, strategic position close to Altona train station. Clean rooms. Unfortunately the view is on the railway.

People here are very nice and helpful and the rooms were clean. The rooms are split into two sides which makes no sense and they are very small. The beds are too soft and not very comfortable and also not suitable for couples or families. It is also not convenient to use the elevator because of its size and the rooms in the 4th floor cannot be reached by it — therefore it 8s necessary to walk up from the 3rd floor.

Good location for a resonable price. Rooms size good, Wifi good, bed good, shower good, desk good, location good, noise OK, curtains (making it dark) OK, breakfast (small and large) OK, friendly staff. All rooms are different, so not much to say on. Own parking at the back, small places. No elevator on 4th floor.

It's little bit old hotel, expensive but the team is kind and location is good.

Last year, I was already in this hotel. I was very satisfied, probably I have taken at the time 3 stars.
Today I had to think about already, if I forgive you now put 1 or 2 stars. What was it.
The reception area is currently being rebuilt. Not very pretty looks, no reason for a general depreciation would be but. The checkin was standard.
There was only room direction Altona station. I was so afraid of a restless night.
When I entered the room struck me against strange nose. Properly classify I could not. But he was not pleasant.
The room itself is a narrow tube at the end it goes to the bathroom.

On the photo it looks wider than it is. If you take the narrow bed but as a guide, you can perhaps imagine it.
A kettle, a minibar and a TV which can barely be seen, were the highlights of the room. I would call the cushions as a catastrophe, the mattress and duvet were ok.
Something yucky, I found the cut finger nail on the ground. That was then but significant point deduction.
At night, it was then unexpectedly quiet. In the morning against 6 but could then quite well understand the loudspeaker announcements at the station.
At this point, I was then arrived at a star.
The bathroom made me due to the size and cleanliness a little reconciled.

Nichts Herausragendes, aber vollkommen ausreichend für Übernachtungen (nicht gänzlich sauber, z. B. Haare oder ein paar Flecken, aber überwiegend). Freundliches Personal und sehr gute Erreichbarkeit und verhältnismäßig großzügige Räumlichkeiten.

I had in the context of a city break 6 Nights booked and the Hotel, which is a few steps from the train station Altona away, only recommend. A very good friendly Service and very clean and comfortable rooms leave nothing to be desired. The rich buffet Breakfast offers everything for a good Start to the day.

The Hotel is very well accessible. The Bahn and U-or S-Bahn are only 1-2 minutes walk away. The rooms are not very big, but cozy. The Breakfast room has a cosy small rooms. The Service is very friendly and always helpful!

We were part of a visit by "The Lion King" in Hamburg and spent a night at the best Western's liked us very well there. The facade from the outside are deceiving.
Friendly staff, clean spacious double room, large breakfast buffet, and despite station next door very quietly in the room.
The only thing we complain about the €12 are parking fee/day.
M. M should be for guests parking is free or cheaper, but we would stay there again.

The hotel is close to the S 1 and is within walking distance from there. We were welcomed at the reception very friendly and competent. The front desk is friendly and bright, the room was modern and very clean. Due to a birthday, a pleasing attention of the House in the room was surprisingly provided. We were very pleased. Each question, for example. For restaurants nearby or directions to points of interest were competently explained and given to a city plan. The breakfast was varied, for each something. The service is super friendly and the rooms are modern, clean and not crowded. I thank the hotel and their team, they did a perfect my birthday present "Hamburg". Thank you, keep it.

I have stayed in a comfort room.
Rooms were good and clean. Bed is comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean.
The central location is advantageous.
Breakfast was very tasty.

Small Best Western Hotel almost directly at the train station Altona. Benefits are the friendly service, location to the train station and centrally located in Altona, Best Western known good breakfast, clean and tidy, a few parking lots are available in the courtyard.
A disadvantage is that you get with (but very little) to the railway station side the noise from train station, the courtyard parking is somewhat tight, and the room not great.
The hotel should be selected on the basis of the good location, very good breakfast and the parking.

Proven BW standard in super sightseeing location
Who has a sightseeing tour in Hamburg or in one wants the musical is in the
"BEST WESTERN Raphael Hotel Altona" in good hands. From the hotel it is only a few minutes to the ICE station Altona, with all important S — and subways. From there, all major attractions and musical are accessible within a few minutes. A perfect base for a city break. The port, fish market and Reeperbahn are even within walking distance and are great restaurants and pubs in the area.
Very central location, the hotel is very quietly located in a side street, if you have closed the window. The rooms we had were towards the courtyard room no. 109 and 405 and what was important to us. They were good size and had everything you need. There's nothing to complain about. The breakfast was not bad, but also not cheap. What we have objected, that the scrambled eggs, bacon and the sausage was not exactly warm. Here you could serve fresh smaller quantities and those based on the number of guests. Also, the room was very small and tight (there's even an adjoining room). Who wants to save the money of breakfast, can at the train station or In the surrounding area very much cheaper breakfast. Overpriced, we found the park fees €12 for 1 night on the hotel owned parking place and much too narrow. But the parking garages for example on the Reeperbahn are still expensive.

Nice small hotel at the Altona station. To reach the railway station in 3 minutes to River, and from there you can take excursions in the whole city.
The hotel has nice rooms, optionally even smoking room, but unfortunately something further back can be found in the hotel. The breakfast is relatively expensive but still sufficient. Only the noise from the trains of station detracts from the rest in the evening a little.
The staff is friendly and not pushy. Beech here to visit regularly if there are free rooms in Hamburg.
