Great hostel, in great area! A must for everyone who comes to Hamburg ✌🏼

If you wanna feel like home this is the place to be! Very close to the bis stop, opposite the street there is a supermarket and it is surrounded by bars and a lot of interesting places, very close to St. Pauli. The atmosphere is friendly and the ladies at the reception are very kind!

A super interesting hostel, nice friendly staff and the great, it is located in the middle of the Schanzenviertel. Ideally located to get to know Hamburg.

The dorms were clean, locker was provided free of cost and made some nice new friends. Great place for a back packer to stay!

Nice staff but showers were very poor and Wi-Fi was only available in the common area. Floors quite dirty.

A good motel for the price. Some places were a bit run-down, and the rooms were pretty basic, but the atmosphere was good, and it was genereally clean. I would come back.

My friend was a guest at the hostel, He was completly happy with his stay. I stayed in the Lobby a bit. It was very cosy and clean.

Not a bad hostel, but a lot could be improved. Bed have to be done by ourselves, showers (men) could get an improvement, what a weird choice to place transparent panels between them instead of opaque one. Reception opening are really constraining, do not believe what is written in the house rules in the dorms, they're old, reception starts at 9am, and there is a break from 11:30 to 3pm. Also, avoid this place if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, all rooms are either beside the street or above a bar with music up to midnight at least. I wasn't bothered, but not everyone fits. Kitchen is clean, well equipped to cook your own meal, with a Lidl market close to the place. Location is fine, depends on what you are planning to do in Hamburg. It's a really unique atmosphere that may not suit everyone. Price was okay when I stayed.

Instant sleep backpackers has an amazing location, it's almost next to the red Flora. The beds are nice and the shared rooms work out good. There employees are also very friendly and alternative!

Decent place to sleep for a decent price. There's nothing more to it. It's great for visiting with big groups. The place has kitchen facilities so you can prepare your own meals. Location is OK too. From a walking distance to the tram station and really close to the bus station too. There are supermarkets and other shops too nearby.

Not a bad place, good atmosphere and good staff, however is not very clean and could improve.

How many times have I stayed here and never written a review: Now is the time. The many nights with you, the good feeling of being TO HAUSE, will certainly become much more in number. Location, welcome, always tea and coffee, if you prefer to leave Hamburg outside at Schmuddelwedda and stay wrapped in a blanket in the common room … I'm already looking forward to next time. Whether it's raining or snowing.

The staff is very friendly and very comfortable to sleep.

Very bad hostel. On the main road. Impossible to get any sleep once the traffic starts up. No reception after 10 and no way to retrieve your key deposit until 9 when they open the reception. They do not make the beds and charge total rip off prices to people on new years. When I complained about the noise I was subjected to further abuse like they claimed the police were their bully boys and they chucked me out only returning 1 cent of my money. I wanted to be provided with another bed where I could actually get some sleep but there was nobody there other than some people sleeping on a raised area in the common area by the reception presumably to squeeze out even more money from this worthless property on the main road. They claimed that a nights sleep was too much to ask for and that it was my problem that it was noisy despite planning on taking 960 euros over the coming weekend for their dorm room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Earplugs, free. They don't charge you for the sheets. Very good cleanliness of bathrooms and shower area. There is a kitchen, which you can use 24 hours a day. Fridges, where you keep your food. Laundry service, smoking area. The location is excellent, 2 stops from Hauptbhanhof, 1 stop from the centre and 3 stops from the port ⚓. Comfortable room and every bed, it has a plug, to charge your electronic devices, a lamp and a small locker, to store your valuables. Almost opposite, there is a LIDL supermarket, bus stop and the Metro and train, a 9 minute walk. 100% Recommended! ☑️

Friends of a healthy sleep are wrong here, as music is played in the house until well after four o 'clock very loud music. To the outside, the rooms are decently soundproofed, unfortunately they are not at all within the house. The atmosphere is authentic, but it could also be translated as "in urgent need of renovation. " The showers have virtually no water pressure. The Wi-Fi is lame and often falls out.

Great location within the Schanzenviertel. Rooms, bathrooms and all other facilities are very clean and comfortable. Beds good for several hours of sleep. If you are sensitive to noise bring some earplugs or use headphones. Great to have tea and coffee for free in the morning.

Clean, inexpensive, perfect location and still has that old school backpacker vibe. Ear plugs saved my night though.

I likes the character of the joint. I had no problem sleeping there. The rooms were cozy and the location was next to a very delicious although vegan restaurant off thebsternchanze line. I do think the key deposit and system is stupid as if you change leave date you may not get your id/deposit back.

Friendly and affordable backpacker hostel. Great for meeting people from across the world. Very chilled out vibe and definitely worth the cost. Be warned: showers are communal so if you're the kind who isn't OK with that you should reconsider. It is easily accessible from the Hamburg Hbf (2 stops on the S Bahn on the S21 or S31 and a 5 minute walk from there) and the harbour and Reeperbahn are within a 20 minute walking distance.

Location ist great, super easy to walk to st. Pauli and the bar area. Still in a more quite area, so not too loud, you'll still get your sleep… and who can say no to free Coffee? ;)

Great croud and nice location for food and transport. The Wi-Fi is rather hit or miss but so long as you are in the main room it should be fine.

Instant sleep was exactly as it claims. Had a good night sleep as the bed was comfortable. Met some unique people and a friendly vibe was given out from the hostel. Defently worth the money paid. Would stay there again.

Helpful staff, good location, very clean and a great place to stay on a budget.

It's really comfortable and cheap place, with nice people in the reception that are really elastic with hours and check in/out stuff. Unfortunately we were in the wrong weekend maybe so this side of the city was full of dangerous activities (g20)

Very loud motor/kind of like plane noise starting at 1 a. M. In the room. Could only sleep for 30 minutes on the whole night when the noise stopped for that time. I had earplugs for the noise but it was still impossible to sleep. Add the non-stopping cars, motorbikes and trains noises… and the brightness of the room because the curtains are just useless… 7 police cars and ambulance passed with the sirens… definitely the worst night ever. Also: 3 showers for all the girls in the hostel. Nevertheless staff seemed nice and the commun room has a nice ambiance. Also the price is affordable. But definitely not a resting & calm place…

Stayed here for two nights only, but I had a great time! Fantastic location in the city, nice rooms, reasonable prices and lovely staff. Even though the kitchen is quite small and the walls of my room seemed to be thin, that didn't do any harm to a comfortable stay — because I choose backpackers for good reasons. And I really liked the fact, that there are only a couple of rooms, which gives the place a familiar and laid-back athmosphere! Thanks to the instant sleep team, I'll come back some time…

A hostel in the urban-style, which is produced simply unbeatable location — right on the Hill. I was as far as well satisfied with the cleanliness and the staff were super nice.

Cheap hostel close to cheap restaurants and take outs. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Wifi only in the common area.

A very very very rare site. The corrala in which it is located is beautiful but the owner is a strange type. That is cheap and open 24 h.

Was a perfectly fine hostel, not much negative to report. Maybe the blankets were a bit thin.

Great hostel for young people. The staff working there are so nice. Specially Julia! We got to meet some people from different countries, and one night there was a Jam Session organised by the staff! It is amazingly good located, in the very center of Sternschanze. Recommendable!

The owner and the staff are quick to answer any questions you may have. The dorms are very basic, but the price is right.

Everything really great! We were nine and could all be in a room, super nice mail contact in advance and also on site dear, nice and helpful people! The hostel is super cozy and in a top area. Always happy again! :)

We have enjoyed our overnight stay in instant sleep. The great thing was that the hostel right in the Centre is located. So short walk to the shopping and fun have. The hostel itself is very clean and cozy. Top address in Hamburg, Germany!

One of the few best hostels I stayed in. Very friendly stuff. Quiet location.

Really good accommodation,
if you really want to sleep, with a kitchen and fridge etc. Available and these are also in perfect condition. For the money in the middle of the city centre of Hamburg, you will find anything better. And the staff is also Top!
