Best place to eat, very hipster! Sports bars, burger places, Italian… Love it! Cross the road and you'll see a park, great area too! Just chill and have a drink on the park. The drinks are quite a bit more here!

Unlike markets, lots of shops, streets and cafes for all tastes! I advise you to go there.

This market is well worth the visit. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and a reasonable price. Good Central Point for all the tourist spots. The market day is on a Thursday with plenty of stalls. The food stalls offer a wide variety of menus from around the world. You must try one of these.

So much to do and so many places to see! The city is here but it is a lot more quiet than in the other parts of Berlin. Every corner is unique and some have surprises for you. Go into the passages and discover not only Germany but also other ethnicities and cultures. This area means art to me. :)

Outdoor market with a few bars and restaurants. Conveniently located between Alexanderplatz and the Jewish quarter. Nice to hang out and to explore inner courtyards in the surroundings. Lots of fancy shops in the area as well.

Very interesting place. The combination of an underground with refinement. I advise you to look here and wander through the courtyards.

Great place to shop, to have lunch, to have a drink or go on the market. You find everything here and the atmosphere is really nice. In summer you can listen to some live music from street artists and get relaxed a bit. It’s also a great area for shopping clothes and accessories. Designer stores and unique stores are mixed here. The price range in this area is mid to high for Berlin. Go for it and get your own impression.

We are in the Scheunenviertel (Granai quarter) also known as the Jewish Quarter, one of the oldest, most charismatic and vibrant neighbourhoods in Berlin. A good starting point to visit is the S-Bahn station that overlooks the homonymous square, Hackescher Markt, one of the most beautiful (and best restored) stations in the city, in red bricks and ceramics. The area is known for its early twentieth century houses, with interior courtyards (in German Hofe). A great example of this is the new Art Nouveau complex, Hackesche Hofe, one of the rare architectural examples in Berlin.  It is composed of several buildings that house apartments, offices, boutiques, small shops, art galleries, bars, restaurants and a cinema, all gathered around 8 communicating courtyards.
Go in and walk from one courtyard to the next.

The characteristic is precisely this: the area is distinguished from the other courts of the nineteenth century because the shops are not separated from the housing complexes.

Everyone visiting Berlin should visit the Hackerschen farms. Let us surprise you! Immerse yourself and discover new things!

Absolute travel advice! Not only directly at the S train station Hackescher market There are many things to discover, from the restaurant to an artistic trip in the chopping ash yards. Here you can take some time. A small meadow on the river Spree is just as beautiful as the museum island in the immediate vicinity.
The visit and the strolling is worthwhile!

The hacked ash yards are a must in my view when you are in Berlin. A variety of small and trendy shops in visually appealing exteriors can certainly tempt you to spend money.
But they are also eager to overflow.

A must for Berlin visitors. Below the train station ingenious pubs for dinner. The train station looks great both inside and out. The courtyards are super lit in the evening. Necessarily look over there.

Very plesant urban area with lots of restaurants and stores. The architecture is pretty nice.

There is a great market on Thursday next to the train station. Great food like delicious handmade German bread rolls, Turkish delights and international food trucks. Additionally, there are artists selling vintage prints and other interesting handicrafts.

Lovely German market. You can browse the stalls, have a coffee and a chat while people watching. It's easy to get to and from with the train station being there. Or the tram if you are coming from seeing Fernsehturm (TV Tower) We enjoyed our little exploring here.

The best lawyers are also in this Cartier luxurious.
The tram passes through Hackecher Markt and the place has an S-BAHN train station.
The castle Charlottenburg is close by. The Fernsehturm of Alexanderplatz, too.

A cool place to go out and discover. Those who want to get to know Berlin should start here. That's how I did it.

The market on Thursday US Saturday is great! Generally it is a corner of Berlin that you should have seen. The Spee is just around the corner and there are some good restaurants nearby.

Just a small local market but definitely not a "must to see " as they say in the internet. Maybe it's better in the summer but definitely not in winter.

Well-known tourist hotspot. In my opinion something overrated and overpriced. But it is nice to stroll through the different courtyards and have a coffee. The first time you visit Berlin, you should stop by.

A stone's throw away from the famous Alexanderplatz square, this very impressive district with its locales in my opinion is worth to be seen.

If you are in Berlin you cannot miss these wonderful courtyards that intersect each other with a wonderful game of passages and glazed facades. Many small shops of handicrafts or peculiarities overlook the same giving you the way to spend a pleasant day of shopping in one of the most beautiful cities of Europe.

There are many shops and stalls that invite you to linger. The backyards are very worth seeing and interesting from the architecture. As the parking facilities are very limited I would arrive by public transport. Alexanderplatz is only a few minutes ' walk away.

Very nice place. The internal patios are very nice and there is usually not so many people. The cinemas inside have good movies.

It is perfect to have the known brands and discover new designers. In all places they have a guide to local shops. Type Mapita, I recommend to ask not to get lost, there are many streets.

A quaint place in Berlin, very close to the central Alexanderplatz Square, the museum Island and the Unter den Linden (ideal for cultural visits) and the high Schönhauser Straße ideal for shopping in the surrounding streets.

Unlimited shopping opportunities, rather mainstream. The farms are very interesting and tell something about the old Berlin.

We were in the "Weihenstephan". The boss had issued one for her retirement. If you like the hearty German cuisine, you are right here. If you pay attention to figure, it's not. The salad ordered by some was not so good.

I don't like it there. A district of Berlin that was not created for the ground. Which attracts naturally dreaming tourists. Try to avoid it.

Great architecture of the station. Shopping area and you will be able to eat on the go on the square with plenty of world kitchen stand.

Very nice old train station surrounded by bars and restaurants. In the afternoon there are food stalls and around is the district of the Mitte, of nightlife and full of bars that it is worth to travel from the dusk. There is also a shopping area with locals like Uniqlo and Nike.

Something for everybody. Great walking and people watching experience. You can walk to so many areas from here or just spend the entire day browsing through the open market which offers dry goods, prepared foods, varying ethnic foods or you can stop at one of the bar/restaraunts that populate the area.

A great place for evening get-togethers. In general, it is an area with a market of souvenirs and all sorts of small things. Plenty of cafes of different levels and different cuisine for all tastes.

It is a market with its own character. Nice and clean. The typical food very good.

A wonderful place to stroll and look. Here you can find something with a little luck, which is otherwise not available in the shops. The offer for the palate is also great, there is something for every taste and purse.

Berlin has very nice angles… Hackescher Markt is one of them! Small market, beautiful places under the bridges of S-Bahn, alleys and courtyards that you do not expect.

Good place to socialise but it feels like a bit of a tourist trap whets food is concerned. A little overpriced and a little under par. Seek out the busy restaurants in the back streets and you'll be far more impressed. The area itself though is interesting and worth a wander.

It is a very lively area of the city. It is rich in conventional rooms but, hidden in the halls of old buildings you can come across self-managed rooms decorated with murals. Inside there are curious stalls of local handicrafts. In the area there are all means of transport and is also very close to Alexander Platz.

A good place with a pretty crafty market on Saturday (or Friday? ) places of street artists, next to the quay and the Cartier tagged.

One Deiigliori places in town. Convenient to get to, you will find all the local and excellent restaurants in the city. Great Life Day and night. Very nice.

Vivid square in the old town especially in summer. Rich variety of bars and restaurants but very touristy. Try just a beer or a glass of wine in the evening hours while sitting outside and watch the people passing by. If you like to eat something: Ossena is a nice Italian restaurant. Or come on Thursdays. The square hosts a market on that day. The food is famous even among locals who have their lunch here. Also during the winter.

It can not be called a market, it is an open-air space for celebrations and sale of different things.

Not sure why Jeremy Copestake comes up when I am Judy Haywood so something not quite right there especially as the review application was addressed to me. Very happy with the staff and general running of this Hotel which is in thee most terrific location. The staff were helpful and delightful. Problems with Wi-Fi though. Also the rooms very warm and unable to cool off properly — I was alone in a double so had plenty of room but would have struggled for two. Was very satisfied during my stay but this was more to do with the location and the friendly and helpful service and cleanliness than the actual facilities although breakfast was magnificent.

Hotel employees were very helpful, friendly, and always there. Rooms a little small, but very clean. Breakfast was very good. They do have a nice size fan in the room, if it does get hot, but a/c would have been better. The location is the best. REAL CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! I would stay there again, for sure.

The hotel is conveniently located to all major sites, walking around the corner from the Museum Island, 10 minutes from San Nicolas neighborhood and Jewish quarter and the Tv Tower and Alexander Platz, half an hour of door leak and Reichstag and an hour from the East Gallery and Oberbaum bridge.
The hotel very very clean and comfortable, have the courtesy of leaving daily bottles of water and in the hall is can take coffee nesspreso free.
Good temperature and the beds with very good mattress.
Good breakfast surtirdo and tables with linens and dishes perfect.
They charge 5% of the municipal rate when you leave the hotel.
You can print the boarding passes.

Unfortunately, I arrived on the hottest week in Berlin and the hotel didn't have AC. I now understand when I hear people died due to record heat in Europe. Other than that, it's a good great location.

Located directly in front of tram parking place, so the view is not amazing, but the quality of room (standard business) and breakfast was excellent. Easy to use reservation system. Credit card or 50E for the mini bar caution on check-in (even if the stay was already fully paid).

Nice small hotel at Hackescher Markt. The personel was very helpful and gave us access to our room even though we were very early. Rooms are small but well-planned. Very fresh and clean and with a very good bathroom. Well situated close to the S-bahn (which was closed when we were there. ) and in very nice surroundings. Trams outside the window might disturb you if you are sensitive. Did not try the breakfast, there are very nice cafees that serv breakfast in the neighbourhood.
