Reading many of the recommendations on this page, I wonder if we are in the same hotel. Staff, as in all Hiltons I’ve been in, is very friendly and helpful. Can never complain about that, but the place itself reminds me of a budget hotel. I think this is so far our most expensive stay but for sure the most disappointing stay in a Hilton. Probably also the last one as the benefits of the loyalty program do not justify the prices paid for (some of their) hotels.

Stayed here over a month ago and have been ignored by numerous staff members repeatedly ever since as to when we will have our security deposit back! have emailed many different email addresses and even spoke to them directly over social media.
£150 upfront payment on a credit card to ensure that if any damage, it is paid for etc. Still not had this money back. Staff are happy to talk until we ask when we will be getting it and then we are ignored completely.

Air conditioning broken, balcony door broken, breakfast ordered on room, but never arrived. Catastrophic service, after contacting the customer service, I was promised a response from the hotel management within a week. No contact so far.
Have visited many Hiltons around the world, so far one of the worst hotels in this price range ever.

Despite mask and all other inconveniences as always a good service, the staff very nice and competent, Executive Lounge well improvised… I have never experienced Berlin so calmly and quietly… a completely new experience.

Good location, near some good restaurants and easy to sight see. However service is not the best, the Executive lounge is limited (food and drinks) compared to others Hiltons and some of the bedrooms are tired (fraying carpet/ mould in the bathroom, pillows not great). The staff didn’t advise what or where things were in the hotel at check in and you had to ask/ find yourself. We stayed in room 6100 and at night you could hear furniture being dragged over the floor late at night keeping us up, and didn’t Honour the room we selected. The pool, gym, steam room etc. Is clean and tidy but I thought the 15 EUR charge per person to use the steam/ sauna room for a guest staying with yourself a little rude unless you were a diamond member. 15 EUR charge should be for anyone not staying to use the pool/ facilities. Overall average stay for a diamond customer.

Perfect location… beautiful and very comfortable hotel. Breakfast was great and delicious with an excellent service from morning staffs and at the pool. They were very helpful with everything we asked for. Then on our last night, we decided to enjoy ourselves at the bar. We started with waiting for the waitress for about 30 minutes to come and take our order. They definitely have seen us at the table but for some reason no one have intention to give us service. We were luck…y enough to catch one by accident because she came to collect payment from the table next to ours. We ordered 3 beer and 1 coke to start with, she wasn’t really service minded, everyone agreed. We continue to wait for 15minutes but our drinks still not arrived. We ask the other one to check on it, she was very helpful but we still have to wait for the next 15min… seriously such a waiting time for some simple drink… we ended up canceled our order and guess what… everyone got quite disappointed and who knows if our drinks ever will arrive.

Excellent location and great services. Highly recommended when visiting Berlin. They have connected rooms for families, but I suggest calling the hotel prior to your arrival to make sure they provide you with ones. Connected rooms are only of the type "standard room"

Stayed at the Hilton Berlin after a short Viking Cruise. As has been noted in other reviews the Hotel is within walking distance of all the sites and for shopping as well. All the staff that I met were all so friendly and helpful. When I say that I am including all the staff that we do not see without which the hotel would not run so smoothly. There are also lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes of the hotel. The hotel has a great pool. The only downer for me was that in the brown information folder in the room it stated that the pool opens at 6:30 Monday to Friday. On Monday morning I went down for a quick swim only to see a notice outside saying that the pool opened at 7:00 Monday to Sunday. I did mention this to the member of staff when I went down in the afternoon. She apologised and said that she would look into it. As has been mentioned in other reviews the breakfast is fantastic there is so much choice that you do not know what to have. The place might be expensive, but there is told adage you get what you pay for. I will definitely be staying there again if ever I decide to come back to Berlin.

This is a beautiful, luxury hotel that I had the pleasure of staying at. This may just be my favorite Hilton hotel. The location is extremely convenient and even has historical significance, the neighborhood is great, the lobby is absolutely beautiful, the staff is polite and helpful, the rooms are large and clean, the breakfast is delicious and filled with options, and the hotel itself offers a huge selection of spa services and it even has a swimming pool. The hotel restaurant Mark Brandenburg is quite nice and worth visiting if you want to treat yourself to a fancy German dinner. Room service was surprisingly good as well! I would stay here over and over again — the price is just right. Be warned, however, you may not get to experience Berlin for what it truly is if you only stay within the confines of the luxurious hotel and the upscale neighborhood.

I really liked this hotel! It is right down town near everything (Charlie checkpoint, museums, memorial, mall of Berlin). And there are tons of restaurants and shops walking distance as well! The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered room service at 3:45 am (jet lag) and they brought it in a timely manner and it was pretty good for a late night menu! Also the rooms are nice and new with bath robes included! Would come here again :)

Great location for sightseeing, nice bar downstairs, had live singer when we arrived at around 2200 on Sunday night. Beds were comfy, aircon was always blowing cold so we had to turn it off and sleep with an open window. Plenty of coffee shops around the location which was good as we did not pay for breakfast at the hotel. Standard rooms are very small, bathroom was even worse, tiny… also no watter pressure in the shower for which I take one star off.

My boyfriend and I had a room with dome view and we really loved the location! We are definitely coming back. But I must admit there's some minuses: 1. There's not free Wi-Fi unless you become a Hilton member 2. There's very poor personal kits (no sewing kit, only one set of shampoo and conditioner, no cotton pads or swabs 3. The shower keeps turning between way too cold or way too hot water.

Feels very clean and high end. Hotel has great ambiance and clean feel. Food is great, breakfast offered is very comprehensive. Definitely suggest the pretzels. Overall, would suggest it as a great place to stay for exploring Berlin. It is well located for utilizing public transit, or for walking to many tourist locations in the city.

Central location that is great for tourists, all the prime tourist locations are within walking distance. Mall of Berlin basically at the bottom of the road. The facilities were great. Hot water and good pressure in the shower. All u can eat breakfast and the staff were attentive and helpful would happily go back.

The Hilton Berlin is an upscale hotel, I slept very well here and the breakfast did not leave any wishes open. If you wish, you can even have a smoking room in the hotel. The windows can be opened despite existing air conditioning. I felt very comfortable here.

The staff is professional. The banquet service is great. This five-star hotel has a location that is adjacent to a public park: the view from the banquet hall is amazing. One can conveniently, and fast, connect to any part of Berlin City. I would recommend this Hilton any time. The cleanliness and comfort is worth your time, single or a large group.

Pretty good hotel. The location is great if you like everything high end, but if you want to relax and get a quick meal and a pint you will need to use the metro. There is a metro right outside, but I never used it because the line is not convenient, it is quicker to walk to a better metro. The service is good but the breakfast is not as good as some of the other Hilton's I have stayed at.

Clean and spacious rooms. We had taken an Executive room and there was a fault. The Executive Lounge is nothing Executive. The buffet is light (except a wide choice of drinks), the impression that the whole hotel is invited to the lounge, too little room for everyone, noisy, and the eternal tourists fearful of starving to death. No top top for a Hilton.

Hilton Hotel Berlin is a nice hotel central to the many attractions. It is just next an underground train station as well. The reception area looks nice and spacious. You get the service expected of a Hilton. But the the bar staff could have put a better smile.

Loads of small issue made the stay more stressful than you would have expected. Buildings age brings level of comfort down. Refurbishment well needed at this stage. Still very friendly and supportive people working in there.

Best location, first address for a visit to Berlin — centrally located, underground garage and underground station in front of the hotel door — first-Class view of the German cathedral, the Gendarmenmarkt and the French cathedral.

It is good choose if you want stay in Berlin. Location is pretty good in centrum, close to the most important locations. The rooms are comfortable, cozy and clean. The staffs are nice and helpful. Spa & Wellness is great, big gym and clean sauna.

Of course, in a hotel like this, do not expect warm and human welcome, but the place is very beautiful, and there view from the breakfast room is very nice.
The Wi-Fi in the rooms is at €15 which is just outrageous.

I'm here more often and always thrilled. Upgrade almost naturally, the lounge is very pleasant and well stocked. SPA area very clean and well maintained. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and there are really good cocktails at the hotel bar. I travel a lot and always feel in good hands at Hilton Berlin. Super service and a great team. Always happy.

The staff was very rude and spoke English very hard. Otherwise a very nice hotel, clean rooms and a nice breakfast buffet.

A bit disappointed really. Not even close to the service of the Hilton den haag or the Hilton garden. Ordered room service and tried to order a simple burger meal with extra burger Pattie that it states in the menu but apparently does not exist. Customer service was poor and felt that I should not Be there. When I 1st walked in the front entrance was asked if was the correct place was looking for. Only been driving for 8 hours and not what I needed to hear. Will be seeking alternatives in Berlin now but def returning to den haag Hilton's.

The Hilton no longer what it used to be. It's already pretty busy we had booked a suite. Unfortunately the room was not clean and the furniture had various quirks. Paper under the armchair, finger marks on the television, a groin of the shower dropped off and she did not go to. It's been fixed, but it's a sad picture of a five star hotel. There was also no apology on the part of the hotel. There was something positive, however. The staff at the hotel are very accommodating and friendly and this makes up for quite a bit.

The restaurant is exceptionally good. Berlin delicacies are on the menu. The quality is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and well trained. To the point deduction leads, however, that the premises are not particularly beautiful (it is missing something special).

Stayed here for 3 nights for a city break with my wife. Fantastic location in a nice district of Berlin; there are a number of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance, a lovely square outside, and also a U-Bahn station. Most of the main tourist sites are within walking distance too, including shopping malls too. The hotel is very clean, staff are very friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel sits in the middle of Berlin and can be said to be within one kilometre of the Brandenburg Gate, and walkable distance of check point Charlie. The lobby is impressive and you are greeted by a friendly staff. Unfortunately, if you get complimentary Wi-Fi, the staff will ask you to come down to the reception to get a code. This I thought is the singular wrong practise followed by the hotel. As we spent two nights, I had to log in again after the first 24 hours had elapsed. I was told this is some security feature! The bathrooms are of decent size and do not have a discrete shower stall. If you want to shower, climb into the tub that is slippery. There is no rubber shower mat provided. However, you are provided room slippers and bath robes should you wish to use them. If you intend to be in the middle of the action in Berlin, this hotel is awaiting you!

I stayed at the Hilton Berlin for three nights while traveling for business and it was a very nice stay — as expected for Hilton Brand. The rooms are a nice size and had a desk area so I could work from the hotel. Bathrooms are clean with a nice shower and good water pressure and temperature. I didn't eat at the hotel except for breakfast, which was very good. Normally I prefer the free breakfasts, but this breakfast was really good and worth the money. They have an enormous selection of fruit, cereals, cold meats, pastries, as well as hot items like eggs, bacon, sausage and cooked-to-order omelettes. Probably the best thing about the hotel, though, is the location. Located right in front of Gendarmenmarkt, it's right in the middle of the tourist part of Berlin. Checkpoint Charlie is just a block or so from the hotel and the Museum Island is just a fifteen-minute walk. Overall, it was a nice stay — very nice hotel and great location.

Great stay as a diamond member. Upgraded to a king executive room with lounge access up from the standard room. The breakfast spread in the restaurant is one of the best I've seen from any Hilton!

All great except for the Wi-Fi. Really guys, you cannot offer crappy internet to guests that pay over 200€ per night, or have an overpriced 'premium version' This isn't the 70s anymore — even the cheapest hostels offer free fast Wi-Fi. People who travel for work need internet these days — a reason for me not to pick Hilton anymore.

One of Hilton's more leisure oriented hotels. Although very traditionally looking from the outside, it is modern, contemporary and stylish. Rooms like any other Hilton, breakfast has anything you desire, while offering great views of the dome. Unlike other five star Hiltons, this one truly is one.

This hotel has an immediate wow factor. It looks pristine. We were greeted and seen to immediately. The room was spacious and immaculately presented. I would recommend the rooms providing a view of the Cathedral which looks incredible in the snow. Great location for restaurants and on the doorstep are 2 different train lines. Please be warned, I may be biased about this hotel as I ended up getting engaged in it.

Great hotel and facilities nicely located near to a metro station and in walking distance of popular sites. Big disappointment on the cost of the breakfast which is charged at 32 Euros per person! Complete rip off! Instead we went to the nearby Chipps breakfast restaurant which served a choice of freshly cooked breakkie options at half the price of the Hilton. Wifi is also chargeable and we found this to be quite slow around 1.5 megs considering the cost of this per day. House keeping also needs improving.

The quality you have come to expect from Hilton. Fantastic. My only complaint is the exorbitant fee for Wi-Fi, €25 for one device. I certainly can recommend this hotel.

Hilton gekomen is considerably over the years and is lacking in many places. Not enough 3 receptionists at check in between 18 and 19: 00. A lady was continuously concerned with the payment of parking fees. Another 20 minutes with a single guest. And then you half an hour when the only 'free' employees is pending. And staff without employment walked around in the background.
The room is o. K. But also not really 5 star. In the bathroom only a very narrow tub of standing under the shower is difficult. That I must every zap to turn through the complete menu, until you can watch TV, is also getting. But slowly, otherwise expensive free Wi-Fi in public areas. Breakfast so-so average, baked goods.
The Conference area was, however, underground. I had installed flip charts in the seminar room on the eve of already — in the morning, they were disposed of. The welcome Cafe just stopped and when we got to the coffee break, only lukewarm remains in the pitchers were. Until new coffee came, the break was almost over. On day 2, a participant missed his block with the notes from day 1: was also been disposed for it was a new block of the hotel in its place.

This is our hotel of choice when visiting Berlin. Rooms with a nice view, great breakfast buffet and parking garage directly connected to the hotel. The hotel is situated very close to a lot of interesting locations and the subway is directly in front of the hotel as are the taxis. Staff is friendly and helpful and speak English very well. Do try to book a room with a view as the view on the Gendarmenmarkt is really great.

I was here recently just for a conference, but when I saw the hotel, I decided to stay for two more days. The location offered me a wonderful view of the Franzoschiche Dom and it was great for sight-seeing. Restaurants were only a stone's throw away, and the lively Gendarmenmarkt was a couple of minutes walk, so I could easy get out for a drink and sit outside. The lounge in the hotel was also good, in fact one of the best I have been to. The food was excellent, and it impressed me that in the evening kept changing and although the lounge was very busy it never ran out.

A hotel left in the year, in the facilities, nor in the service the default one 5 star hotels offers. Only the location of the Gendarmenmarkt is excellent. Rusty and calcified shower, loose grab handle in the bathtub, are replaced water glass with a big jump for a 5 star hotel an absolute no go. The arrogance of the receptionist does not help to feel the overall positive.
