A nice hotel in the centre of Berlin. Adequate prices. Friendly staff.

Hotel class, old building, probably late 19th century, ceilings of the meter four, the city center, all nearby.

Pros
1. Russian-speaking staff.
2. Good breakfast, but if after 9 o'clock, if at 6.30 (opening), the assortim ent is scant and information (photo) about red fish, etc.
3. Lucky location regarding the bus stop (we were 2 days and went by bus consider that on excursions Hop Off Hop On visited all in the same area as the ticket is a single, the main thing to buy) and the subway (it went only 1 time on the day of arrival).
Cons —
1. Lack of air conditioning — it was hell of a slack, in July the end is very hot, we opened the door to at least a little ventilate in the evening, as a consequence of sleep zero.
2. The lack of a mini refrigerator is elementary not to cool the water, so necessary in this hot time. There's a fridge at the reception, but it's stressful. Mini could be.
With wai fai too trouble, more than 4 x devices do not connect, maybe and can solve this problem but we had no time, rested 3 people, 2 compa and 2 phones connected and a third person was able to enter. And the quality of the Internet is poor. The room changed towels and made a bed, but this and did not want — better code would be. In general, a couple of days can be tolerated if the price is acceptable.

At this budget there were many other options, that might have been much better. Staff was very uninterested and looked like we were bothering them. The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and it took 15-20 until it turned off, everytime someone used it. Also, as somebody mentioned — we recieved only one key, that opens the main door and our private room. Im not sure if that was an universal key to every door on the corridor, but we definitely didnt feel safe there. On the other side breakfast was ok.

Really nice, simple hotel perfectly located near the heart of Berlin. Free breakfast is nice. Rooms are clean and spacious.

The website promised much more than what we experienced. Reception on the 4th floor, the steps ceded, the staff bored. We had to carry our suitcases to the room via a spiral staircase. What we have never experienced before and will never experience it again. For the price, we expected something different. To get to the courtyard car park, guests from the street cafe had to set aside their chairs.

Very good value for money The staff in the room always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and quite spacious with the safe. It is placed over a individual premises open in the afternoon and evening, with the pro and the cons accordingly. Certainly it could show up better, but even the decadent aspect has its own charm. For those who want to spend little, sincerely recommended, even half board.

Hotel, however, makes more of the impression of a youth hostel. Unmotivated and sometimes unfriendly staff. Breakfast very spartan. Many things had a provisional effect, for example. In addition to the warm holding plate, again containers for scrambled eggs, but without matching lids. Far too little space in the breakfast room. You almost always sit at the table with strangers, as with a few exceptions there are only 6 and 8s tables. Parking access very very narrow.
Recommended only to a limited extent for business travellers.

A bit cold staff but absolutely the best deal for service and comfort.

Good hotel for a good price in the centre of the city. Good breakfast and service. Clean and correct. Reception in the fourth floor.

Had money stolen from our room as we ate breakfast. No signs of forced entry, so it was committed by a member of staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

We were scared when we stood in front of the entrance and it got worse, the staircase had many damage and then the reception on the 4th floor. No reasonable service and breakfast a disaster. No trained staff, the buns were taken from the table back into the bread basket and the Nutelaglas was placed open in the morning with the knife together from the cupboard on the table. The rooms were clean but very well come down. The whole thing was not a comfortable retreat. I remembered it more at a hostel than at a hotel. For young people who want to experience the city, this is certainly an alternative. There were also many international young guests checked in, which did not make the whole thing better. ;-) … I think it's just a pity because the pictures of the website were promising and very well received and certainly also long ago.

Seriously, NO! It's comical how bad it is. There are many cheap hotels in Berlin, don't cling on their "good offers" — you'll probably be very very disappointed. plus, they used to have bed bugs, so good luck with paranoia, because the place looks quite dirty.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

Located a hundred meters from the public transport, it is easily accessible. Halfway between the hotel (rooms) and the youth hostel (breakfast), the special configuration (reception on the 4th floor) and a little dated makes the hotel very welcoming.
The rooms are OK in the same way as the renovated bathrooms.
However, the lack of air conditioning makes it a far too hot place. Even in winter.
The Windows overlooking the inner courtyard are unusable in the evening, as a restaurant evacuates it (despite a beautiful stainless steel duct), its cooking fumes.
The rooms overlooking the street are perhaps more enjoyable.
Breakfast is pretty much correct, especially in salty, but little diversified for sweet.
With the exception of some organic vegetables, everything is under vacuum or frozen.
Wi-Fi is catastrophic.

Hotel Basico, but very close to the Metro and the Zoo in Berlin. The breakfast consists of only salted dishes. Friendly service.

The hotel is centrally located and there are many good shops nearby. The elevator was broken, the staircase is dark and old. The reception is on the 4th floor and was unfriendly. Access to the room only by small mini spiral staircase! The room did not look like on the site and has stunk. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Place very deceiving from the outside but it was spotless and lovely inside. Only complaint is that its 1 key per room and for a group of 7 this is an issue especially as to get to are apartment you needed the key to work the 1 lift available so haf to do 2 runs up and down.

Room and hotel on top. Great location. Only the reception staff has an interest. The breakfast is very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in itself was good and lush.

Centrally located. Rooms partly renovated, with shower and breakfast, sufficient for overnight stay and to explore Berlin during the day. Our room was to the courtyard and was very quiet. Always happy.

Unfortunately not suitable for handicapped people because you have to climb stairs to elevator. Room OK but not all really clean. Very good breakfast.

A nice Hotel with the friendly staff, the rooms are averagely spacious and warm in winter. The breakfast is more than acceptable and quite wide. The cleaning service has done its job in a more than effective way. The only problem is that the front desk is on the top floor, there are 4 floors of stairs to do to get there, the elevator is very small, at most they can enter 4 people, so if you are a large group of people some of you will have to do the stairs. The Wi-Fi is free but practically unusable since very very slow.

Perfect city break base. Rooms are adequate and good for somewhere to rest your head. Breakfast is very good.

We booked a double room for one night for €28 over the Internet. Rooms are o. K. Own shower + toilet. Although somewhat refurbished but for the price and a night perfectly fine.

Lovely breakfast, wanted double bed but they could not accomodate where given a room with a balcony instead. Friendly staff.

Was unfortunately a bit louder in front of the hotel since teenagers have loudly applauded every person of their troupe while going out. Nice Hotel.

Rustic Hotel, room inorder and clean, price comparison is inorder, the only thing that bothers me is the breakfast in small room very cramped and mostly crowded.

Clean place, apartment for 8 people very large. The only downside, the entrance to the building which is quite old and the structure itself of the hotel. Reception on the 4th floor, lift old and small, toilet small but clean. Inside the apartment gives the feeling that you are on an independent floor.

Very high price for what they offer. The elevator does not reach the last floor and this last stretch must be uploaded by a spiral staircase (with suitcases). The room is smelly. The building is old and not in very good condition.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we asked questions about the breakfast schedule and the Wi-Fi they gave us a paper written in German without saying anything else.

Shabby in every sense of the terms.
Poor reception, room with bed without a sheet, for this direct in this hotel one understands nothing or is the reception and to access the rooms,, breakfast without pastries, that food, no, really, fortunately I came alone to stay Otherwise I would have been told "you have not found better lol" not to recommend.

Cozy rooms in the center of berlin, realy good breakfast.

Its varied and excellent food, shows a traditional and imposing Berlin.

This is the worst place to stay in Berlin… Please do not stay. We have been bitten by bedbugs badly. Cheap but terrible place. It is not hotel, just place to sleep. This place on 4th and 5th floor of old and dirty building. The lift is unsafe. No sign for where is place and reception. The staff is very unfriendly. Some rooms are more than terrible dirty and unhygienic… Frankly speaking Some rooms good and clean. Also breakfast foods are good. However this is the shame of Berlin and Germany. It should be banned for truism.

Excellent location. Clean bright rooms. Hearty delicious breakfasts. I liked everything. From reception to the room led quite steep spiral staircase-some can be a hassle. The reception from the entrance is accessible by elevator. I think next time I'll choose this hotel again.

Great hotel with a really big breakfast. Very clean, very comfortable beds and nice staff. It has an optimum position.

It's not an awesome place to stay months or weeks but is can handle a few days. The room is good with thermals and tv, but the pillow is terryble. If you can, bring a pillow.

The place is quiet and serene but… In some bathrooms there is the tube for the bidet and in others no, then they are rude, they are not very polite with the Italians (from my experience) for the rest service and everything else is affixed.

Good value ratio, we liked it very much. Everything was easy to reach, many shopping and many bars were available. In some points of criticism I agree with the previous speakers, also with us there were some stains on the carpet, where some construction workers were already on the way in our aisle and the rooms were probably renovated and equipped with new floor coverings. Otherwise it was very clean, the bathroom had a pleasant size. Happy again!

Cheap price. Good location near Ku 'Dam. Parking is not hard to find. Beautiful, clean room.
Breakfast was delicious and versatile. W-Lan and Television. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful.
The breakfast room is too small, though. The stairwell and elevator is in poor condition.

The building is old, room smelt bad and dooner had stains on it. The staff were rude, didn't want to be helpful at all, when we asked how to get to tourist attractions, he just said you have to drive or get a bus. There was a mix up on our confirmation email which said check is was at 11:00am, and instead of the staff member apologising for the mix up and explaining check in is at 2:00pm, he just said no 2:00pm. The breakfast was a nice inclusion, nothing fancy.

Bad experience, rude staff, regular toilet.

Rooms were all clean and the food was also delicious and a lot.
But unfortunately our room did not look like the pictures on the internet. Very small and cramped and the floor of carpet had many stains. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful at any time of the day. The cleaning staff has also worked cleanly and thoroughly.
Breakfast was very tight. The staff can hardly get behind to clearing everything away and filling it up. You have to queuing up and hope for a free table.

If you want to sleep at night, you should book another hotel!
We had the "happiness" all week that were housed in our hallway 2 school classes.
A — from Denmark — — The second one from Spain only lasted until 3 o 'clock in the morning at half 5.
(They were probably still broken by the Danes) friendly staff only VOR of reception.
Only breakfast and its staff were commendable (hence 1 star)

Friendly staff, good food.

The price doesn't match the hotel at all. It was dirty and smelled bad. The people were loud and rude. Was nice that we could bring our dogs though.

The arrival at night was sad. The night then with a broken mattress I dare not think about it. The day then things improved good breakfast, they changed the mattress broken and at the end the stay was acceptable.

Convenient location, but if you happen to sleep on the top floor it's the last thing you will think about. Not all employees are friendly the same way. Filthy room, stains on the carpet, stains on the armchair, pudding on the floor. Crazy.

Lots of stairs, tight stairwells as wellso getting luggage around was difficult. Staff was moderate, didn't really feel they want to help one way or another. Breakfast is large and plentiful.

Hotel was okay. It is hard to find in the street. Building could use a refurbushmint. When you come in, you need to climb a stair, from there you can take the elevator. Reception was at the 4th floor. The guy from the reception was friendly. I could left our key at the reception when I was out. Room was quit nice when you came in, my room was at the 3th floor. Modern bathroom. Bad thing is when we left our windows open, rooms were big so lots of fresh air, but not when someone smoked outside downstairs. My whole room smelled a bit like cigarette. Hotel is located in an alive area with a big shopping street.

Good location and great breakfast, these would deserve one more star. Shame the unpresentable carpet and the dated furniture that lower the average. Clean bathrooms and sheets.

It is a good hotel, it looks like a bit old, but have a fantastic room and also breakfast.

Nice rooms though a little small. Food good if you like potatoes and meat, for vegetarians there are few choices available. Despite the bail we were asked initially everything was fine and the staff was very kind. There are quite a few architectural barriers, i. E. There are so many stairs and the elevator stops halfway between one floor and the other. At the end we enjoyed ourselves, also thanks to the flexibility of the timetables that we have been granted as a group of 94 very cheerful people.

Good value for central Berlin, but don't expect five star standard. Breakfast is ok, but nothing to write home about considering general German hotels' breakfast standards. The room we had was fine. Clean and tidy although the rug was full of spots and the interior decoration dull and spartan. Surprisingly calm location which was really a plus.

The staff are super unfriendly. Rooms from afar hui, at the closer look fie. Stains on the duvet covers + Pamela on the walls, disgusting! Since I have lived in Thailand better for less money. The bathroom was it super clean, window moldy. Not again.

The rooms are clean and new and the location is central and close to a metro station. That's about the only positive thing I can say about the place. We had a triple room, where literally only three single beds fit in. The view is nothing to write home about. The reception, breakfast area and bar is located on the top floor. So getting and leaving your key is very unhandy. The people behind the desk isn't friendly at all and the bar refused to give us just a glass of ice. If you are planning your trip to Berlin I would personally suggest finding a different hotel. If however you don't have a problem with feeling like you are sleeping in a closet, not attach that much value to good service and friendly staff and just want a place to stay… Go for it.

For the location, there is a star. The second is there for the price. Above all else you should not speak.

Rude staff, breakfast average except for the last day on which there was stuffed breakfast the previous day and dinner below average, with limited choice and poor quality. Very cute, though a little small. Conveniently located in a commercial area filled with shops and tourist attractions. Wi-Fi reception depended on the location of the room.

Location is Top. The Hotel Service is more bad than good. The Breakfast room is much to small! Choice of Breakfast would be good would also always everything available. One morning there was around 8:30 (Breakfast goes until 10 PM) no bread and buns more. Only after a complaint has been new bought what is still only 30 min it took. Never again! Will the Hotel not recommend!

The *** "Hotel" was close to an * Hotel. If ur looking for an Hotel a step better as a Backpacker Hostel than its for u perfekt. Many young People, Service Employees are unfriendly and have no fun in their Work. The Freezer/Fridge in our Room was Out of Order! Nice clean simple Rooms like a Motel. Dirty Entrancehall, old Stairs, uncomfortable Floors and the Breakfast Room was too small for all People, some of them at the morning have to take her meal at the Bar. Breakfast is simple and Ok. Nice Hotel for small Money!

1 star for the location, the Hotel does not deserve. When booking a "double comfort" room, we got a small room with two single beds with a view of the neighbor's balcony. At Breakfast you have to stand in line to get a seat to get. This is because for one of the small room to the Other, then it is not time for all the covered seats chairs. To eat there was Cocktaildosenobstsalat with cocktail cherries and Kranwasser at the table. In spite of the quite cheap price, we would have expected to get what was posted. Cleanliness is also not so great value.

First inconspicuous. Not to be deterred! The Hotel is from the outside in the first Moment something "hidden", because it is a normal, old Berlin apartment building with many parties. Here were the old homes being renovated and new, small hotel room divided. The Hotel has a certain charm to offer. My room was completely renovated and also very clean. I can gladly recommend as the price is also, for Berlin standards, quite cheap and by its immediate proximity to the Ku'damm and the KDW everything centrally located and easily accessible. Tip!

Centrally located. The rooms could use a new coat of paint use, but big enough. The bathrooms are well-equipped and clearly mint. The Breakfast is something for everyone here and the staff are very friendly. However, we often had delays in purchasing, as the tables were occupied. A larger space would be more useful.

Hotel clean and well taken care of, the only uncomfortable thing was the reception desk located at the top rather than at the entrance. For the rest, great service.

The room was nice and clean, beds were too soft for us, but breakfest was delicious and rich. The Wi-Fi in our room on the second floor was awful, or should I say it was'nt at all. I coul'd recomend this hotel of the price and place.

There are spacious rooms and others less so. Would you like some ass on what they give you. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Nothing special for people who do not pretend stuff.

I was 22. — 23.5.2014 there. First was strange that before the tour of the room had to be paid. The rooms at the 5. Floor is only via a narrow spiral staircase to reach. With a suitcase a real feat, since to get up. The carpet in the room looked very tatty. The bathroom has a clean impression made. The lack of hot water has this impression a lasting effect destroyed. The reception was just across the Mobilfon of reach, because no Zimmerfon was there. Sorry for the lack of hot water was not available. However, the check in / out attempts, the bill for a second Time to collect. Fortunately, I had on the eve of next stamp on signature of the receipt is passed. Result: Never again.

2 double rooms in a 4 bed room made! drunk people in the whole house! The administration is not a piece of the past and try us as a liar.
