This is not the first time that my fiancer and I go to the Oceania Hotel, always excellent, nothing to say, this relaxing area, pool, spa, massage and really perfect! The welcome of the employees and Formidables, always ask if everything is going well or if we are well!

Lovely room with a decor which is both modern and traditional with high ceilings. It has a strange design feature with a full size openable window between the bedroom an bathroom, which is quite voyeuristic, guess it's a French thing! FYI, we're in a double room not a family room.

1, towels were not changed and no sign noted to leave on the floor 2. We asked for wash cloths; they were taken away and not replaced so then we had to ask again 3. Breakfast was pretty limited — no fresh fruit and the canned fruit was kind of syrupy.

Cosy place, cozy atmosphere and gastros dishes. Excellent even if the beer is way too expensive.

We were so happy to pick this hotel for our 2 day stay in Tour. The staff were so friendly and helpful, special thanks to Xavier for assisting with our rooms and dinner reservations. Terrific bar on premise with great selection of brandies, rhum and whisky.

Only complaint is the room was too hot. Could not get the air conditioning to cool the room enough. Great location and very comfortable bed.

Stay here every time I come to tours. Brilliant place and sited just about perfectly!

Excellent hotel. We had a nice suite with our kids. Balneo in the bathtub. Pleasant staff. Have a nice breakfast. The hotel restaurant has quality products that are well assembled. This could be even better when working on seasonings and cooking. The pool is superb. Overall we are delighted with this hotel.

Sublime hotel, pleasant and helpful staff, very well-made food, very well soundproofed room.
Small snag at the private parking (it's already good there is one) entered dirty, we ask even if it is the right parking.
Otherwise everything is ok.

Very unfriendly porter on arrival night. Was not willing to send us a taxi to our location so we could come to his hotel. A relentless man, too. Hotel Superior Standard. Centrally located, about 15 min walking distance to the Loire, but 5 min to the train station. Only 3 stars because of the porter.

Good stay at the hotel can flats in the classic room there is a door that joins two room where Lēs person can enter, not top at all for a 4 star, not enough pillow and reads a can hard. The bathroom good but small hole between the windows of the shower, otherwise nothing to say about the room, the hotel and the pool.

While the hotel is in a good, central location, the rooms are much to be desired. The rooms are spacious and clean; however, the bathrooms lack a kettle, coffee/tea facilities, shampoo, etc which are available in all other hotels that we stayed in in various cities in France. One of my fellow travellers' room lacked a safe, shelves (not even a single one), and the hot water was tepid. If such facilities were provided, I would recommend the hotel to travellers, otherwise I would stay elsewhere for my next visit to Tours.

Beautiful decor in the lobby. We had no coffee maker in our room. Breakfast was fine but will be nicer to have some veggie dishes. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

Comfy classic Oceania chain hotel in a historic building where they have retained the period features. And you also have the signature Oceania pool, hammam and hot tub… in the centre of Tours, walking distance from both the train station and also the historic districts making a nice dinner or viewing the Cathedral Sound and light show very easy to do on foot.

Arrived 27/7 late afternoon. By car. Unloading bags found that mechanism that secured boot lock had come loose and had lost 1 of the 2 screws which had fallen out… seemed like we would be spending hours trying to get it repaired. But your young porter took the remaining screw to your maintenace room and founda screw similar in length but having a different screw head. He brought 2 screw drivers for the 2 different screw types and repaired our car boot … a marvellous young man who exemplifies true customer service. Our room was very comfortable, as was the whole hotel… your reception staff were all friendly and helpful and your lovely pool helped us relax. Good location in the centre of Tour. A very pleasant stay and we would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

We choose this hotel for some time now when we come on Tours. Since the work done, this hotel is superb, the rooms are spacious and very well decorated. The SPA is a more undeniable and that does a lot of good after a day of walking the streets of the city. Staff very nice with a mention to the morning smiles of staff at breakfast. Thanks again and to very very soon.

Home Service: Staff too stuck too formal. There is a lack of a friendly welcome agent whose job would be to go to the people in a spontaneous way to discuss with them to establish a real human bond. Although the hotel is superb it always feels like arriving in a hotel and not being greeted by a local personality as is done in a guest room.
Bedding: bed very well, but too wide for single person — unable to place a bottle of water on the bedside table because of the luminaires. (Room 513.
Bathroom: Big problem on arrival: No washcloth. Second concern: The unreported waterfall has earned me a cold shower by turning the mixer to the wrong side. Think about putting a sign in.
Breakfast: from tap to eye with products of mediocre quality, as for example, eggs are from industrial farms in batteries. Very disappointed.

Experienced in full work. But seems an exception hotel.

The reception staff is very satisfying as well as the quality of the room, regarding comfort and hygiene. On the other hand, we were disappointed by the lack of hygiene of the carpets, they are stained from all sides and do not reflect the notoriety of a 4 stars. The lobby is gorgeous but the dilapidated state of the ceiling creates a discordant note with the rest. It would be better also to prevent customer that the private parking of the hotel is accessible for the sum of 15 euros. We dined at the hotel restaurant where the meals are very tasty but the room restaurant sad rest and lack of decoration, contrast with the lobby, the floor carpet is stained with all sides also and would require a shift from vacuuming more regularly.

We stayed at the Hotel Oceania L'univers Tours in early November 2015. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and pleasant. The location of the hotel was excellent, just a short walk to many restaurants and lovely streets. Glenys and Colin Thomas, Sydney Australia.

The hotel is in a great location. It is very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would totally recommend it and I would go back and stay there again.

Located in very close proximity to the train station, the tourism office, and the shopping district (Rue Nationale), this hotel definitely deserves the four-star rating. We requested a quiet room at check-in and ended up with a really spacious suite-like room on the second floor facing away from the main street (Blvd Heurteloup). The service there is phenomenal, with every staff member eager to meet your every need. The standard nightly room rate there is 198 Euro, but we requested the prepayment rate of 140 Euro.
