Extremely audible and that at the station with McDonald's in front of it is a really stupid station wagon. It was just awfully loud. The hotel is a somewhat old but nicely furnished hotel that could tolerate a few renovations here and there. Our room and tidy. The employees were very nice, with one exception. It was even partly spoken in English and German.

In itself, everything is okay. Pricefine, location to the city okay.

However, it is very noisy here. And that's not because of the station, as I had initially feared, but because of the people. At this corner of the city there are just a lot of dubious birds that hang out here all night and talk very loudly and excitedly on the street or in front of the McDonalds. The hotel can't do anything about it, but it's still very annoying.
In addition, because of this audience, you don't really feel comfortable here in the area.

The decoration early 20th, the reception, the breakfast and a few hundred meters from the center. More than the most.

Pet friendly, but felt so dated that it seemed haunted and the corridors were dark and creepy. Gave me goosebumps.

The elevator is quite old and small. The room I had was clean, there were a bathroom and had a nice view to the train station. Overall really welcoming.

This hotel is located right next to the station. Room condition was little outdated, but clean. No amenities. There is McDonalds across the street, which is good for having a big sized Americano. I would stay at this hotel if I visit Tours again.

We was given a room that smelt awful, like mold. The room in general was not nice, depressing. The bed leg was broken therefore bed collapsed on sitting on it. Discovered when running a bath that there was a hidden leak that run under floor a wet the carpet floor near foot of bed outside the bathroom. We got our room changed to a much nicer one via night porter. So be aware there are awful rooms and nice rooms there. We found there is other hotels much better and much cheaper. The reception next morning on check out were dismissive and no apology. I do not recomend.

Hello friends travelers, passing by tours our tour operator booked this hotel and unfortunately the experience was not good.
The location of the hotel is central and is unfortunately the only good thing, though, being close to the station, in the evening there is no nice people in the area… The double room received was really small and in two with two normal suitcases you could not move… The bathroom was also cramped but mostly falling apart (I have left two times in my hand the legs of the sink stand). The hotel as a whole absolutely needs a renovated one with the windows in the room which would barely close and the inside of the common areas ruined. Breakfast was passable but the quality of the food was so-so.
The gem was the toilet paper in handkerchiefs: Never found before in many years that I travel all over the world.
Not recommended.

Great staff. So kind and helpful. Someone is training them well. Multiple French hotels on this trip and this one stands out above all. Friendly, welcoming. Lovely room, bath, service. Parking is right across square underground at the gare. If in tours again, will come back to me grand hotel.

Terrific! Highly recommend! The showers are the best we've experienced in 3 weeks traveling France (smile). Desk staff were very helpful with special requests, the breakfast was delicious, rooms very nice, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location can't be any better: easy access to TGV and rental cars. Le Grand Hotel was recommended to us by a Tours resident. Reserve a room with no regrets!

We had an extremely pleasant experience at your hotel. First, we were thrilled to see it just outside the train station, very convenient for travelers. We found all of your front desk staff to be helpful and friendly. We had a couple of special requests — — like arranging a car service to pick us up at our rental car location and bring us back to the hotel — — and they were handled perfectly and with pleasantness. The room (151) was nice. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was perfect. We didn't have the breakfast, but we saw it and it looked like a lot of good food for the money. The lobby is comfortable. Our only minor issue was that the wireless didn't work well or even at all in our room, but it was fine when we were in the lobby. We can highly recommend Le Grand Hotel de Tours.

My wife and I stayed here recently for two days and two nights. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the bus and train stations — great for exploring the central Loire Valley. The room size is typical of Europe and the en-suite bathroom had been newly remodeled. The staff spoke fluent English and were more than helpful with any problems. The Tourism Office is just across the central square where all of the chateau tours start. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, but we chose to eat in local restaurants for breakfast, dinner and lunch. Overall, this was a great place to stay in Tours for a few days. I would stay here again.

Center Tours and just next to the train station, it's really the ideal location. We came here with the family visit the castles of the Loire and we keep a very good memory. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast of the hotel.

I booked through Internet at internet prices (approximately €100 with breakfast in your room). I am a smoker and I had the opportunity to have a smoking room, but the hotel has no ashtray this is not class I had to take a plastic cup and put the water!
The welcome is friendly, the common areas are nice with old-fashioned charm.
The room is very spacious (about 25 m 2), the colors are rich and wanted always with a charm to the old.
And disaster, the bathroom is unworthy of this hotel of mold on the ceiling (in large quantities), an old bathtub and the rest with, room'm not the bathroom.
For its geographical location there is not too much noise quiet (I was there on a Friday night).
