As a wheelchair user, sometimes hotels are a struggle.

​I recently had a stay that started with a bit of a travel nightmare but ended up being one of the best experiences I’ve had.

Outstanding service from reception. We weren’t sure of how to enter the car park but the receptionist was very helpful with his instructions.

Well located near waterfront and main train station. Excellent, helpful service. Very good room. The champagne and oysters at the breakfast buffet was a first for me in this price category!

I stayed at the Saint Nicholas hotel with my 9 year old daughter. We had a cozy room which included a king size bed for me and a single bed for my daughter.

We had a great few days in this hotel right in the centre (very quiet) of La Rochelle.
As part of a road trip being in the centre and having parking were very important.

Very pleasant, reasonably priced hotel about 15 mins walk from the centre. Quiet location, but seemed very safe.

Great Location. Just a short walk to town centre. Decent pool. Good amenities. We had a family room so it was nice to cook some breakfast and an evening snack for the kids.

We liked this hotel. Its location was nice, very close to city center but in a quiet neighborhood facing the old park and greenery. Reception folks were very friendly. Breakfast was good.

We chose Novotel for the location and standard as we were celebrating our ruby wedding anniversary so wanted something better.

This hotel is phenomenal! The service is impeccable. I believe The Villa Grand Voile is a destination in itself. What a wonderful place to stay.

This hotel was converted from the shell of an old chapel and it has an industrial feel. My room was on the first floor which had high up narrow windows which faced the Ibis hotel opposite.

Very clean and cozy hotel. The staff is friendly and always available. However, if you need internet for work, be aware that it is very flaky and unstable. Apart from that everything is great.

The outside is unimposing but once inside everything is of a good standard. Friendly service, modern lift, well appointed rooms overlooking a city park for a very quiet nights sleep.

Welcoming receptionist, easy, secured parking (we chose exterior). Due to roadworks and closures it may be difficult to find from some directions. Ten to fifteen minute walk to centre, vieux port.

We very much enjoyed our 3 day stay at La Baronnie. Our room was very comfortable, with lots of natural light, a comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with swift hot water.

La Baronnie is a lovely hotel, great location in Saint Martin de Re, up a side street just off the port.
The atmosphere is calm and not too busy — I was there late September, early October.

Excellent location with access to a lively sandy beach via a pedestrian underpass. Private secure parking behind the hotel was greatly appreciated.

Having recently stayed at the Hotel Le Grand Large, my husband and I had a wonderful time. The Hotel is in a great location, the pool is kept immaculate and the beach is across the road.

The hotel looks a little run down. The rooms were clean and looked like new.

We ate in the restaurant, service and food were great with classic touches. The building is a little faded but still very worth a visit.
