Hotels in Charente-Maritime with Breakfast

As a wheelchair user, sometimes hotels are a struggle.

I recently had a stay that started with a bit of a travel nightmare but ended up being one of the best experiences I’ve had.

Outstanding service from reception. We weren’t sure of how to enter the car park but the receptionist was very helpful with his instructions.

Well located near waterfront and main train station. Excellent, helpful service. Very good room. The champagne and oysters at the breakfast buffet was a first for me in this price category!

I stayed at the Saint Nicholas hotel with my 9 year old daughter. We had a cozy room which included a king size bed for me and a single bed for my daughter.

We had a great few days in this hotel right in the centre (very quiet) of La Rochelle.
As part of a road trip being in the centre and having parking were very important.

We loved our stay in this unique and beautiful boutique hotel in the center of La Rochelle. It is walking distance to the charming town and marina.

The Arty Hotel enjoys an ideal location and is exceptionally well maintained.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Le Champlain, It was exceptionally clean and quiet. We had a view if the courtyard that was beautiful. Serene and relaxing.

Really spacious deluxe double room as we had 2 dogs. Beds/pillows really comfortable and well equipped. No small fridge.

Reading previous reviews, it seems as if some reviewers were expecting a 4-star hotel!

Very pleasant, reasonably priced hotel about 15 mins walk from the centre. Quiet location, but seemed very safe.
Nice clean rooms and bathroom, friendly staff and ok breakfast.

Great Location. Just a short walk to town centre. Decent pool. Good amenities. We had a family room so it was nice to cook some breakfast and an evening snack for the kids.

This is a top notch hotel in every way.
We ended up having to stay in La Rochelle at the last minute because of wild fires in the Landes, where we were due to meet family.

Maison des Ambassadeurs is located in the heart of La Rochelle’s historic center, just a few minutes’ walk from the Central Market (Marché Central) and the Old Port (Vieux-Port), on a beautiful,

We liked this hotel. Its location was nice, very close to city center but in a quiet neighborhood facing the old park and greenery. Reception folks were very friendly. Breakfast was good.

We chose Novotel for the location and standard as we were celebrating our ruby wedding anniversary so wanted something better.

An outstanding hotel experience is always the result of many small details.

Staff were very hospitable and welcoming. We were accommodated right away.
The bathroom needs to be improved. The water leaks out since the glass shower door has a space in between.

I am in two minds about this establishment — many of the Relais & Chateau values are upheld : — hospitality and kindness, diversity & awareness of sustainability.

This hotel is phenomenal! The service is impeccable. I believe The Villa Grand Voile is a destination in itself. What a wonderful place to stay.

This hotel was converted from the shell of an old chapel and it has an industrial feel. My room was on the first floor which had high up narrow windows which faced the Ibis hotel opposite.

Very clean and cozy hotel. The staff is friendly and always available. However, if you need internet for work, be aware that it is very flaky and unstable. Apart from that everything is great.

This was a good one — night stay.
Not too far from the action.
Rooms were small, but everything worked. Staff were lovely.
Price a few Euro up on similar surrounding hotels.

This is a great place for a stop over — and we reserved a carpark space. The restaurant recommendation from Eric was fantastic.

I recommend Hotel de Paris. I stayed there for 11 nights in early autumn. Jessica & her mother Alexia are friendly and welcoming hosts.

We had a 1 night stay here:
The location and hotel front are lovely,
The lady who checked us in was so kind, polite and very welcoming.

The metal strips on the stair case were loose and dangerous. The noise level of the road system.

Great place to stay. I was with a group and everything was great. Rooms were perfectly clean. Staff at the reception was very friendly.

Basic hotel in a great location. Perfect for exploring old town La Rochelle. Rooms were clean and comfortable with old furniture. Staff were very helpful.

The outside is unimposing but once inside everything is of a good standard. Friendly service, modern lift, well appointed rooms overlooking a city park for a very quiet nights sleep.

Welcoming receptionist, easy, secured parking (we chose exterior). Due to roadworks and closures it may be difficult to find from some directions. Ten to fifteen minute walk to centre, vieux port.

We had a great time at this property 🤗
The staff is very friendly.
The hearty and all-you-can-eat breakfast.
Very clean room as well as common areas.
We obviously 🤗😊 recommend.

We very much enjoyed our 3 day stay at La Baronnie. Our room was very comfortable, with lots of natural light, a comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with swift hot water.

La Baronnie is a lovely hotel, great location in Saint Martin de Re, up a side street just off the port.
The atmosphere is calm and not too busy — I was there late September, early October.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Le Domaine de Meunier (2 adults, 3 children (7/6/1)
Ourselves and our children absolutely loved it there, found the hotel/gites to be a perfect home from home.

Staying in this house is like entering a home, where the past is reflected and where you also find life today.

An exceptional place tastefully decorated, you really feel a beautiful soul in this castle where you feel so good.

We lived a waking dream at the Château de Mouillepied! Sarah and Mathieu are extremely welcoming and warm hosts and they really made us and our guests feel at home!

Very nice stay, with a nice welcome, more than to come back thank you very much.

A very pleasant stay and a caring staff.

Le Clos St. Martin is a beautiful small hotel in St. Martin de Re. Perfectly located (not on the harbor but a 7 minute walk away — easy to get to but also very quiet at night, which allowed us to

Great hotel — the staff (plenty of them) cannot do enough for you. What a lovely smallish hotel with a 5 star service. Great position — 2 min walk into the harbour.
