The Illa Experience Hotel was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The hotel building is an architect’s dream, with interesting features throughout.

We got an amazing room which had a separate seating area and a good size bathroom. The reception was very good, staff were wonderful and organized a cultural event every late afternoon.

We stayed two nights at Kinde House and it was great. Edouard quickly replied to any questions and was eager to help us to enjoy our stay in Quito.

I arrived at night with a transfer arranged through the hotel. The door wasn't opened, and I had to wait for 15 minutes. Fortunately, the taxi driver didn’t leave.

We stayed here for three nights. The room was an ok size.
We didn't like the fact that the shower was separate from the toilet and basin. The shower was quite small.

Our guide recommended this place and made a reservation for us. We had dinner at the rooftop bar.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The check-in process was quick and my room was ready early, which was lovely after a long overnight flight.

If you’re in Quito book this hotel! Walking distance to many things from attractions to restaurants. The hotel is an old home and charming. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

Excellent location, steps to historic district, or public transportation. Staff was wonderful and quick to respond to any needs. Breakfast is delicious. Historic interior design.

Casa Gangotena proved to be the perfect home base for exploring Quito.

Stayed here 5 nights upon arrival in Quito from Spain and loved it here. The private room I had was clean, spacious with plenty of room to put clothes and gear out on as plenty of shelving too.

I have been in Quito for a week (just came for food and views; not staying at this hostel) and the guacamole toast I enjoyed here is in my ‘Top Five’ most delicious meals, thus far.

Its a nice honest family run hotel. Dont expect luxury for the price here. Mattresses are a bit hard, but I prefer that over sagging mattresses in other hotels which give me back pain.

For 9, 80$ a night for a 2person bedroom, this is a really good deal!

Wonderful Hostel, very nice chill out areas, located in the Historical Centre and near the Metro Station. Everything gets cleaned every day.

I love the architecture of this hostel, is like staying in a mansion from the 1800. A vibrant well preserve colonial house, a magical garden and a tree house.

I enjoyed the comfortable room and the location in the historic district. The light breakfast was good. Tours were available as well. The staff were kind and helpful.

I had a very pleasant stay at this warm and cozy hotel. It offers excellent value for money. Having a nice TV with Netflix was a big plus and really helped with my jet lag.

Very nice traditional Spanish nobility room, modern bath, super view of Plaza Santo Domingo, located in the historic center, clean, a bit cold but it has bathrobes and good blankets.

This was a lovely stay that felt very safe and had a beautiful view. We stayed in the honeymoon suit, where we had a panoramic view of Quito. It was beautiful during the day and during the night.

Hotel San Francisco was right where we wanted to be, downtown in the colonial section with the ability to walk to the squares.

Stayed in January 2024. Arrived late and was welcomed with a smile. Rooms are comfortable and quiet since mine looked out into the closed inner lobby.

I loved this place! First time in Ecuador and was with a group from my university. Beautiful old Spanish mansion and large, comfortable and clean rooms. They did my laundry for $1 a pound.

Clean, quiet, economical accommodation in the heart of old Quito. It is a prime location with 100$ rooftop view. San Francisco metro station is less than 100m.

Beautiful old house, very classy. Spotless clean, good sized room, spacious bathroom with nice hot shower. Excellent breakfast and very attentive staff.

Hotel La Cierva de San Marcos is a good option for travelers. The staff were helpful and efficient in arranging transport and airport pick-up.

Charming and warm building and staff. Beautiful decor of antiques and hand made ceiling in the large salon of Thai historic boutique hotel.

This is an interesting place to stay which is a good value and at a great location for visiting the old town sites. Breakfast was really great too!
