Hostels in Cuenca near Cuenca New CathedralHostel

Superb hostel managed by two great gentleman. Spacious, peaceful with all the amenities and more!

I stayed here for three days, and it was the best stay I have had in a hostel!

We had a great time in the hostel Latina. The owner is really helpful and will give you good advices on what to visit in Cuenca and where to eat a good cuy (local specialty).

This quiet (as possible) hostal a mere few blocks from the Parque Calderon is full of history and nice people.

I had such a lovely stay at Ñañas Hostel in Cuenca!

Best location. Keep in mind that it's a hostel, not a Ritz Carlton. You'll find everything you need within a few minutes of walking. The café across the street is excellent for breakfast.

If you are going to Cuenca, Please Stay Here. Starting with Mr Tony, very respectful Host, Open to talk and give recomendations about Cuenca and almost everything and everywhere in Ecuador.

I recently stayed at this hostel in Cuenca the first week of September 2025, and while the accommodations were simple and straightforward, it was the exceptional service from the owner and manager,

Heyho!
Last month I've spent there 3 nights.
Overall the comfort of this "hostel" is outstanding, marvellous. It's actually a house with a garden in a rich, posh district of Cuenca.

I loved staying at this hostel — very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, safe and quiet neighborhood, comfy big beds in dorms, amazing green backyard!

I needed a place to nap for like 3 hours but the place seemed to have a really cool vibe.

For the price paid this place is great. Some of the other reviews notably the last 1/5 star comprises of pure lies.

Great 24h service; clean, spacious but basic private rooms.
We arrived in Cuenca early in the morning and had difficulty getting a response from other "24 hour reception" hostels.

This hostel is good for traveling on a budget. It is conveniently located — very close to everything in the Centro Histórico. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are cleaned frequently.
