It's really cheap, but it's in a dangerous part of town. A taxi driver refused to take us back from Las Penas. Luckily, we stood by these security guards and they helped us find someone. The room is decent, and service is nice. I heard breakfast is good, but haven't tried it yet and it's free! It's 10 minutes from the airport and a taxi costs 5$ to get here.

This review is slightly biased because we arrived in Guayaquil after two days of all day bus travel. We took day buses because I had insomnia and can't sleep on night buses as it is. In addition, I got a cold while riding on the buses, so we arrived in Guayaquil exhausted, sore from bus travel, and I was sick and tired. We planned to stay in Guayaquil only for the night, so I did my research in advance and saw that Dreamkapture had good reviews for their mattress and bed. Then and now I am blown away by how (relatively) expensive hostels are in Ecuador, in general, particularly in a non-tourist friendly city like Guayaquil, but I knew that the price to expect on arrival was in the mid $20s. Upon arrival at Dreamkapture, in our exhausted, sore, and sick state, we were informed that the price was actually $34, which we stated must be incorrect since we saw the price already. Miguel proceeded to explain that this was incorrect and the only rooms available were $34. Being exhausted and in a semi-sketchy neighborhood at 9 pm (the taxi driver hesitated when we asked him if it was safe, so not making this up), we did not want to walk out on the streets to find another, more reasonably priced hostel. After getting to our room, I immediately checked Booking, and the price was $26.50 for the room we were in. Like most people, I really dislike being lied to and taken advantage of.

A bit pricey for what it is compared to other hostels we stayed at in south America, bit the guy on reception is very helpful and friendly. Taxi is $5 from the bus terminal.

Good Place to spend the night, the facilities well, for the price could be better.

Place comfortable and warm… close to a main shopping center in Guayaquil.

Really cozy hostel in a good location. Nice breakfast/eating area on the second floors terrass. Nice, clean rooms and a good shared bathroom woth enough warm water. Plenty of plants in the hostel and even a small swimming pool.

Beautiful place, very cozy and inexpensive!

Low budget, low end. Nothing special. It's best feature is location. Close to City Mall, and local businesses for dining and shopping, even a close by laundry drop off. Not accommodating even if you reserve and ask for rooms on lower floors for prosthetic persons.

Small but very cozy hostel, would have been nice to spend a couple more days there. It was hard to find at 1am as the sign is not obvious at all. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, although not the most social place.

Booked a private room for one night as we were flying out the next morning. Showed up and there was a sign on the door saying the hostel was closed for the day and no one answered the door. Really annoying after a long day in a bus. Then having to find another place at night after that. Not coo.

It is good care and service, comfortable clean and little noisy, also by 4 dollars in the malecon. I recommend it I am Peruvian. I host a day by 11 dollars.
