It was phenomenal. There were a lot of insects but it was good for the middle of the jungle. The people who worked there are amazing and made my stay feel like home. The guide was so knowledgeable about the animals and plants of the region and took us in the boat to the beach and throughout the other canals. We saw so many animals, including three species of monkey, toucans, and sloths. Please come to Lirio Lodge because I think it's the best place to go for a true Costa Rican rainforest experience.

I spent a weekend in the hotel and can't wait to go back. Everything from the beginning was amazing: we rode a boat to the hotel through virgin forest; when we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted by the friendliest staff and then the bungalows are simply amazing. The entire experience made us feel in contact with nature and was a great break from our everyday routine. If you come, make sure to bring a good book and mosquito repellent!
