Best views, good staff. Space is okay for young families. They provide playpen on demand. Book in advance for hot tub because of covid so limited number of people allowed. Preferably book a day in advance. Food is awesome from shelter restaurant 5 mnt drive from resort. Recommend for sure pretty quiet in night and safe.

Accessible. Roll in showers, space under beds for a lift. Very high bed for a transfer from wheelchair to bed but doable if the person helping stands on the bed and pulls the person in the chair up under their arms. Beautiful views of sunsets and beach from bed. Lovely staff. We had a beautiful stay and will certainly be back.

Being there's nothing to eat at around 11pm during the winter months u would think there would be a restaurant at the hotel. But they only have breakfast. I know this isn't the ideal time of year to visit but a pub would be great on the property.

Loved it! We went there as a group. It felt like home away from home. I fell in love with Tofino, a lot of us did! Best Western Tin Wis Resort is clean, courteous. Five plus stars!

This hotel is located in a magical place called Tofino. If you can at all spare a couple of days to come out here and enjoy these beaches as well as the wonderful people who lived here and work here you must make the effort. All the rooms at this hotel or ocean facing there really are no bad rooms. They have a great Restaurant and Lounge. The staff and servers are all very friendly and ready to help their guests. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Tofino.

Location is beautiful and rooms are large and comfortable, however not very well soundproofed. Lots of noise from upstairs. Also claims to be pet friendly and charges per night for a dog, but, unlike other resorts, no bowls, blankets or even a cookie provided for my dog. Very disappointed. Not sure why I paid extra. For that reason I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location on the beach. Rooms are good size and very clean when arrived. Staff very friendly and proud of the Resort and the surrounding area. Check in and out fast with no surprises great staff. Ample parking and appears to be very safe and secure. Restaurant now offers free breakfast for guests and is fairly typical of a buffet. Dinner is a little slow and there is a limited selection of meals offered. Try anything with salmon generous portions and cooked to perfection. Would recommend the resort to others. Grounds at night are very nicely lighted and there are fires on the beach.

Location is perfect staff is nice views and sunset are so beautiful. You pay a bit more but the location is perfect. Omg *** THE BREAKFAST *** is a complete disaster never ever have experienced such a chaotic mess. Nobody knows what they are doing all runs out instantly queues are too much to handle. Come on Best Western you can do a lot better! It was so fun too watch though but seriously get a grip on the breakfast guys this was insane. If the breakfast was good we would have given 5 stars!

The staff were very friendly, housekeeping services very good and left little personalized touches like notes to guests in the rooms. Hosted a function at the resort and they were very accommodating! Would highly recommend! Beautiful location too.

Excellent stay. Rooms were nice & clean, beds were comfortable. The ocean view from our room was beautiful! Coffee, tea, microwave, cork screw, even wine glasses in room were convenient. Restaurant was lovely, great service and good reasonably priced food. Can’t beat the location! I personally loved that guests could bring their dogs. We enjoyed watching them frolic on the beach :)

Absolutely beautiful sight. Our room faced the ocean… WOW. The whole installation is very attractive as well as the beautiful surroundings. Very clean, bright rooms and common areas. Staff at desk very friendly and helpful. Close enough to Tofino, but yet still feel you are in nature. Highly recommend.

The Tin Wis is right on MacKenzie beach, approx. 5 minutes from Tofino. We enjoyed the beach very much. We found starfish, anemones, and lovely surf just a few meters from our ground floor room. Our room had a great king size bed. No problems sleeping here. There are two hot tubs on site and we took advantage of the hot tubs after a day on the beach, and a walk in the rain forest which is also close by. This was my second stay at Tin Wis and it was a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Ann Foster.

This is my second time at the Tin Wis. The location is absolutely perfect with McKenzie beach just outside your room. Beautiful sunsets and ocean views. An easy walk to local shops and the botanical gardens and a quick drive (or 40 min walk) to Tofino and a quick drive to Pacific Rim National Park. If you're eager to get in /on the water — You can also rent SUP, surfboards and kayaks on site. Staff have exceeded my expectations here. Always attentive, friendly and easy to talk to. This trip I noticed that the staff who work here all seem genuinely happy, which goes a long way as you can tell that there is a lot of effort and care put in to making Tin Wis so clean and comfortable. Management goes above and beyond to address any concerns in a timely and friendly way.

My husband and I spent a wonderful long weekend at this resort. We have nothing negative to say about the property. The room was clean, staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and most of all so was the beach. Will definitely be coming back for a visit in the future.

Wonderful resort! Right on the beach! Spectacular view of the beach from our room. Super yummy food at the restaurant. We have a king with a kitchenette and everything was already there (plates, cutlery, corkscrew, etc). Also I love that they have a kureg coffee maker — so much easier than the traditional hotel coffee machines. The only thing I did not like was the bed, my boyfriend really loved it and said he wasn’t comfy! I’m just not a fan of firm beds is all, but everything else made up for my pickiness! Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly staff, very accommodating and eager to please. Room very clean and presentable. Good views of the ocean and grounds. Cleanliness evident everywhere! No glitches on check in or checkout. Mentioned we were there for my wife's birthday and the check in clerk immediately produced a $25 card toward her birthday dinner! Food and service very good! Very comfortable bed and we slept very well. At checkout we were offered fresh coffee and warm cookies! They didn't miss a thing!

The view was nice. The staff was nice and accommodating. Rooms were nice. Food was great. When we asked about towels that had run out in the sauna late at night, they immmediately stocked more. Would recommend.

Loved the location and our room was very comfy. Pet friendly and made us feel our dog was welcome and not just tolerated (food and water dishes provided plus a blanket and towel for the dog). Beautiful beach and lots of room for our dog and lots of others to run and run. The restaurant was handy. A little expensive and while most of the staff were very pleasant service was slow (but then we are retired so have time). Staff were pleasant and helpful and we felt very welcome. Loved the call to our room after we checked in to make sure it was okay. Only complaint is not with the hotel or staff at all but other guests with a dog who felt the resort pet rules were not for them, letting their dog run free on the resort grounds and not cleaning up. Over all, We loved our Tin Wis experience and will be back. No problem recommending to our friends.

An awesome hotel and great value in Tofino. I stayed in the King suite, which had a tub at the window overlooking the beach. It was amazing! The customer service was top notch and the location can’t be beat. I highly recommend this hotel!

Pros: Good location. Fantastic views of the ocean from all rooms. Very clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice artwork of first nation masks in our room. Well priced. Negatives: I originally gave this a 4 star but after receiving my credit card bill I found this place charged me for an extra night we didn't use. We did get our money back but there wasn't really much of an apology. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Fan over tub is really loud needing repairs/replacement. King bed needs to be replaced. Front desk recommended a restaurant for crab. We went there only to find out it was closed for the winter and crab are not in season.

This hotel is located on a pristine and beautiful beach, easily accessed from many paths. The rooms are very comfortable. The rates are terrific at this time of year. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I look forward to returning.

We stayed in this wonderful hotel December 23 & 24 in room 307 under my wife's name. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Curtis and Deanna who went out of their way to make us feel welcome in the dinning room. The only complaint would be the lack of accessibility in the dinning room. As a wheelchair user I was limited to the upper area because there is no ramp to the lower area so that we could enjoy the incredible view with our meals. Management/owner should recognize that over 14 % of the population has some sort of mobility issue. Curtis and Deanna made sure to reserve the upper area table for our use. The rest of the property is accessible including our room even with the small rise at the doorway. Overall this will be our hotel of choice when visiting Tofino and I highly recommend the Best western Plus Tin Wis. What a great place.

The location is amazing, right on the beach and every suite has an ocean view. The rooms are modern except for the bathtub but I hear they're updating those soon. The room was cleaned extremely well every day, felt very relaxed here. Right at arrival I was given a local map along with recommendations for places I might have interest in. Close to many hikes, stores, restaraunts and again the beach. Highly recommend and it's affordable :)

Beautiful location. Lobby, lounge/restaurant are very nice. Rooms are a little dated. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Food and drink at restaurant were good. Our room wasn't as clean as expected when we checked in (needed a touch-up vacuum, which was done for us) and smelled a little like wet dog (pets are allowed)

This is a beautiful resort, the scenery is incredible and the staff are super friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant choices are slim but the food is excellent, I was really surprised there wasn’t a salmon dinner but they did have a salmon chowder that was great. I’d highly recommend this resort to family, friends and perfect strangers!

Accommodations are great — clean, quiet and spacious. Restaurant food was very good — but some staff need more training. Very pleasant however. The view from the facility is great with easy beach access. I will stay here again.

The staff and facility were excellent. The grounds provided a nice place to stroll and admire the ocean, as well as just relax (we had great weather). When we asked to be changed to an upstairs room, the front desk worked successfully to accommodate our request for the second and third nights of our stay. We ate several meals in the Oceanfront Bistro and were not disappointed except for one halibut dinner — which the dinning room compt.

Stayed in room with 2 queen beds and a loft with a spectacular view. Was well worth the price. No complaints about my stay at all.

Reception was smooth once we found the correct hotel — due to the GPS and not hotel signage. Beautiful position on the beach and we had a perfect, and clean, room with large balcony and two large beds. The bathroom had excellent lighting, which cannot be said for many hotels and the beach view, even in the rain, was perfect. Breakfasts are huge by European standards and difficult to resist and very efficiently served, but for the one dinner that we ate in the hotel service was slow and erratic and I believe that the kitchen was overwhelmed by sheer number of diners. The food was ok, though my salmon was too strong for my taste and was actually very small — just two tiny fingers of salmon piled on to the vegetables. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, giving us a chance to unwind but found food and wine on the pricey side. However, if we returned we'd certainly stay here again for its welcome, cleanliness and location, and Torfino itself is not far where there are good restaurants.

Amazing view, and great staff! I love that it is owned and operated by the local Indigenous community (this is the reason that we chose to stay here). It was 100% worth it. I did not even want to stay in the room because the views were so nice (the rooms were all you need, so no complaints there either). Great location, just close enough and far enough from everything. Even if it was a little cold when we went, I could not bring myself to stay inside. Great place to reconnect, gorgeous in all weather too!

Awesome location right on a wonderful beach with full view from balcony. Clean, updated, easy parking, great beds, towels, amenities. Staff is cheerful and do their jobs so well. Lots of things to do right on site. Some of the hotel building is a bit dated but it's still a great spot to stay. Beach is perfect for small kids too with no big waves.

Excellent 3 night stay at this non-typical Best Western resort. The rooms are a little lacking in decor but it's a non issue as you'll be drawn to the tremendous views offered in each room. Throwing distance to the beach, each room as either a full sun deck or ground floor patio to enjoy the scenery. There is a hot tub located on the property but we didn't get a chance to use it. The restaurant was good and definitely offers great value for breakfast as they give a discount for hotel guests. The discount does not extend to dinner however, which is a shame because the food was quite good and would definitely encourage more people to dine here.

The room was nice, good beds and very clean. The service at the restaurant was very slow and bad, so bad that we ended up leaving before our meal. The hot tub and the fitness room looked like they were rarely used, but were very clean. Overall, a decent hotel experience. The view is phenomenal.

Had breakfast with my family during a recent power outage. This place has a generator so they're always open! The Food was good, but the service was disorganized and slow. The restaurant seemed about half full, but we came around 10am, perhaps just after a rush. Chalk it up to a bad day perhaps (we've been many times and the service is great) but this was a memorable bad experience.

This resort was fabulous. Quaint, great views, and fairly nice sizes. Wifi is questionable at best, especially with our day and age being so data oriented. Hot tub is a little far from some of the rooms. Beach is fantastic, even during a storm. Also, a room with a kitchenette is slightly depressing, as the kitchen area is smaller than 1meter wide. Some tiny houses have bigger kitchens. Some are bigger, but not the Queen sized loft suite. Will definitely consider this again if back in tofino.

Really a delightful place to stay, the hotel is designed so that each room has a lovely view of the water. Clean, comfortable facility with friendly staff. Our room was a little overpriced for off-season ($150 per night in November), but on the whole this is a restful, romantic place to spend the night.

This was several years ago but I've always want to give them credit for an awesome stay: Had a very helpful concierge from the full Wickaninnish Inn call over to ask if there was any last-minute availability for me and my travel partner on a Thursday evening in February. We lucked out! We stayed in a 'cabin' just outside the main building, on the second floor that felt really private and secluded. Perfect! The room had great ambiance, clean, comfortable and full of amenities. Close enough to hear the surf through the open patio doors while relaxing int the soaker tub warmed by the fireplace. What a fantastic combination! BEST breakfast ever in the main restaurant: Windsurfer's French Toast. I'd stay there in a heartbeat if I'm back out that way.

Our dinner at the Beachfront Bistro was excellent. Great tasting and nicely presented food, attentive, friendly service and a great setting allowing us a nice view of all the beach activities.

From the time we entered the hotel, we felt a peace and relaxation come over us that remained through our entire stay. While my husband checked us in, I read books to our children that were available on the coffee table. I knew right then, this hotel thinks of everything. Our room was spotless and oh, so comfortable. I had FANTASTIC sleeps and the spectacular view of the the ocean was the only thing that was able to get me out of the wonderful bed. We had a kitchenette in our room which was great for making a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. The grounds were clean and there was always someone working to keep the grounds and buildings clean. We felt right at home here. The bistro food was amazing! We ate there every night and enjoyed the simple yet varied menu. Every night my husband and I ate different seafood selections and always found them quite tasty. We would love to return and highly recommend Tin Wis Resort.

The nicest Best Western we've ever stayed in. Large room, great view, convenience kitchen that was clean and well-equipped. This is a very new resort and they have incorporated all the latest technologies to be efficient while providing their guests with great comfort and facilities. We were so impressed we stayed an extra day. Guests have access on the hotel grounds to a broad sandy beach that is otherwise closed to the general public. There is a small surf-shop on site. Also a bistro (but we didn't try it). There is a mini-mart and a GOOD take-out grill within half-mile south on the other side of the highway. Downtown Tofino (stores, gallaries, etc) is a mile or two to the north. Good signage on the highway marks the turnoff to the hotel. Go down the side road about 100 yards to find the hotel, which, however, has no more signage — all very low key. I don't usually write review, but this one was worth it.

My colleague and I have stayed at the Best Western Tin Wis several times since December 2012 for work. It is built on an absolutely stunning piece of property overlooking the water with views that truly take your breath away. During our stays, though, numerous issues began to emerge. For example, my credit card was charged a cancellation fee for dates I was never scheduled to stay, the rates that we were charged differed from week to week, my colleague and I were charged different rates for the exact same room, and we often did not get the rooms requested at the time of reservation. Granted, all of these issues were relatively minor, and were addressed once they were brought to the attention of the staff, but are still somewhat unexpected when staying at a professionally run resort. Further to this, there seemed to be an undercurrent of unrest among the staff members, where some staff members belittled some of their co-workers in front of us for the mistakes that were being made. As well, while most staff members were extremely friendly and accommodating, there were a couple who could be downright rude at times; these individuals seemed to follow the philosophy that “the customer is always wrong. ” And finally, the fitness room was constantly under-repair while we stayed, with staff being unable to tell us from week to week (when we called in preparation for our visits) whether we could expect it to be open.

We stayed at the Tin Wis in early July just after the renovations were done. The rooms are excellent, service was excellent, as was the food in the restaurant. The views are amazing, along with walks on the beach and touring the surrounding Long Beach Park and Tofino. All round awesome stay. We found the staff and management very open to feedback. And don't forget to see all of the Indian art in the rooms, restaurant and lobby. Great renovation. Keep up the great work.
