An overpriced valet, you do not have the opportunity to retrieve your own car because it nested like a Tetris in the back yard.
You have to have lunch elsewhere in the city at a restaurant of the group.
Service and hygiene are not up to scratch. Pittoresque, perhaps, but not for a view of a brick wall.

Filthy stinky carpet floor made stay unpleasant. No chance to get another room. Staff seems temporary, unattached. We ask for two beds, we got a folding toe hitter. Overpriced valet service doesn’t work before 8 AM or after 8 PM so you have to master parking in tight backyard spots downtown if you ever need your car those hours. Also not very quiet, there was noise from other rooms or other nearby hotels. Otherwise, very close to downtown.

Upon arrival staff was unfriendly and we were told our room was in a different building. Once we got to our room, on the fourth floor our air conditioner did not work. The staff at the front desk told us the air conditioning was broken for the weekend, not ideal in 27 degrees Celsius. Called back again asked to switch rooms and was told they were all booked up and we could have a fan or cancel our reservation and go somewhere else. Very very dissapointing experience. Ended up cancelling, luckily for no charge. Found a much nicer hotel, friendly staff, in a better location, all for the same price.

+ bien placé (c’est le gros plus de cet hôtel), calme, café / cappuccino offerts, parking privé (à payer) — chambre ‘vieillotte’ sans trop de charme qui mériterait rénovation. Petit déjeuner dans un restaurant à l’extérieur correct, mais sans plus. Le spa ne fonctionnait pas.

Correct room without more. The restaurant where we take lunch is a few steps away from the hotel. Very very ordinary lunch.

Awesome hotel. Clean, good space, great breakfast! Located in Old Quebec, great location! Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in a junior suite, this suite was well appointed with a comfy queen bed, small sitting area, large windows, big bathroom with spa tub!

Located in the walls of Old Quebec. Nice European aspect. I travelled in a group, the quality of the rooms was very disparate for the price… Personally I was upgraded because more room in the Catégrie requested: very good.

Great for a weekend getaway… good location to walk around old QC, nothing fancy, but it’s exactly as advertised and not very expensive. If you’re looking for a hotel to stay in and use all amenities, this is not the place for you, otherwise it’s perfect.

We chose to cancel our réseervatin on site. The spa was broken and our room was really small. We did not force ourselves at the reception to keep us, since I had confirmed that we would have a brick wall and a fireplace in the room and an accessible spa, included in the hotel services. Disappointed! For a romantic outing, it changed the plans. For the asking price we found an equivalent and we finally went to the Concorde, much better.

Very nice room, very nice welcome. Location of choice in the heart of Old Quebec, close to everything. Centennial Building and exceptional cachet! I loved the service and I plan to come back! The only negative is the buffet style lunch, which is not at the same hotel, but in a restaurant next door, or the service is mediocre. But for the hotel, it's a 100%.

The rooms were bigger then expected. Service was excellent! Staff was super friendly. The location was perfect for exploring old Quebec, everything was within walking distance.

It's a hotel with great character, if you are looking for one. It has few separate buildings in the heart of Old Quebec close to everything you might be interesting in. The room was cozy, modern, and neat. Staff was helpful and welcoming.

The room we got was much older than the pictures suggested. The wooden floor was very dirty, the hallway carpet leading to our room was dirty as well. During our 2 nights stay we didn’t get any room cleaning services. The room also had an ant problem! The bed was old and uncomfortable to sleep on. The only good thing about this place is it’s location. This was not worth the prices at all.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of Old Quebec that is always a cozy place to return to after a good day of exploring. Room is a bit small and a bit old but that also feels like part of the charm. Love the location and convenience for the price and look forward to returning again!

Very quaint. Good location. A little on the noisy side. Kcups and coffee maker are a plus. Ask about the back entrance of you are staying on the first floor to avoid the stairs.

Nice room, the hotel is very well located for tourists. On the other hand the breakfast is not worth at all its price concerning the sweet. There was little choice.

We had the pleasure of being upgraded to a studio.
The bed seemed to have lived (hole in the middle) and the TV was period …
Clean bathroom and equipped kitchen (except cutlery).
The most are the positioning and the open access hot tub.

My stay at this hotel was satisfying.
We were 3 and had a rather large room.
The building in which the hotel is located is ancient, charming and above all very well placed in the heart of the old town of Quebec.
On the roof, a small jacuzzi allows to relax after a day of walking.
From the comments I have read about this place, it seems that not all rooms have the same comfort…

Super! Nice Hotel Junior Suite whirlpool bath and fireplace. We loved it… for customers who say they are dissatisfied, we will definitely return. We really loved it. 4.5 stars.

Though there is some charm to the shabby old-world building, they need to up their game to bring this accommodation to the 3 stars it claims. Towels were very old, double pane windows totally wrecked (avoid in winter! ) and bathrooms out of date. It was clean and the staff was OK (not excellent, and some were bordering on rude). The location is superb, though. If you don't need any amenities and are ready to lower your expectations (expect 2 star or even 1 star), go for it! Otherwise, there are plenty of accommodations around in better shape (*I was placed in a building across the main Acadia building, Nr. 52, which belongs to the hotel, I did not see the Acadia rooms, but at Nr. 52 there were no amenities at all).

We were upgraded to a nicer room which was great. The room had a kitchen, bath, couches. The TV was average and the bed to was a bit hard.

We go to Quebec City every year for Christmas and the hotel we normally stay at was booked, so we tried the Hotel Acadia. It was AMAZING! We will be coming back to this hotel from now on! The location was perfect, we love to walk all over old Quebec and Hotel Acadia was close to everything we love to see. It was tucked away on a quiet street and very close to lots of fantastic restaurants. We even found some great places we’ve missed in our previous visits! The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was beyond our expectations, it was beautiful, super cozy, clean, and romantic… and OMG the mattress was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on! If you plan on visiting Quebec City, do yourself a favour and stay at Hotel Acadia! 5 stars isn’t enough!

Location was amazing, I was given an upgraded room upon arrival. Only issue was that the Wi-Fi wouldn't work, other than that, it was great!

This place is amazing! It's older but upgrades have been made. Within a 10 minute walk to go site seeing. Help at the front desk was amazing! Will for sure come back here.

Very disappointing hotel that imagines itself thanks to a favorable location having the luxury of a 4 star. Room in the attic where the square is divided by 2 because of the roof, window to the look of a murderer. No elevator, thanks to the fifth floor. Parking Place at advantageous rent. For them. Not to mention the 2-seater bed which is only one and a half square. The Acadia hotel where to spoil your holiday.

Although the room is clean and the building is old yet well maintained, we were disappointed. For the price that we were being charged for the two days was not worth the accommodation. The room was just big enough to fit the bed night stands and a small desk. We expected to be in Hotel Acadia but had to walk down the street to a different building. Parking was a good 5-10 minute walk away. We have stayed in better places for half of what we are paying for. That aside, the sights and food and weather eased our disappointment.

Good location and friendly staff. Hotel room is quite dated and overall pretty expensive for what you're actually getting. Wifi is slow and iffy and building 52.

It was in old Quebec close to sites, but the bed was saggy and small. It hurt my back lying on it. Also the air conditioning was cycling on and off and in the middle of the night it got too hot to sleep and we couldn't adjust it. The room is antique-ish in decor. But the bathroom was very small. It was very clean however and the toiletries smelt nice.

The room was clean but the condition of the place was really disappointing. Several holes in the walls, one on the ceiling… it was even missing pieces of moldings. Finally, the room and its door were so poorly soundproof that every noise wakes us at night. For the first time in my life I take the time to write an opinion to advise against this establishment.

Location is excellent the ambience is rustic and attractive in the rooms. On the other hand the service notice of valet parking is not actually available, as the place is probably very limited what should appear in the hotel's opinion. Finally it is important that the management of the hotel invests in the electricity system to modernize it and inter the access to electrical panels from there shares of visitors to preserve this heritage.

The service is very good, people are nice and they'll offer to do anything for you. The rooms are really nice and they are well cleaned. The only little thing I didn't like was the fact that we were told we would have a breakfast included, but their restaurant was closed for an unexplained reason. However, because of this, the parking was free. Great experience, I would highly recommend.

Was surprised to learn when checking in that I wasn't staying at the hotel, but one of the other properties that forms part of the hotel group. Complimentary Wi-Fi is extremely unreliable, reception staff couldn't care less, but otherwise rooms are clean and adequate.

The location is great, within walking distance of Chateau Frontenac and The Citadelle, but the hotel is not. The rooms are tiny, musty and ill equipped. There's a mini fridge but no microwave, the TV is an old style tube TV and the AC is not great. Our window looked like it was supposed to open but appeared jammed. There are better hotels on the same street, let alone the area.

My family and I stayed at this hotel during carnival in February 2016. The hotel charged my credit card a 210, 00$ HOLD fee, then re-charged 154.00 (the latter was the real hotel charge for 1 night). They said they cancelled the original hold amount, but it was never cancelled. The hotel NEVER reimbursed us and we were also charged 6 TIMES for Carnival passes for 3 ENTRIES, Jennifer at the desk was RUDE and non-compliant. Harris was caring and said if the charge was not reimbursed after 1 week that we call back… its been 2 months … nothing… and we get no help from ANYBODY at this hotel. It's too bad… nice facility… but god forbid…,. They can randomly charge your card and no help to get reimbursed… filed a claim with VISA and STILL NOTHING… NEVER AGAIN. For this cost could have stayed at the HILTON where we normally stay and had GREAT service and polite, considerate staff. Buyer beware… VISA confirmed the hotel never cancelled the original charge. Scammers. What hotel burns bridges like that and risks a ruined reputation? Teri and Emmanuel Misonne.

First impression is the front desk guys. So welcoming person. After a long day driving definitely you need that. Bulding takes you 800 years back in history makes you live the past like in movies. Room, same as the bulding ; organized, clean and cozy. Hotel location, In the middle of the action, in the middle of 1608 when the first French landed in the city, you just need a 5 minutes walk to start the 1800s war between kings to get hold of your town. People are friendly and safe. Smile on every face On top of all that. Price is supper affordable. Will see you soon in the summer.

Update on last review — — I just called and voiced my complaints and said that there was a fraudulent charge on my credit card and was told that the manager was not there so there was no one I could talk to until tomorrow morning because the manager had left. The person at the front desk was unsympathetic and not concerned that they 1) lied on the reservation and 2) appear to have illegally charged my credit card. Scam alert!

I doubt the floor staff who want to enter the room when we're not the. Without that we have put the sign up to clean the room! I do not recommend the classic rooms at least!

The rooms are full of mold! It stinks to the point my clothes kept the moldy smell for a week after washing them twice! What a disappointing place to stay… I wanted a romantic getaway and did not find it here. For God's sake DONT STAY HERE! there are 35 other hotels within 0.5km. i garantie most of the good reviews are fake.

Good hotel. The receptionist could speak English, French and Spanish. Very good for tourists who do not speak any language. The place is very nice, as is expected in old Québec.

Very nice room on the floor, not very large but perfect for one night. Very nice rooftop Spa. Very well placed in the old Quebec. On the other hand, breakfast not very good and expensive.

Execrable…
I lived in this hotel an experience that could be described as execrable.
Apparently, at the Hotel Acadia a Signature room corresponds to a dingy, dark, and damp basement… For more than 150 dollars a night, is simply unacceptable! There was insects dried in the bathroom, which is not very romantic. The room was also very noisy, since all the noise affect in a basement!
And what to say… terrible service. No help for luggage and after eight hour the receptionist was in a t-shirt, talking with a friend of his. At the end of the stay the receptionist just to collect the Bill without us asking if we had enjoyed our stay…
There was also a hot breakfast in the package. I've never eaten also hurt in my life… Everything just disgusting.
How this property to t — does he receive 3 stars… Avoid this place at all costs.

Be careful when you book. They have some rooms in the basements, which are smelly and with mold.

This hotel is one of four properties owned by the same company (Hotel Nouvelle-France), that are all located within steps of each other. Although it is confusing to some, the check-in lobby for all four is here at the Hotel Acadia. Parking is, as one would expect, interspersed around the area, so valet service is included in the price for parking. The hospitality at this hotel is commendable; our handful of unusual requests were all accommodated with a smile, including the difficult task of parking our camping trailer down the nearby narrow alleyway (a challenge taken by the valet with cheerful aplomb). The hotel is centrally located on a quiet side street, and every inch of it’s being is as old and charming as one would expect in Vieux-Quebec. Our room was simply beautiful: large, operable transom windows look over the street, casting light on the cozy interior, filled with solid wood furniture. A decent breakfast buffet is offered at a nearby restaurant, and was included in the price of the room. The only criticism I can think of is that the water temperature is unpredictable, and the bathroom is quite small. But if I had the fortunate opportunity to spend a long period of time in Quebec, I would make this my home. 9/10.

Authentic little hotel that feels a bit like fawlty towers with all the creek stairs. Location is awesome for being both quiet but within the old town, near the fort. Room was small, especially bathroom but this added to the charm and frankly is what one gets in old, unabused buildings.

We were in Quebec for 2 nights and did become aware about our travel organisation at the hotel.
The room was very clean and bright on the 2nd floor, and had air conditioning, as well as the ability to open the window (that long not everywhere was the case in the hotels of Canada).
The team was very friendly and knowledgeable.
In the price included breakfast at a nearby restaurant (3 min. Walk) was coupons for shopping and spa treatments, a free usable Spa in the hotel under the umbrella as well as free Wi-Fi.
We are very excited and recommend the hotel anyway.

This company seems to run multiple hotels in some sort of sly way. The address that I was given by the website I booked this hotel with was wrong. I walked around for half an hour in the rain. The best the receptionist could offer was free breakfast. Give me a break. There were pubes on the "sealed" toilet.
