Very good location. Old but cozy. There are no elevators. There's a patio. You can eat at the Champlain Hotel, a nearby house. It's one small network. The rooms are small — the guests are mostly quiet and calm. Cleaning in the rooms is daily. Changing bed linen every three days. In one of the rooms on the third floor there is a balcony (theoretically you can not smoke there, but if quiet then it is possible). TV in every room. There's an iron.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service! Staff were nice and the beds were very comfortable with memory foam padding. Very quaint and in a great location. It's been kept up to date with modern conveniences yet still retains its charming historic aesthetic. Staff speak fluent English, which they prompted us to use as our French is broken and hardly understandable (though we tried). Overall, we had a great stay!

Experience very unpleasant place unsanitary use badly form. False information. Dirty everywhere refused to give us the car keys we reserve 2 months in advance and we have no room to ask. And we refuse to repay! shabby service, very disappointed marde jdois pay for an insalubw room that I did not stay in. Impossible to rwjoin the boss of the place. Never seen his MQ life!

"Meh" on the service… actually it was even very "meh". I was told only once I checked in that I would need to find my own parking for my motorbike because I wasn't allowed to park in their lot. The location, however, was perfect. The room was cute and clean.

Great location, ok prices, decent rooms. Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff who allowed us to check in early and then helped us call the bus station to check on status of bus in the snow storm. Would stay here again if I return! Do note that it is a small, old hotel with no lifts and many stairs so be prepared to climb with your bags. We had backpacks so it wasn’t a problem although manoeuvring around the corridors were tricky with large bags.

Great location. That's the best thing about this place. Cons: The woman checking us in was very rude The room was not the cleanest. The extra blanket for use was UNDER the bed, which did not make us want to use it. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Because this is a very old old building, the room slants, which I obviously don't fault, but it does make sleeping and walking around tricky, just be aware. Also, the heating system in the hotel is inconsistent, to say the least. Even when we controlled the temp, we were throwing the sheet off and then back on 10 minutes later due to the fluctuations in temperature. Small room, but it will do for 2 people. The woman checking us out was lovely, a nice change from the woman from the prior day (wish I had names! )

Good location. Large room on the other hand a small downside … TV that doesn't really work… but it doesn't matter what the holidays are ^^

Close to the historic sites. By walk you can visit almost all of them. The rooms are clean but one can easily hear everything happening in the next room! Everything! until 3 am couldn't sleep for the noise in next room. To save space, they have put every thing next to eachother in a small room, we couldn't even walk in the room.

Simple hotel as we expected, but room has good size and very clean. We stayed at the room with private bath which was well equipped with great shower and deep bathtub. The common are was good for the type of hotel but the machines would take one dollar coins which made hard for us to get our snacks. The coffee machine wasn't refilled properly during our stay so I waisted two bucks for nothing which was refunded by the hotel staff. The location is excellent and close to everything you might want to visit. Overall a good experience for a stay on the budget.

Very warm service. You get what you pay for. Very clean, very good location.

The hotel is quite old and there is a stale smell. We had a very basic small room. The breakfasts are served in a restaurant much farther away which is very convenient.

Messy room: cut beard hairs and dirt in the tub and washbasin clogged with toothpaste when we arrive. The bedspread was stained with blood! I've notified four different employees before we finally come to change the Bedspread. Compensation offered by the receptionist: reduction of $20 on a two-night stay. Ridiculous. A hotel worthy of the name must offer a spotless place even if it is classified only two Stars. Plus it's small and Noisy. Never again!

Lovely little older but updated hotel within the city walls. Quiet with a nice shared courtyard. A wonderful choice in old Quebec city.

La chambre était propre. On a pas ete déranger par aucun bruit des voisins. Mais le climatiseur est centrale, donc il faisait trop chaud a mon gout pour dormir mais je pouvais pas regler la temperature de la piece. Et la temperature de l'eau dans la douche est tres instable. Je vous recommande quand meme cet hotel car c'étais propre et le service courtois.

Just for the location I give two stars, the room is terrible.

The hotel is in a very old building. The hotel has nice stone walls and is located in a great location. The room I stayed in didn't appear to have AC, the bathroom was very small, and the toilet didn't flush. Being a very old building, there is no elevator, the stairs are a bit wonky, there is no ice machine etc.

Right in the heart of Old Quebec. 5 minutes walking from all the major attractions, and it's pet friendly! Not the best looking on the inside, front desk is in a different building, and steep stairs to go up. Still give it a thumbs up.

Quaint and decent decor, but hard to access, small and no AC.

Extremely dirty (really gross), not friendly reception staff — and totally not what the webpage shows (completely false publicity). Do not book here. Not worth it.

Very good location when you visit Quebec. The rooms remain all the same low end for the price. For one to two night this is doable, for a longer stay I do not advise.

We're in room 21… Here for our 10th anniversary. … "THIS" is our paris. Upon arrival champagne was on ice in our room.
Super clean, comfy king bed. Very quint room.
Staff… You ring, they come.

Across the street is Morrin center. Must visit 11$. Dinner Chez Boulay, coffee (maison Smith)
Beer at Irish pub.
Old Quebec, new Quebec… Love love.
Tip: if maid don't come to clean (were staying 2days so I don't want her to) save 5$… Tell reception.
Tip: parking here 23$/day.

A rustic, cute hotel in a wonderful location. A clean room with a nice and calming atmosphere. Parking was the only issue, but we chose to pay for it along a perpendicular street.

Downtown old Québec. Ideal when walking.

I've traveled a lot and stayed in everything from 1 star to 5 star hotels but this was probably one of the worst. It's in a great location & has clean rooms but won't stay here again. The walls are super thin and if you have a problem the night staff won't do anything about it. Several times when we got our 'white' towels 'changed' they weren't exactly all that clean. There was stains and hair on them. On several occasions our room was not cleaned until after 15h00 (3pm). If you are going to stay here I highly recommend that you call the hotel and request a room not on the first floor; you can hear every step the people make on the floor above you.

Good points:
-Good location. However need a GPS to be sure to not get lost.
-Small and friendly.
-Free Wifi, Videotron Tv, small fridge, home gas (atmosphere and heating)
Bad points:
-Very little room in the parking lot of the hotel, ban parking on the street without a sticker so no choice than to pay the valet service to $23 + txs by days
-Means all. The evening and the morning when people walk in the stairwell or to
the upper floor… It wakes up!
-Very small toilet. Can't be 2 to prepare at the same time…

It's a very small hotel, but extremely cozy. It's so small, the reception desk is at the adjacent hotel.

The room was small but very adequate. And it was clean and smelled good. We overlooked the garden and it was so typical of those in France. Loved it. It was convenient to everything. We will definitely be back with our big family. This was a cherished holiday!

I agree with Thomas Bichler's review. Writing this from the Jardin right now :)

The room I got was extremely small. I couldn't even open the bathroom door without banging into something. There is no climate control. One day it was hot, the next it was freezing. The walls are paper thin and you could clearly hear anytime someone walked up the creaky stairs. No fan in the bathroom. There was an 8" x 8" square hole cut into the sheetrock behind the bed, and no telling what kind of bugs or animals in there. For $130 per night, I expected something more than a broom closet with a bathroom.

Very good hotel, only complaint was the room size was a little small. Wonderful other than that.
