Relatively cheap. Rooms are clean and service is good. Good breakfast choice. Nice pool. Overall very satisfied.

I got stuck here for a night when my flight was cancelled, and this place was actually lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and in good shape, and the setting was beautiful. There was a dock with river access right behind my room. If I'd had more time I would've taken out one of the canoes they offer to guests. When it was time for my flight I actually wanted to stay longer.

We don't like to pay this much for a 1 night sleep before the airport, but because of graduation the rates were very high and we only stayed here because everywhere else was sold out already; but we were glad that we did. At first sight I admit I thought it was a pretty run down motel. Our room was a great location! We had room 349 on the river at the end of the complex (the only available room). There is a back deck with sliding doors off both the LR and the bedroom — so perfect and a lovely setting with the river & trees behind and along the side. It is like a small apartment with lots of closets, large jacuzzi tub and separate toilet/sink room (which was so handy). The bedroom was a separate room that could be closed off to the living and kitchen area. I wished that we could have stayed there for a few days rather than 1 night because of the setting. The only downside was neither of the sliding doors operated properly and need to be upgraded. We had to fight with them to open and get outside on the deck, but so worth it to sit out there and enjoy the morning sun! I would definitely stay there again if it wasn't so expensive.

Very good service. They were able to accommodate my team for a last minute boardroom booking. It’s too bad there isn’t a catering service available and food has to be pre-ordered at the bar for lunch.

The staff was very helpful upon check-in. Room service is available, although I never used it upon my stay I would expect it to be excellent and efficient. Great place to wake up in the morning, putting aside the "make your own waffle" and option to upgrade the breakfast, the beds and air conditioning systems ensured that I was gonna have a refreshing sleep for the next days travel. There is a Tim Hortens right next door, but I never checked it out. That may be an attraction for some, but for me was the River view and the feeling of being out doors, not being in a city. Can't wait to come back. It is also a great feeling to have when you are amongst friends.

Would not recommend purely based on the fact that their so called free breakfast starts too late at 7am… I have to be at work at 7 so I cannot use it. Everywhere else I stay it starts at 6. It just makes me feel that the owners are lazy and would rather sleep in than make sure a hard working tax paying man has breakfast.

Nothing around here. Good luck if you don't have a car. But they do have free airport shuttle.

So far, so good! We're planning a wedding and have so far been impressed with their dedication and level of detail, and the excellent food! Will update after the big event!

Decent sized, clean rooms with very cute views of the river. Stayed one night, their breakfast is decent.

Stay here quite frequently while I'm in Ottawa for work. Rooms have been updated and offer a great desk space for those working on the road. Only downside of this hotel is if you're on the 1st of 2 floors. It will be loud with guests above.

Well priced food and attentive staff. On Senators game nights they have some good promotions too!

Older building with semi updated rooms. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back which I haven't had in a long time. Hard to set temperature in room. Temperature control is a dial with no numbers on it… or 19° can't be determined. Seems to always be coming on every couple minutes which makes it hard to watch TV. And the walls are paper thin so I don't want to disturb the guests in the other rooms. Nice enough rooms. Updated rooms. A large group of us stayed here for long periods of time. I stayed 30 days. Other guys stayed longer, some shorter. Staff are great. Always trying to be helpful. (Try to keep more change on hand for the one and only washer dryer on site) The restaurant is fantastic. Food is great and tasty. Even if you don't stay at the hotel the restaurant is worth checking out. For me personally, I can't recommend staying here again. I found the bed too uncomfortable and the fridge too small. I already told my supervisor if I were to come back for work I'm not staying here. In my building the rooms are updated. The wall paper is peeling at every seem but it's still a nice-ish room. Not really anything close by by foot that you can go check out. You need a vehicle. I bet in the summer time it would be nice place to stay.

Room was great. Checking was super quick. Got a room with a balcony and a view of the river. Great location close to everything we needed.

Very unfortunate experience. The room we were given (314) had a very poor heating and ventilation system. While the room setup was nice and everything was very clean, the heating made it nearly impossible to stay. Only one heater is in the room with no thermostat. It can be set to "cooler" or "warmer", (on a blue and red spectrum specifically). Unfortunately it is right beside one of the beds so during our two nights, whoever slept beside the heater received a blast of air all night. No one slept. It was either too cold or too hot. The heater itself, without a thermostat readout was impossible to control. The room was so dry that everything was charged with static electricity. The walls are also paperthin and after nights of no sleep we were woken up by stomping neighbours above and around is. Be aware this is an older series of buildings. They have not renovated these buildings in a way that suits the Ramada brand. Beautiful location that is very convenient to the airport and Barrhaven/Napean. Perhaps our stay was the exception and not the rule, but I did not sleep for two nights because of one of the worst heating systems I've ever experienced.

Messy room, non-professional service.

Paper thin walls and ceiling. I was woken up every night by the person above me walking. Floors were so thin/creaky it sounded like the person was tap dancing. Also, walls are so thin you can hear the person in the room next to you go to the washroom. Gross. Im also not even being dramatic. I could hear the person beside me sigh/breathe, that's how thin the walls were. Almost feels like an invasion of privacy when you can hear that much. Super uncomfortable.

Venue was nice, however they rented out our room before we had checked out! We still had things in the room. Unacceptable.

Room was nice and well laid out with the limited space. Staff were very friendly. The room had a peculiar smell upon entry and lacked USB ports or free electrical outlets by the bed but those were minor complaints. We enjoyed our stay overall.

My father is currently staying here for a few days for a business trip. Even though the doors are an interesting shade of brown and it is in the direct flightpath of most of the Ottawa airplanes, the room itself was very pleasant. It did not have a safe but it did look very comfortable. Overall it seemed like a very good compromise and was very close to hogsback and colonol by so it was easy for him to get downtown.

Clean rooms. Rooms are not exactly how they are depicted in photos on the hotel website. Food in the restaurant is good. Hotel has a heated outdoor pool.

Nice property next to the river with canoes and kayaks for rent. The rooms are spacious and clean. Good sized pool with small hot tub, sauna and workout room in another building. The food is excellent. It's off the beaten path and 15 minutes from Ottawa but a real gem if you want some natural surroundings. It is on the flight path for the Ottawa airport but the planes aren't anymore annoying than the sounds and sirens you get in a city hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel! Staff were amazing and fixed a small issue we had within minutes! Rooms are great. Highly recommend the River View Rooms!

Pics online are better than what's actually there. Only 1 towel per person in the room. Continental breakfast was very limited. Tables not wiped while desk manager stood by and no coffee available which leads me to believe it wasn't being monitored. Waffle maker had not been cleaned in some time either. Ok for one night but would not plan more than that.

Great location, the rooms are clean and a good size. I like how each room is accessible from outside and has a nice big outdoor pool area. Only 4 stars because I would have liked more options on the breakfast.

I happened to be driving by stopped in for a drink, ordered a beer decided to order some food… Wish I wouldn't of that's where things got bad, the food was cold not tasty at all and frankly looked wrong, tried to speak to bartender about it but nothing was done so after couple bites I couldn't eat it anymore so I don't suggest anybody eat there as for the hotel part I can't say anything as I never stayed there but DONT EAT HERE!

Nice clean rooms, plenty of parking space for my trailer which was perfect. Friendly staff and a good complimentary breakfast. Location was awesome overall very enjoyable stay.

Nice place inexpensive. Nice enough free breakfast. Can't complain about anything really, I could hear other rooms getting ready in the morning but it didn't really bother me.

It's close to the airport & they have an airport shuttle so that's good. You have to call the hotel and it'll be there in 10 minutes. They didn't salt the street in front of the rooms and it was very slippery.

I attended a business function at the newly renovated Ramada and was very impressed with the hotel. The event included a meet and greet at the bar with hor d'oeuvres, an AGM in the lower level, and then a dinner in the dining room. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was delicious, and the decor was fantastic. I highly recommend this venue for business functions as well as weddings. It seems rather inconspicuous when you are driving by but it is a beautiful spot.

My wife and I have stayed here twice, once with our teenage daughter. The rooms are clean, recently remodelled, and the staff is friendly. The restaurant was being remodelled during our first stay but the complimentary continental breakfast served in the lobby had plenty of freshly baked items. During our second stay, the complimentary breakfast was served in the comfortable dining area next to the new lobby. For an additional small charge we upgraded to a full breakfast which was delicious. Well worth it. There is a Tim Horton's next door is you prefer. Our room both times overlooked the Rideau Canal. The beds are comfortable. It is near the airport so there is some take-off and landing noise during the morning and early evening hours. It is not near downtown but still easy to get to. Parking is free. We have booked our third stay.

Nice staff and decent rooms.

Had our wedding guests stay here. It was flexible, accommodating and just right for a good time. Nothing crazy special but nice management and decent rooms. I would recommend for a wedding reception.

My family and I spent three days here and two nights. As we decided to visit Ottawa for a few days. I had checked out some hotels on the net for what we were looking for this one seems to be it. The rooms were clean. I really wouldn't call it a hotel more like an up scale motel. The front desk were very nice and pleasant to deal with. As it was a very hot evening the first night the air conditioner wasn't working so well. They found a fan for us to circulate the air. Once the evening cooled down it was cold in the room. Lol. Yes it was 40 or more with the humid-ex so I don't think anyone's air conditioner any were would be working to good. It was very quite as the fireworks were going off in areas near by really couldn't hear them in the room. I think the pool needs to be the next up date to this hotel. The restaurant was pricey and no kids meals. We had drinks then went else where wasn't to happy. over all we had a nice stay and it was a short drive to down town Ottawa. We would say there again for sure.

Worst hotel stay in over 20 years. First room was in the un-renovated building. Room smelled badly of mildew. Killed several bugs within the first minutes. Decor and furniture looked like it was 50+ years old and never been cleaned. Horrible. Was offered room in one of the updated buildings. Huge improvement (like the room on the website) but still had a faint smell. Found out the second night that the walls had zero noise insulation when noisy neighbours moved in. The free continental breakfast was very sparse. Not enough enough food. The second morning, it was moved into a very small room where there wasn't room for more than 10 people. The guests had to take turns eating. Outdoor pool couldn't be used due to dirty water. Fitness room and mini hot tub was in an isolated room in the basement — didn't look safe to use. At least the people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I feel sorry for them.
