Good location right off 417, clean an spacious hotel and rooms. Free parking and breakfast make this a great value. We also are at the Bistro in the conference centre and were most impressed with the gourmet, close to the best lamb iv ever had and the fillet mignon was equally excellent.

Loved the hotel. A major step up from our previous hotel in Ottawa, It was very organized and clean. The room decor was very old fashioned, but it was spacious and cozy. I also loved that here was underground parking, and that there were carts for our bags accessible in the basement. Breakfast was great, and so was the pool. Would definitely stay again.

Great room, clean and comfortable for my whole family. I found the Staff to be very friendly and very willing to assist with our every need. The Location is perfect for seeing the sights and there are a large selection of restaurants nearby. Checked into our rooms with no hassle at all. Underground parking is available and it is very well lighted.

Nice large clean rooms. Underground parking and our F150 fit down there! Pool was lovely. Breakfast was pretty good.

Rooms were more than satisfying. The sofa bed not so comfortable. Pillows were missing for the sofa bed. Indoor parking is a great plus … except when it becomes full, then you need to use the outdoor space at the back of the building. Complementary breakfast is varied and very good. Staff is very friendly, especially the lady who runs the breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor.

To watch TV call the front desk. They will send up a guy in about 10 or 15 minutes. He will screw with your set until you get a picture. Two nights in a row. You could be in Russia! Big room. Good king size bed. Great shower.

This hotel is great! Wonderful staff very friendly and helpful with my kids! I definitely recommend this place. Very convenient location and nice pool!

Good service, the rooms were nice and clean. No real complaints and a solid choice for an overnight stay.

Rooms are severely outdated and there is no store, only vending machines. A remodel is badly needed. I had a large group of high school students on my floor making lots of noise. I complained to the front desk and they took care of me right away. They moved me to the hospitality suite and I ended up having a pleasant sleep. Staff is too notch but facilities are lacking greatly.

Hotel a bit dated and not very well located if the goal is to spend time in downtown Ottawa. There is also no restaurant within walking distance from the hotel.

We liked the location and easy access to main access routes. Parking garage and a large parking lot, all free. Spacious rooms with kitchenette. Breakfast included.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds. Just a small addition to my original review. The kitchen staff was amazing. Being Celiac I choose what I eat wisely, not knowing the ingredients in the breakfast Food I spoke with kitchen staff and they gave me very clear ingredient lists and even bought gluten free bread for me. Keep in mind I was there for almost 2 months and every day they had the bread I could eat, toasted it in a seperate oven and most of all were very friendly. These were items they did for me and were not asked of them. Thank you!

The room was very nice but we weren't able to make it cool enough for our comfort. Very warm. Poor Internet connection. Lovely, large bathroom, but needs a fan.

For the price we paid for a hotel near downtown Ottawa, the Hampton Inn was great. First and foremost, it has a secure underground garage parking! My husband and I just happened to overhear another guest who got lucky to get his car back after it was stolen while being in Ottawa, so having a secure parking garage was a peace of mind. The room was very big and had a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub (small though). The staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I only spent 2 nights and 3 days there and agreed that we would book again at the Hampton, even though it's a bit more expensive than the cheap hotels listed, but worth every penny for safety, security, cleanliness, and comfort.

This hotel needs renovation. Rooms are outdated. Gym urgently needs new machines. Treadmills are about to fall apart. Breakfast is nothing special and if you stay for a long time, you are going to be bored. Tip: avoid 4th floor, it has a strong smell of Cl from swimming pool. Rates from the rooms are going up and down… Keep it in mind and check 48 hr prior arrival, you may save some $.

Positive: — A very clean room, equipped with a fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine, and also a TV, drawers and a cupboard. — The bathroom was huge, really impressed, also very clean (iron and dryer included) + lots of towels. — Clean gym and contains the base, which is pretty good. There is also a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. — Free Lunch + free Parking Negative: — The breakfast fruit was not fresh.

Clean and spacious room & washroom, we got the king size with pull-out sofa bed. The interior is a bit outdated but overall a decent room. I really like the fact that they have a big kitchenette with microwave & fridge. The highlight is the free full Hampton Inn breakfast. They had coffee, teas, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, bread, yogurt, fruit salad and waffle maker.

Room was clean. Tv selection was a bit limited. Free Internet was decent. Breakfast was simple but effective. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Simple modern hotel, big, clean rooms with tons of cupboards for some reason. Breakfast was good, fresh, varied and all you can eat. Pool is great although not particalarly big or deep. Same for the hot tub. Parking is free, and underground. would go back without hesitation.

The service was reduced given it was Xmas day how ever, the staff on hand was extremely pleasant to deal with. The rooms where clean and ready for us when we arrived. I look forward to staying with them again.

The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is varied, and offered on the ground floor, and upstairs if crowded. The hotel has a swimming pool and offers underground parking. The staff are attentive. The hotel is just a few steps from a shopping area (Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Starbuck, …), and very easy to reach (near 417).

I attended an event for the public by the city. There was lots of room. Staff was very help. Lots of parking. We even has lunch and the service was great. No complaints here.

Really good room and facilities. The breakfast was very good as well. The only thing was that the washroom did not have any exhaust and for an upgraded hotel like this the air conditioning machine was very old and made weird sounds for adjusting temperatures. Parking was complimentary and underground.

The rooms are very spacious, beds a comfy, breakfast is great, but the only downfall was our first night had teen boys jumping around in the room above us at midnight. Staff addressed the issue two times with the room above and we requested a new room the following morning. Everything was great after. Would definitely stay again.

An easy access hotel conveniently located just minutes from Parliament Hill. Enjoyed three nights in the Ottawa area. Heard a couple of sirens overnight and the bed wasn't great; it was okay. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean room. Overall, would recommend to others and would stay here again.

We are enjoying our stay here. Not too far from downtown but far enough to be relaxing. Staff has been helpful. When I had an issue they took care of it straight away Free breakfast is yummy.

I had a great experience at the Hampton Inn hotel! The staff were friendly and the hotel in general was quiet. The hotel rooms are quite spacious (I stayed in a double bed room with three people). There is free coffee and tea in the lobby (which is great! ) and there is also a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge in the hotel room. It was easy finding a cab outside the hotel to explore Ottawa (about a $16 ride from the hotel to the downtown core). The free breakfast (which was on either the second or main floor) was delicious (try the waffles! ). I am docking one star from this review for a few reasons: -the parking lot was tricky to enter -the dated decor -the hotel pens suck Other than that, our stay was pleasant. If you're visiting downtown Ottawa primarily, this hotel isn't for you! Unless you like parking in downtown Ottawa…

I had a pleasant time staying here for two nights. Complimentary breakfast was available included hot and cold food. Complimentary coffee machine also available in the lobby offer free coffee and hot tea. The room was spacious for three of us. There is also additional sink to use outside the bathroom.

The room was very good.

I definitely enjoyed my stay. The rooms were nice, and the included breakfast was surprisingly satisfying. The location is pretty convenient too, with the mall and plenty of food nearby. It's not as close to downtown Ottawa as expected, though. But that's easily solved by a rental car.

The room was fine but when I wanted to take my shower one of the towels smelled bad.

We were not sure or relocating the parking, eventually we saw it was in an underground parking lot. We liked this arrangement very much. Our room was large, with a microwave and a small sink. There were stations to connect our cells. It took no time to free the rooms and they allowed us to continue to park in the underground parking lot even at our conference.

Attended this hotel for a work-related conference. The decor is clean and modern. There are multiple conference rooms that expand to different sizes. The catering for breakfast, lunch and snacks was tasty and professional.

Original room assigned had terrible BO smell and when we asked front desk if we could switch rooms, we were informed that there were no more rooms left in our room category. After the receptionist spoke with her manager, they provided is a room with an upgrade without problems and even followed up with us after we settled in. At breakfast I was trying to get food for myself and my 2 kids — a staff member noticed and got me a tray from the kitchen. Overall a very good experience.

Nice hotel. Internet is mediocre. It works for browsing but not super fast. Seems to work okay with Netflix though. Pool is small but wasn't something I'm too bothered about. Laundry option is nice but for some reason the vending machine with all the chocolate is in there so its all melted.

Location is inconvenient. Nothing nearby. Service was OK, there was an elevator broken for most of my stay making getting up and down to my room frustrating.

Must see the 15th-floor pool and the gym: wow!
Only fly in the ointment: the lift that gave headaches!
She did not stop on our floor despite our calls.
When we were inside: she stopped at every 2 floors for nothing!
And then 3 elevators for a 15-storey hotel is not enough in my opinion.

Stayed for 5 days and we loved it. We would deffinatly come back. The pool is warm and hot tub is hot. The pool is a little small but great. The gym was okay too one treadmill didn't work. Only thing didn't like was there was no fan or circulation in the gym. All the staff were super friendly and kind. Always asking how are day was and everything. The breakfast was good to. Loved how the hot breakfast changed everyday. My favorite was the omelettes and bacon and the breakfast sausage. Loved the waffles too. Was just all good. The rooms were great lots of room, fridge and microwave. Big bathroom. We would stay here again family of 4 kids (4&7) thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Just love the way the room is set up with the little kitchen. No we didn't have a fireplace or a jacuzzi but a nice big clean room. Lots of food to choose from at breakfast and the coffee was so good I didn't have to add sugar to it. The staff was good and very helpful. Overall a good experience.

Hotel itself is fine. A bit dated but adequate. Location is great, parking is incredible. I have stayed here on 5 different occasions this year. The internet though will make you feel like it is 1999. If you want upgraded internet it is 4.99 a day. It works no better than the base internet. Both internet options are complete rubbish. Your connection will disconnect every 5 minutes and force you to reconnect to the wireless network. I have tried on two different laptops, a tablet and two cell phones. You will not be able to watch videos on either option, paid or other wise. I feel like plugging my computer into a potato would provide a more stable connection than what is available. This will likely be my last stay at this hotel due to the internet alone. I feel like implementing Dial-up internet here would actually improve the connection. Hopefully you have data on your phone that you can connect through.

Great and honest staff — we had left some valuable jewlery and 2 days after check out they still had it and couriered to us. I thougth it was long gone.

I am totally frustrated by you people. I booked a room via Expedia for what I thought was 6 August leaving 7 August. I did this on Sunday 3 August. Unfortunately either the software didn't work right or I punched in the wrong month. As soon as I received the e-mail confirmation I realized the error and started phoning. I phoned the hotel first and was told that I had to deal with Expedia. So I called Expedia (this was all within about 20 minutes of the original mistake). They spoke to the hotel as well and were told that there was nothing to be done other than pay a substantial penalty. The Expedia guy told me to call back the next day since sometimes it is difficult to get things done on a Sunday. So I did and was told that nothing could be done, that the 6th was already fully booked and that anyway there would be a penalty to pay. I am a Hilton Honours member and have been for a number of years. My number is 434964353. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn on Coventry Rd. Many times in the past, usually booking directly. But I have just stayed for the last time. I find this unacceptable, it is clear that it was an honest mistake and not an attempt to endrun the system. I will be posting this to Trip Advisor in the very near future. I guess I still have a reservation on 6 September but am very unlikely to use it. And I travel often to Ottawa for business and to see the Senators. There are lots of other choices and I will start to take advantage of them.

My main reason for picking this hotel was that it is attached to the conference centre I needed to be at. The rooms are a good size but are quite dated and are due for a refresh. The fitness centre is small but has decent equipment. One redeeming factor is that the hotel has underground parking but it does fill up. I will try other hotels in Ottawa before I come back here.

Free garage parking is awesome. As is the decently equipped fitness room. Breakfast is about what you'd expect. The location is prefect though. Close to downtown and the freeway, but in a quiet area. The front staff is also very helpful.

No fan in bathrooms, fridge didn't work but was replaced (after losing my leftover pizza). Overall though with the free breakfast and nice parking garage this place is a great value.
