Great place, my first B & B. Leaving out one star because I didn't know I'd have a suite not advertised on website. The owner was really nice so I didn't want to hurt her feelings and tell her. She makes a great breakfast but it would be nice to have her wonderful coffee later too. She's a great host, friendly, interesting, and professional.

Lions head bnb was such a wonderful experience. Helena is a great host and made our night in niagra so comfortable. The rooms are quaint and beautifully furnished and the breakfast was delicious. Also had a lot of fun meeting some of the other guests. Overall a memorable experience.

My wife and I stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lion's Head Bed & Breakfast. Our host/Inkeeper, Helen was delightful. Very personable and great to chat with about the area hot spots or travel in general. She was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable in her beautiful Victorian home. There is free parking out back and it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Falls. Our room had it's own bathroom with shower and the bed was very comfortable. Key highlights: — The breakfasts are absolutely amazing. Helen is a fantastic chef and you will not be disappointed. — Quite area with easy access to the Falls. — Beautiful historic building.

Our stay at Lions Head B&B was pretty spectacular. It was comfortable, welcoming, clean, and breakfast was amazing. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and I loved the bathroom. Helena is a gracious host. It was a pleasure talking to her over breakfast. She recommended that we go to Niagara on the Lake and she definitely did not steer us wrong.

If I could do 6/5 stars I would! Room — very clean, super comfortable bed with fresh linens, en suite bathroom was excellent! Big shower, fresh towels, beautiful design. Food — Delicious hot breakfast prepared each morning. We had bacon, eggs, local tomatoes, English muffin and fruit. Helena, the innkeeper is incredible! Very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. We had plenty of privacy. We will be back & will be recommending to friends!

The owner is hilarious and adorable. We stayed in the king suite. TV, king size bed, private bathroom and couch. Very cozy with it's own fireplace heater if needed in the winter. Breakfast everyorning is AMAZING. The owner was a professional chef, and it shows. She does an amazing job. Very close to Niagra falls and Clifton Hill. Walking distance.

Very quaint, attractive establishment! The are very clean and unique! Helena is a very friendly social person, who's vast knowledge of Niagara and the surrounding area really add the the enjoyment of your stay. The breakfast was outstanding! Perfect location, most things are within walking distance. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and just stayed here for the first time July 2017. I have always wanted to stay at a B & B. Helena is great! Food is great! Our room (s) were the third floor. Very private and very comfortable. Our king bed was one of the more comfortable ones we've slept on besides our own.

Our stay at the Lion's Head Bed and Breakfast was an absolute dream! Helena was the perfect host and made our weekend a perfect getaway! Her knowledge of Niagara was very extensive, and she was a wonderful story teller. She's quirky and kind, and feels like a mother figure during your stay. She had plenty of recommendations for us and made sure we made ourselves at home with her. In a very close second to Helena's hospitality was the fabulous breakfasts every morning. Truly gourmet! This B&B is clean, cozy, and comfortable, with a historic feel. I will most definitely return! A 5 star in our books!

The Lion's Head Bed and Breakfast was the perfect location for walking everywhere around Niagara and the perfect laid back atmosphere we were looking for for our Anniversary. Helena's breakfasts were exquisite and the conversation was interesting and gave us new plans for trip there. We were able to come and go as we pleased, we had free run of the home, and I was able to sit on the front porch swing drinking a scotch smoking a Cuban cigar watching 20+ minutes of fireworks on the American side. Helena keeps a clean and tidy home, yet she is as entertaining as she is carefree. We really enjoyed our stay at the Lions Heab B&B! I would highly recommend staying here over any of the much more expensive Fallsview Hotels. When we come back, the Lions Head will be our home base for any trip to Niagara!

WOW! Is all I can say to begin this review! What an incredible experience! Helena is an amazing hostess. As soon as we arrived, she made us feel right at home. We stayed for 3 nights. Our room (and ensuite bathroom) was absolutely beautiful (the Van Gogh Room), clean, wonderfully decorated and so comfortable! This was our first Bed and Breakfast stay and both my husband and I are so happy we chose the Lion's Head B&B instead of a hotel! What a personable and enjoyable time we had! The breakfast was out of this world! I'm not speaking lightly, each day was a gourmet 5-star breakfast, like nothing you have ever tasted before. Absolutely delicious! Helena is an incredible chef and took great care in accommodating to my special dietary restrictions. The house is a beautiful place decorated with incredible artifacts and pieces from Helena's travels around the world. She provided incredible tips and advice on different must-see sights and tourist attractions that helped make our trip the best! We had such an amazing time, and the Lion's Head is so close to The Falls and Clifton Hill, and all of the main attractions of Niagara Falls, we walked everywhere! It was so convenient! Yet also so peaceful and relaxing! Even sitting around the table each morning having breakfast with the different guests and listening to Helena's stories was an unforgettable experience. I recommend Lion's Head Bed & Breakfast 110%!

First time we have stayed at a B&B in Niagara and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lions Head is a beautiful house, the rooms are lovely and the bed was quite comfortable. Helena served Eggs florentine Saturday and an amazing frittata for breakfast on Sunday. Helena is a great cook! She has some pretty amazing stories to share with her guests also. I would recommend Lions Head.

We were one of three couples visiting Niagara Falls over 4th of July weekend, driving in from different parts of Virginia and Kentucky. The other 2 couples chose to do a package deal about a mile away at a big chain hotel; we chose the Lion's Head. After seeing and hearing about the Lion's Head in comparison with their "deal" and locale, it was clear that we definitely got a lot more for our buck. The Lion's Head B&B *made the trip* for us! First off — the B&B is located an easy 10-minute walk from the heart of the falls. While you're not staying right there in all of the action, I'm not sure that you really want to be (READ: pedestrians galore; traffic; chain restaurants; bars; tour buses; casinos; etc. ). This 10-minute walk takes you right along the Niagara River and provides some awesome and unhurried vantage points to the different falls. 1 mile up River Road (away from the falls) is Queen Street, a cute shopping and dining area another easy stroll from the Lion's Head (unless you've enjoyed one too many at Taps Brewing Company, then it's an easy stumble back). And just another 0.5 miles past Queen Street are the Whirlpool Rapids and aerial tram car, as well as a point to begin some great hiking down to the water. And of course, a car can easily take you wine tasting, to Niagara-on-the-Lake, to Toronto, and so on. The take away message: Lion's Head B&B is a perfect, quite location for your trip to Niagara Falls!

This was our first time in a Bed and Breakfast and I am so happy that I stayed here first! We had a small group with us, we took up three rooms and this was the perfect place to stay for our Niagara Falls vacation! We LOVED Helena — the innkeeper who was so personable and she gave us great tips on what to do and how to do it cheap! The inn was GORGEOUS, the rooms were so comfortable and elegant, we were so happy to have found her and this glorious inn! The breakfasts that Helena made were gourmet, everyday was a different surprise and there wasn't one thing we didn't love! We were in walking distance to the casino, the falls and to downtown, and close to Niagara on the Lake, honestly, after pricing the expensive hotels around the falls, this was absolutely the best location and value around.

Helena is THE best. Extremely hospitable person who takes great care of you. And gives you honest advice about what to do around the Falls. The house is superb. The rooms are completely renovated and modern and the bathrooms are the same. Breakfast was tasty and unique. It's only a 10 minute walk from the falls.

This was our 5th time staying at Lion's Head Bed and Breakfast. Helena Harrington, her beautiful home, and scrumptious breakfasts are the reasons we continue to return to Niagara Falls. Helena's knowledge of the area and suggestions of things to see and places to eat ensure that you will make the most of your vacation in Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. After a day filled with sightseeing, you will have a very restful night's sleep in Lion's Head's very comfortable beds. Then, in the morning, you are in for a real treat when you eat her delicious, gourmet breakfast. We love sitting on her veranda and relaxing at the end of the day. Every time we return to Lion's Head, it is like coming home. We can't wait until we come back again. Thank you, Helena, for another amazing stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay at Lion's Head B&B. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the Clifton Hill and Fallsview districts, but close enough to easily walk to both. The home is beautifully decorated throughout. Our room (Gauguin) had plenty of space and lovely furnishings. Helena, the owner and hostess, was friendly and eager to share her knowledge of the area. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent, and she also suggested some great scenic walks that we had not found in our trip planning process. Breakfast was delicious — a true highlight of our stay! I would definitely stay here again.

I really love this Bed and Breakfast. The hostess (Helena) is very welcoming and she made sure that my husband and I had a relaxing and comfortable stay. I was delighted to see that the bedrooms are named after famous artists which is in keeping with the layout of the house itself — very tastefully furnished with a lovely old world sensibility. Our room, the "Van Gogh", was very clean, comfortable and spacious with full en-suite bathroom facilities. I also enjoyed the breakfast which was nourishing, tasty and different each morning and was the perfect start to the day. I will definitely pay a return visit.

I stayed for 4 nights during a family get-together in Niagara and found Helena a truly amazing host, helpful, gracious, and efficient. Her breakfasts were the best I've ever had while on vacation (restaurant /B&B/hotel). French toast with blueberry compote and crispy bacon? Yum! The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable, immaculate. The overall space of the B&B is spacious and beautiful — — I loved spending time on the enormous porch and listening to the river just across the street. The location is perfect walking distance to all the sights, enough away from the bustle surrounding the falls, but only a short 10 minute walk. Thanks Helena, I can't wait to return.

This B&B delivers in top quality service, cosy rooms and tasty breakfasts. From the eggs benedict to the blueberry pancakes, every morning is a treat when you roll out of bed and leave your lap of luxury. Each room is named after a famous artist and the subtle way this is followed through to the paint on the walls, bed dressing and signature touches of each room is divine. Our stays at this vacation destination never fail to impress us. Sitting on the porch overlooking the famous gorge and listening to the distant roar of the great Falls is a truly great wonder to experience!
