Would not recommend to anyone, ever for any reason. I would rather sleep on the street than deal with their horribly rude and unhelpful staff.

Worst customer service ever! I will NEVER recommend another client book here again. Disgusting!

Fantastic hotel and great location!

Front staff on check in was amazing, hotel looked great… until we got to our room. Showed front desk the picture of the most disgusting bedsheet I have seen, was asked to send to their email and told management would be in touch… haven't heard anything. And I know they got the picture because the front desk staff confirmed it went through.

Honestly the rooms are decent, and the staff have been friendly. But last night woke up to a big bedbug, captured it in a cup. We were switched rooms and had to extend for another night or two on doctors orders to not travel home due to illness. Our discount we were offered is still more expensive than booking online. Otherwise a nice hotel, luggage locker is handy if you’re traveling.

Relaxing stay for four sleeps — great food from kitchen.

My hubby and I love staying at the Pantages Hotel when visiting Toronto. The staff is very friendly, rooms are nicely renovated and clean, and it's in a great location. I'm looking forward to our next visit back.

Had no Wi-Fi (from Australia so it was necessary) was told by a staff member it was our service provider’s fault. The next day we were told there was construction in the building that could be causing the issue. Inconveniently had to move rooms only to get Wi-Fi that was such terrible quality, not the high-speed we were told we would receive. Furthermore, the construction in the building kept us awake at 10pm one night and woke us at 7am the next morning. I have since been charged an undisclosed amount by Pantages, for which I can only imagine is for the $6 a day “high-speed” Wi-Fi we were promised. I am still disputing this — have sent an email and Facebook message and no one has bothered to respond. So disappointed — would not recommend!

Not safe to stay. Strangers can enter even come to your room. No security. In the lobby infront of reception we kept gift items waiting for uber, gift stolen with in seconds. We reported to reception to see security camera recording. Since no manager available we not able to see it. We send the complaint letter to the manager, he not even bother to reply. This hotel is not safe at all.

Stayed in a renovated suite and it was excellent.

Great end to the night of travel when we opened our door to our room. Concierge was friendly and the Front Desk Coordinator was great!

This is the fourth time a friend and I have stayed at our favourite hotel, The Pantages, for our yearly Christmas visit. Great location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, awesome shower heads, and friendly efficient staff make it our annual destination in Toronto!

Great location if you want to be in the center of the core. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. Gave us a upgraded room for free which is always nice. The room was a little dated but still clean and nice and had everything you needed.

Washer/dryer, nice shower, cook top, dishwasher, microwave, decent sized fridge. I was impressed with the amenities at such a reasonable price!

Be warned: this place has bedbugs and the staff is trained to deny accountability. Not only was the room dingy, dusty and outdated; there were broken fixtures, torn lampshade (?! ) and it was just overall sketchy and had an unclean feel to it. As soon as we turned light off, a BEDBUG crawled out of pillow encasement under my head! Thank goodness I was watching movie on phone and the blue light illuminated the creepy crawler's movement. The night manager was very rude and even got loud and disrespectful when notified of the situation! It was 4 a. M. And we left in our pajamas, two kids in tow. This brief stay was a not so welcome, "welcome" to first time Toronto visitors.

This hotel has A LOT of amenities for a great price. The rooms are a little bit dated in style but the 90s are hot right now so it's cool! Very close to the Eaton Centre, restaurants and the TTC subway and streetcars. Minutes from Union Station making for easy access to the airports and nearby cities. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Not the best combination of price and quality, but a great location.

Great location and great rooms. Only thing that disappointed me was the large amount of security they need to hold and other fees besides the room rates. They did have a nice water fountain as refreshment in the lobby during the summer.

Had a very pleasant stay at Pantages June 22 — June 23. Quick and patrons friendly check in, quiet, very clean room, comfortable bed. Reception desk staff is knowledgeable and courteous. The location of the hotel could not be better: numerous theatres all around, Eaton centre around the corner, St Michaels hospital across. Will definitely choose to Pantages again!

Front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. The suite was clean and the bed comfortable. Great location downtown close to shopping, restaurants, transit and entertainment.

I rarely write reviews, however I feel I need to in this case. This hotel doesn’t meet the standards AT ALL to be labeled a “4 Star Boutique Hotel”. The rooms are run down and outdated and the rooms that are being renovated are still missing the cleanliness and qualities to be considered 4 stars. There aren’t any towel hangers for the hand towels in the bathroom and the bathroom AC vents haven’t been cleaned. The windows aren’t completely sound proof and the noise from the street is clearly heard, especially if there’s a rock concert at the venue nearby. The pillow shams are smaller than the pillows and the pillows are of Poor quality. Antonio and Jessica at who were at the front desk when I arrived were very friendly and helpful. They changed my room From the outdated one to a renovated one. The Buffet breakfast is OK For the price but still Very basic (3 star hotel). I had Initially booked a room at the Westin Harbour Castle, but cancelled the reservation when I saw the pictures of the Pantages which seemed amazing for a similar price… bummer.

Clean, efficient, quiet, felt European. I stayed for 3 nights last week. On one morning I discovered a ceiling leak in the bathroom. I mentioned it to the front desk on the way to my meetings, and it was completely fixed (drywall, plumbing, quite extensive repair) by the time I returned at the end of the day. Not fancy, but definitely up to standard. My only complaint keeping me from giving 5 stars was the lack and poor placement of electrical outlets in the room. None were accessible from either the desk or the bedside tables.

Very nice, good service but floating floor not well installed.

Location is central, soundproofing to outside noise great, inside noise less so. Staff are very pleasant. Nice to have the kitchen and laundry options. Furniture and floors very utilitarian. Addition of power cord extension with USB options would be super helpful for desk area.

Our flight to Calgary was cancelled on Sunday night so I called this hotel from the airport on Monday around 2:30am and asked for a room, the rep on the phone said yes we have two rooms and we can take you no reservation is required, we arrived at the hotel around 3:30am exhausted and looking forward to have a few hours of rest before heading back to the airport around 10am, the front desk reps were courteous but they struggled with your booking system, after 45min we were told that we couldn't stay at the hotel because they were unable to book a room for us. It was waste of time and we were not happy at all. Very disappointed, you should look into your booking system or train your front desk staff.

Visited here for a bachelor party. We had a poker game and music going till 4am and nobody bothered us about it which was great however we had to go through some hoops to get ice and there weren't enough towels for the amount of people staying. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Parking is not free or on-site. Overall a very positive stay though.

The front desk was very accommodating. They gave us free upgrades because we were downtown for a special occasion and gave us the best fit to find parking in the area to fit our needs. This was a big plus. The hotel room is okay. It is somewhat newly renovated, but the finishes are cheap and not properly installed. The flooring was hastily installed in our room, leaving large gaps between the laminate making it uncomfortable to walk on. The mattress is HARD, so my wife had an uncomfortable sleep. At least the pillows in our room came in various support levels (two firm, two soft). It is in a prime location and I understand that part of the price is access to Y&D square, but there are a few shortcomings I didn't expect in a hotel of this size and price.

I don't know why the reviews are so low. I stayed here for a work conference and have nothing terrible to say about my experience. Room was clean, staff were friendly, no problems with check-in or check out. Great location and hotel staff did a great job cleaning my room everyday.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Toronto. Steps away from Eaton Centre. My room is equipped with a kitchenette and refrigerator. The rooms are a bit dated but more than adequate for my needs. The staff are friendly. No complaints. Will definitely consider this hotel for any future business travel.

I tried to book a room here online like I do whenever I book a room somewhere. At the time there was no indication that my reservation actually went through on their website. I also never got an email confirmation about my reservation. So later that day I phoned the hotel to check and I was told that someone would check and get back to me. I never got a call back. So a day or so later I sent an email to ask. I never got a reply from it. I sent a second email the next day and never got a reply on that one either. So at this point I still do not know if I have a reservation or not and I need to make sure I have a room somewhere so I sent a 3rd email to cancel my reservation (if in fact I actually have one), and then I booked a room elsewhere. The strange thing was that they replied to the cancellation email almost immediately saying there is no refund with less than 48 hrs notice. By this time I had already made and confirmed another reservation. When I tried to explain the entire situation to them, as I described above, they basically said I was lying and I would get charged for the room anyway. How can they enforce such a strict cancellation policy when I NEVER received a reservation confirmation in the first place. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received from any hotel anywhere. I will never ever stay here.

Terrible service from housekeeping. First of all, they charged us $15 for 2 Evian bottles which we never drank. Then, my poor husband was struck with the flu and because we had to replace all the bedding they charged us another $85+HST! Then, the toilet was not working and they refused to move us to another room without additional charges "assuring" us that it was working before we arrived and it must have been my husband's fault! I seriously considered dragging my husband to St. Mike's across the street and all they do is bring me a flimsy toilet plunger and replacement bedding for a twin bed (our bed was king size). The two stars are for the great service at the bar. I apologize, his name escapes me but really nice guy. Otherwise, the location is OK, noisy with the hospital outside our window. Room was tired and run down but clean.

Top hotel in the middle of downtown. Great fitness room and large rooms at reasonable prices. The only drawback is the food or breakfast which is not really tasty and expensive. I recommend near what to look for.

The overall location is great, and the hotel room was modern and chic. Loved the spa as well, which came with a Jacuzzi, sauna, and a steam room. The gym equipment were good to use, although there was a few the could've been tightened. My only minor complaint is that the room smelled strongly of cologne that won't leave my bag alone still. I'd stay again though. The rain shower head was so nice!

Awesome boutique type hotel. Customer service at the front desk was top notch. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Furniture starting to show its age, several paint scratches. Great central downtown location. Overall, great experience. One con… no plugs on the desk or night tables. I was there overnight on business, not convenient for working. I had to move the bed to find an extension cord behind it to plug in my phone overnight. I ended up forgetting my charger as a result.

Good location and large, comfortable room. We forgot a Christmas card for a relative in the room and called the front desk about 30 minutes after checking out to ask them to keep it aside. The desk promised to do so and said they’d follow up if they didn’t find it. Unfortunately, they did not follow up and the card was lost.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a night while travelling through Toronto and had a fantastic experience. The staff were quick and friendly, and the room was very cozy with a phenomenal view. We would absolutely stay here again!

I used to stay at this hotel years ago and was always a fan. I would guess since then they have new ownership. Rooms feel dirty and almost like a low end apartment. The TVs are super small. The front desk staff is argumentative. There is no mini bar in the rooms. Furthermore on my last reservations I booked a KING bed, I was only given a double bed and when asking, I was told it was the last room. On Top of that there was dirty laundry when the previous guest in the room. I will not stay here again and feel that expectations for this hotel should be that of a 3 STAR.

For what it is it's a good place. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a little bit rough around the edges and a little bit worn down but still for the price you pay it's a good deal. The sink in our room was cracked and the paint in the bathroom was not the best. But that being said I would stay there again just for cleanliness and location.

Great location but missing a few things. We had a stove and kitchen but we had no pots and pans. They did supply when requested. Hot tub was warm but not hot. Bed was too soft.

Good location in downtown, close to theatres, but lacked any deals for parking, best place to park is the hospital opposite if you do not need to take the car in and out. Most of the city is easy walking distance from here. Great bar to relax for a drink and eat if you want.

Mediocre hotel. I would not rate as a four star hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and courteous. Waited almost an hour and a half (after the 3pm check in time) to get a room. Room was big, but in need of updating and repairs. Also, no thermostat in room so can't control the temperature. Would rate this hotel a low 3 stars overall. Location is good, near the Eaton's center and hospital. Walls are thin and can hear guests in other rooms. Bed was comfortable.

The place is beautiful. What can I say, there's a 24h breakfast place attached to the building; you've got the big theatres across the street; and the emergency room is half a block away so save your cab money for drinks and take the ambulance home! (Jokes, please enjoy responsibly)

Location was amazing. Walking distance to lots of cool stuff. Room was clean and lots of amenities. Service couldn't have been better… great stay.

Really nice stay. 2 nights on 16th floor. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice front desk women. Everything I needed and more.

The location is great for theatre goers but that is about the best that can be said. The rooms are very dated and the hotel is, in general, very tired. The decor is cheap '80s / '90s in the room and the bathroom is from the '70s and is what you would expect in an old Hotel 8 on the side of a highway. Priced for the location but overpriced if you are looking for something nice.

The location was both interesting and convenient, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is nice, but the fixtures and rooms are a bit cheaply done. Materials and furniture is rough and in our case the AC didn't work. It doesn't really matter, though, as the location makes up for the difference.

Small downside: nothing is included. Everything has to be added to the room card to make a final total price at the end of the stay.

Wonderful hotel! Spent one night here. Very clean, modern, spacious, elegant. Very home-y. I would stay here again! Loved the furniture and layout of the room! The bed was extremely big and comfortable. Very friendly staff! My only complaint is, I wasn't a fan of the pillows. Found them a little hard.

Very nice room for accommodated 5 people. The location is very good, in the middle of downtown, close to Dundas Square.

The hotel is nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful and is in a great location in the center, easily accessible from the station even on foot.
From here you move comfortably to see the city.

Only had a drink at Stages, so this is about the bar. After I sat down the bartender asked me to move so her friends who arrived after me could have my stool. Okay. I ordered a bourbon sour which is on the cocktail menu. The bartender gave me something that tasted like a bit of bourbon in lime juice. No egg white, not shaken. Awful. Then I overhear the bartender tell her friends she hasn't bothered to learn how to make the cocktails because she only drinks tequila straight. If you pay by card, they can't bring the machine to you. So I had to go to the cash in this high end bar to pay. There I asked the 2nd bartender who took over for the first if the original one was the regular and she said they both were. So it appears the ability to serve drinks here is limited to beer, wine and straight tequila. Worst bar in the city. Avoid.

If there was a zero rating I would have gave it. My wife and arrived from London Ontario for our first night away from our 3 small children in 7months. Upon arriving we were greeted by a friendly concierge, however we were told that they did not have a room available even though we had a reservation and confirmed May 31st via telephone. They said that they had to book us at another hotel close by and that we could walk or they would send us a cab. We chose to walk. Upon arriving at the Bond hotel we were again greeted by friendly staff who promptly checked us in. We got to our room and realized that this was NOT what we paid for. I called the Pantages Hotel and asked them for a refund and my vehicle brought up from Vallet. We walked back to the Pantages to confirm the refund. There were two people working behind the desk (different then 20 minutes earlier). I was speaking to the one gentlemen about getting my money back when the second individual spoke up and said yes we will be refunded you your money. At which point he buried his head into the computer monitor to continue with the reservation that he was processing. Absolutely no apology for any inconvenience. Very disappointed.

We went to the pancakes hotel for a relaxing spa getaway. The experience was great. We enjoyed our massages, bath, and time at the rainforest room. The only shortfall was how the place was upkept: the was no working soap dispensers, 1/2 soap dispensers was out of order, there were no hand towels, the floorboards were uneven. These were just minor things that we noticed, but they didn't alter our experience. We would come back again.

Bar area is cozy. Fireplace is nice. We ordered a bottle of wine, however it had cork taint. They were happy to take it back and bring us another. Overall good experience.

Great location, right in the center of downtown walking distance to tons of restaurants and things to do. The room was beautiful and spacious, and the hotel had a modem aesthetic, which was great. Make sure you plan for parking, I had thought parking might be included but it was 40$ a night for the valet service. I wish I had known since I would have parked outside the city and taken the metro in. But otherwise I had a great very comfortable stay.

The room was divine! The bar downstairs was really nice too. Totally chic. Great location, right next to the Eaton Centre.

I called to make an appointment at the Village Spa and the receptionist who answered unceremoniously put me on hold — twice! After waiting for 5 minutes the call went to an answering machine. Terrible customer service I've never had such an awful experience with any Spa or hotel. I can only imagine how awful the overall services would be if they can't even manage to help clients for Spa services.
