The Bond Hotel is a shelter for people transitioning from homelessness and many use narcotics. It’s supposed to be a safe place for users however people have OD’d and died from lack of care. Drugs are allowed in the rooms with the option of someone to supervise but many use alone. They accept pets and refuse to return a cat that I have proof of pet registration and rudely hang up unless it’s an intake for a user to get a bed. People have been raped, beaten, robbed and they’re protected by confidentiality or proof, this is not a good place to stay at or even go near. Police are there regularly as staff neglect to understand what harm reduction is or that pets should have proof they are not stolen before they are accepted, they have access to the information for all animals and still refuse to do anything. Homeless people are put on condition to not return for different reasons but the pet is not given any consideration, in this case they have been keeping a pet from a family who has been together for years.
A nightmare from start to finish. 😕
I booked a room with two beds for 1 night on Booking. Com. Upon arrival two days later, I find out the hotel is no longer available: it is now a shelter for the homeless. After 8 hours on the road, and arriving at 7 PM, this is a very bad surprise!
The security guard at the door won't let us in to talk to someone, tells us to find another hotel. I insisted my reservation was prepaid, and finally an employee comes out to help after waiting 20 minutes on the sidewalk. He relocates us to another hotel, where I had to explain (again) before getting a room, with only 1 bed… and no shower: a pipe burt as I turned on the water.
I can understand that a miscommunication can happen, but why is the hotel still taking reservations today, when clearly, there are no rooms?

This is a “harm reduction” program run by the city and not currently a Hotel. Residents have been overdosed and sent to St Mike’s where pets are then lost. Death count is unknown but the overdoses are in high numbers, the rooms are equipped with the option for someone to be present while users are doing narcotics but many get supplies across the street and prefer staff not to be present. It’s not at all the hotel it was nor do any of the photos reflect the actual situation in this hotel after Covid. One of the lost pets is the black cat 🐈⬛ that was not brought to a shelter. Staff were informed the cat was there as a support animal with contact info for in the event he needed to be returned. Please help us find Smoky.
