The rooms are comfortable, each one is unique. The Waverley has terrific atmosphere.

Our favourite place to stay. On our honeymoon over 20 years ago to now. Just charming and inviting. Friendly staff and a great location.

Good location. Our room was one of the smaller rooms, and while it did have a Queen size bed, it was cramped. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good. Good for overnight but not for longer.

Nice hotel in historic style. Have a nice look. Not comparable in a new modern hotel. I like to come back.

This past weekend was my second stay at the Waverley Inn. I just absolutely love this historic building and the breathtaking period antiques that furnish each room and all public areas. The staff is super friendly. Each door you open has a WOW reaction. Get away from the ordinary hotel rooms that most places offer and enjoy something out of the ordinary. A great plus is the on site parking and hot buffet breakfast that are included in the cost of your room. My first choice for our next visit to Halifax. And a bonus is the fact it is located very near the waterfront and within walking distance to all the things you want to see in Downtown Halifax.

Great location, character and charm. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, did not have an iron and made a dinner meeting not so good with heavily wrinkled cloths. Staff said was an ongoing problem so no reason not to stock enough irons or have customers return them after use. Outside of that its a pretty awesome inn!

This is my tenth stay here (first in 1991). I always get a deluxe queen room with Jacuzzi. If cookie-cutter (Sheraton, Hilton, etc. ) is your style, you might not be happy here; but if you're into Victorian style and true hospitality, you'll love it. The included breakfast is beyond continental, and there are baked goods in the afternoon. Another great perk: You can leave your car at the inn (free parking for guests) and walk pretty much anywhere you want in Halifax.

I had an excellent stay at Halifax Waverley Inn. Staff is helpful and polite. Decorations are very beautiful. Rooms are big and comfortable and have a unique atmosphere inspired by historical hotels. Bathrooms are also quite big and include Jacuzzi. Breakfast is generous and tastes great. Despite slightly elevated prices, I would certainly come back and can highly recommend this hotel.

Pretty average stay. Breakfast was decent. Bed was ok. Room was pretty small but functional. Good for the price.

I stayed there whilst visiting my half brother, it was such a wonderful place to land after the long journey from the U. K. My sister and I LOVED our room, it was beautiful and cosy. The staff were so attentive, caring and genuinely interested in us. I Would go back in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone who was thinking about staying in the area. A true gem of a place, the like of which is sooo rare to find.

A very quaint and boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very well positioned. No restaurant but a free breakfast is provided and while it never varies is more than adequate to set you up for the day. There is no bar but there are plenty within 5 minutes walk. The doors are locked at 2300hrs but the front desk is manned all the time and if you are out carousing then they will always left you in. One of the bonus points for the hotel is the fact that parking is free in an area where the norm can be up to $20 per night. On the downside there are no in room tea and coffee facilities but this is available 24 hours a day in the foyer along with cakes and biscuits in the afternoons.

Grand old inn w/nice rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was the same thing every morning and kinda 'tired'

I stayed at the Waverley Inn March 2018 The room was great, bed comfortable and the refurbished ambiance decor quite beautiful. There are stairs to the room but staff helped carry my bags. Other than a mistaken identity problem, I loved my stay. I would definitely recommend this Inn, as it's close to everything downtown.

I stayed at the Waverley inn for 3 nights. The historic hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The character and charm and friendly staff rivals any other hotel.

The place is very beautiful. The people who work in the establishment are very nice and lunch is included in the price of the room. Lunch commenses at 7 o'clock and finished at 10:30 in the morning. The rooms are very jolly and resounds the rest of the hotel.

Old world charm. Clean rooms, lovely antique furnishings, tasty breakfast and friendly staff.

Brilliant! The previous night we’d stayed in a nasty impersonal oh-so-clean Hilton monstrosity… my mistake! The Waverley was gorgeous, quirky, personal and, above all, authentic. A rare treat, outstanding value, and right across the road from a decent blues pub. What’s not to like?

This was not the hotel I picked for my trip to Halifax but my husband talked me into it and I'm so glad he did! The staff have all been amazing and the place is absolutely beautiful. My room is small but cozy and has everything I need. The bed is almost comfier than my own. The attention to detail is spectacular, the furniture and decorations are so beautiful, you really feel like you've stepped back in time. And the water pressure in the showers is actually really good. Normally I have a horrible time with hotel showers and, because of the age of the building, I was expecting it to be just as bad if not worse than normal but it was on par with my shower at home. Small thing but it makes a huge difference. I will definitely be back.

I lovedy stay at the Waverly Inn. It is in a practical location and has free parking! Great bang for your buck! The bed was very comfortable and the place was quiet.

Nice Inn with a lot of charm and ďépoque cachet. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Price including parking and continental breakfast, hard to find better in downtown ĎHalifax at this price.

Great position for exploring Halifax. Close to downtown and loads of good restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is a bonus. Elaborate wooden furnishings and period decorations in common areas and rooms add to the historic air. The patched bath and tired mattresses in our room didn't add anything. Noisy pumbing from adjacent rooms is probably unavoidable in a hotel of its age. Breakfast is certainly forgettable… cold hard boiled eggs, tinned pork and beans, commercial hash browns and pancakes. There are plenty of other breakfast options within walking distance.

Very regal but cozy. Rooms were comfy and we'll appointed… but the great thing is the entire building oozes history. The folks running the Inn were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. It is supposed to be haunted and you get the feeling the eyes in the paintings are following you. Great place, great location, good parking and a very reasonable price.

Efficient checkin with parking and breakfast included. So much character in the building and rooms which was very clean. Had my own patio which was nice on the main floor. Only stayed a couple of nights but would book again for the price.

Authentic Victorian hotel. Rooms are clean and furnished with quality antiques, beds are comfortable and linens are high quality, staff is accommodating, quirky Victorian artwork and ornate detail abounds, location is prime, and the price is right. Best hotel experience I've had in a long time.

Beautiful inn, with lots of old decor, and chilled out atmosphere. The reception staff were all exceptional, and they were helpful with every request. They let us keep our rental parked on our last day after check-out while we walked around Halifax before our flight. Breakfast in the basement was good! The rooms could use a touch of minimalism to make them more comfortable, and the air conditioning units could use an update. Aside from that, we would stay here again, and recommend that you check it out!

We stayed here for a weekend in Halifax and loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The inn was beautiful, the staff was lovely, the location was great. We'll be back for sure.
