Beautiful room with a view attentive staff. Parking is limited, but did not detract from our stay. Treat yourself to a dinner at Stories right in the main building. Superb!

Lovely heritage hotel with a nice patio in the back. Continental breakfast was very good. Comfy bed.

Quaint room. This place is like a bed and breakfast with a private bathroom. The price was good for a one night stay. I gave it a four star rating because of the price. The TV is just a bit bigger than my iPad. Clean but with carpets. A small parking area that is free for guests.

The Halliburton is a cute little Inn in the purfect location. Just steps away from shops, greater restaurants and the waterfront. The staff are exceptionally friendly and really represent the east coast charm!

If your looking for a unique historic experience with the best fine dining experience in Atlantic Canada, this is the place to go. All the staff are very friendly, helpfull, and welcoming. The room was spotless and had just what I needed. Highly recommend eating at Stories resturant, and requesting a flight with paired wines, as Chef Vail will impress anyone that enjoys food. The cuisine has a focus on fresh local food prepared in classic as well as new and inspiring ways. As well stories was more than able to cater to my dietary restrictions. The wait staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and had impeccable timing (my water and wine glass were never completely empty, a trait I am highly appreciative of). Lastly the atmosphere in the dining room is perfect for anything from a romantic dinner for two up to an extravagant party for the family/ work partners but it is sectioned in such a way that you have the right level of privacy for your event. In the summer I also recommend you enjoy the courtyard with a summer beer or wine and some light fare from Stories. Any way you experience it, your sure to go home with some great memories.

It is a quiet and small hotel, the service is excellent and the continental breakfast very good.

The Halliburton was a great find located 2 minutes walks to every on the harbor. Tje inn has a ton of history behind it and every room seed to be different from the other. The staff was more than willing to inform, educate and assist with anything we asked. Parking is very tight as they do have parking behind tje Inn but on tje street parking varies by the seasons and venue of town as its on a main artery of downtown hallifax. I would recommend getting in early as tjere is a ton to see all walking distance… we loved our stay and will be back again …

So close for a 5-star rating! loved this place: the ambiance and decor, the service :) only downside was the manager didnt mention that the back rooms (up stairs, straight down hall, end near window) have thin walls: there is a bar next door and legally they can blast music til they close… at 2am breakfast was awesome, and the dining area maintenance worker (his name begins with an 'E') is super sweet! I also love how the entrance has 2 sets of doors: the first set always remains open, but after 11pm for safety, the second set is locked and only guests with a key can enter closeby to the harbourfront which is nice too! loved this place and would recommend: if we're ever back in Halifax, i'm staying here.

Small boutique hotel. Three older buildings side by side. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast. Unfortunately they only had a double bed available instead of a King or queen. Mixup/misunderstanding during telephone reservation.

Beautiful, historic series of row houses functioning as well run and well cared for hotel in the heart of Halifax. It's near the bay and major streets but very quiet. Easy access to all historical sites and downtown.

Perfect inn. People are lovely, room was clean and cozy, food amazing. Breakfast included and is served in a lovely cozy dining room. Location is perfect… a few feet from boardwalk and walking distance to downtown.

Nice location, close to shore. The rooms are clean, though they need some improvement. It's a refurbished old houses complex. Breakfast is included and it's basic. Parking in the back, but you have to circle the whole area to reach it.

Location is perfect, right downtown and within walking distance. Rooms are small but it's an old house so it was expected. Our hot water wasn't working properly at first, but it was fixed quickly by the staff. Overall an amazing experience at the Haliburton.

Good breakfast and very central location. Neat old building and so that comes with lots of out of date finishings and a general musty, stuffy feeling. Not our cup of tea but place has its charm.

While rooms are clean and the staff friendly for the same cost you can get a modern room downtown. This hotel caters to those looking for something outside the normal hotel experience.

This is a small boutique hotel and it never dissapoints. The rooms are not slick and generic, but have character and comfort and I feel like I am home. There is a small blues bar just around the corner, but never have any of my clients been disturbed or overheard noise. The service is attentive, but not fawning and you feel as if the owner is welcoming you home.

The rooms are really nice in this inn, but as other reviewers have noted the construction limitations (probably b/c they are working with historic buildings) make it a little awkward to go from one part of the hotel to the main part where breakfast is served, etc. Free internet service in the lobby was nice and they have DVDs you can use at no charge as well. A great location (one can easily access downtown Halifax by walking) and very comfortable, tasteful rooms, but just not overly special as the term "boutique, " which they use in their promotional materials, would indicate.
