Amazing hotel. Highly recommended.

When I booked 4 days ago, at the Best Western in Fernie I was unable to
to finish my special request as it went straight to booked, called the
hotel within minutes to tell them we had a dog and what would we be
charged, was told over the phone my a guy that afternoon (Thursday
Sept. 12th) we could not have a dog in the room we booked so we could
only have a dog friendly room the price for the room would be $176. Xx
plus a $20 dog fee, asked him to email me a confirmation which he took
my email then said oh u booked through Expedia I cant do that only
Expedia can, but confirmed my price for the hotel for 3 adults and 1 dog
was $176. Xx plus $20. Called Expedia right away and had them confirm
with the hotel which they did yes u will be charged that price. I then
asked them to send me a updated information on the new price they just
sent me the same email I recieved at time of booking and said dont worry
the hotel has your special request and you will be charged that amount.
When we checked out the bill was for the orginal amount $254. Xx we said
why are charged the full amount?! They said we cant do anything about
it, it has to be done through Expedia but I confirmed this 3 days with
the hotel the other price! So basically you are making more money off of
us for charging us the full room price but we stayed in a dog friendly
room which was cheaper unbelieveable.

Sumptuous room, with fireplace, walk in shower and king bed. Amazing rugged mountain view from our balcony.

Always a great stay. Nice, warm cozy rooms and nice big bath tubs for freezing bodies after a day after the powder. We will continue to keep coming back!

My wife accidentally left her diamond engagement and wedding rings on the bathroom counter at this hotel during a long road trip. We realized after checking out, called back, and the staff immediately went up and found them. We picked them up at the front desk not long after. Very grateful for this. Says a lot about the hotel and its excellent staff.

Very nice hotel, pet friendly, too. The room was very nice and quiet. The breakfast, however, was not good. Thin little waffles, scrambled eggs, egg frittata, ham slices, potatoes, all served from hot pans, but these items were all cool to cold. We had to reheat all in the microwave. Hot food should be hot! We’ve stayed here before and the breakfast has not ever been stellar, just okay. I felt the price we paid for the room was higher than other Best Western properties and the breakfast should be a lot better.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities! There are two hot tubs and a pool for your enjoyment and relaxation. The rooms are newer with updated decor. Great rain shower in bathroom! Bed was comfy. Close to restaurants, grocery store and hiking. Staff were friendly and courteous. We would definitely stop here again.

Really accommodating for dogs, complete with a dog bed, dog bowl, poop bags and biscuits. There was a grassy area perfect for dogs. Front desk fellow was new but really helpful and funny. He was able to track us down a couple of red wine glasses.

I have stayed at Best Western for over half of my overall hotel stays and this is my first review. We have always been welcomed with a friendly attitude and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained and they never have a problem giving extra supplies when requested. In short the BW has always been consistent in customer service.

Been coming here off and on for over 8 years it's a great place. Love all the staff.

Great all around. A tad dissatisfied with the fact I constanntly am talked rude when I refuse to use a credit at check in because my company has one registered on file. They make me feel as though I burden them.

Mostly uses it for business. I like staying there, always great staff to work with, convenient location, great atmosphere and has everything I need. As long as they maintain the exceptional standards I have been experiencing, I will keep going back.

Good place to stay whether you are on a work assignment or with family. Breakfast is included and amenities are in the building or a short walk away. Staff is friendly and the Wi-Fi is free.

Clean, quiet, comfy bed, nice pool inside and outside hot tub. Connected to Boston pizza and a liquor store steps away. Nice stay, recommended.

Great place to stay in town. The attached Boston Pizza delivers to your room. The breakfast hours are excellent, and the choices everyday are delicious and change slightly.

This is a beautiful property with awesome staff, great amenities such as the outdoor hot tub (that’s hot and not like warm! ) and a clean professional breakfast room. Highly recommended! Even tough their TV signal was knocked out for some reason while I was staying there, they made up for it. Probably the best hotel in Fernie, BC!

This Best Western is actually quite good, they've upped their game at the Fernie location. It's not super high end but you are well taken care of.

It's a nice hotel, the room we got was a King bed with a pull out sofa. We have a little fridge and microwave. The breakfast is decent — lots of choices (today we got potato pancakes, ham, sausage, eggs and more — different from yesterday). The staff are friendly. Our cleaning lady is super nice, I wish I knew her name. Our kids love the pool and indoor hot tub (there's an outdoor hot tub but we never went there). We stayed for 3 nights Jan 2018 to ski Fernie. Fernie is a small town. To get to the hill is around 15 minutes. Nice and easy. There is liquor store beside it and a Starbucks, as well as a Loblaws grocery store within walking distance. Overall, a good hotel.

This is an awesome hotel in Fernie with excellent amenities and an awesome breakfast each morning. It is convenient and close to downtown as well as to the mountain for skiing (although you must drive). Insulation was great and so with the hotel being full during the holiday period and lots of kids, the rooms were extremely quiet and soundproof! The restaurant attached offered much more than pizza and was a good value. The outdoor hot tub was a real bonus (also have an indoor one but it was usually full of kids). We would stay here again for sure!

We just spent the night at the Fernie Best Western Plus on our way home from the Okanagan. The room was beautiful! The bed was amazing, so comfy! I had the best nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning was a perfect start to another long day of travelling!

We stay at the Fernie Best Western at least 2-3 times a year. Always a clean room, friendly staff. Great comfy beds, nice and firm. Pool and hot tub are always a bonus. Look forward to staying there next time.

It was a wonderful Hotel. My family and I loved staying here. The pool was nice. Staff was good. The breakfast was amazing. The views were spectacular. The rooms are great too!

Restaurant Boston Pizza in the house.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable, with full breakfast (including chef who will make to order), nice pool and Jacuzzi, good workout facilities, and convenient dining with the Boston Pizza connected at one end. Adequate parking, and easy access to Fernie's activities, downtown, and shopping for whatever you need. I highly recommend this hotel, and the excellent staff that work hard to accommodate your every need. Great job, All!

It's the newest & nicest hotel in Fernie. Most hotels in the Fernie area are quite dated and beat up, this one is very modern and nice. The pool is very small but the indoor & outdoor hot tubs are both great, as well as the excellent free breakfast. Beds are too soft and caused back issues for me during our stay — I need a firmer mattress to keep my spine aligned properly. Some people might enjoy the soft mattresses though and it would be a plus for them. Overall a comfortable stay here.

This BW+ is absolutely wonderful. Plus, a pet friendly location. Our window looked out to the mountains, a gorgeous view at night and in the morning. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. The check in and check out front desk personnel are very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this location and would return to this property if ever in Fernie, BC again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Among best of the 'Best (Westerns). ' Full marks for every aspect: friendly staff, clean rooms, full amenities (fridge, microwave, fireplace, breakfast, spectacular views, comfy bed, quiet, etc. +++). Room is very spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. Steps from grocery, gas, restaurants, incredible views, etc. Tip: found best rate by calling front desk vs. Shopping around online. Can't over-emphasize spectacular views!

We stayed here on our way to Osoyoos. Clean, comfortable, quiet. The hot breakfast was great and there was a chef to cook your eggs exactly how you like them. Highly recommended.

Booked a family room which we expected to have a partition however it only had a glass screen. Despite that the room was nice and the breakfast was good.

I stay here a few times a year, and this visit was one of the best. Wasn't placed by the elevator. Room was excellent. Staff were great. I'll be back.

Clean rooms and friendly, accommodating staff. Minus a star for the TV HDMI being locked out and Netflix being blocked.

Nothing extraordinary. Looks nice from the outside, but the service and rooms were average. Unless you get an amazing deal, there are better options elsewhere.

Lovely staff and very clean rooms. The pool and workout area were both very near and tidy. The staff were also very knowledgable about the surrounding area and were able to recommend good restaurants in the area.

The rooms were clean and the outdoor area with the pool is really nice. They have workout facilities and a Boston's Pizza attached you can call into for an order to pick up. At Boston's you can charge the order to your room so it's convenient for paying. I was here for an conference and the facilities were really good. The food provided for the event was prepared well and tastes good.

I have attended several conferences here but have never spent a night. They have the largest and best conference rooms in Fernie. It's a comfortable, modern hotel, ideal for corporate functions or wedding parties.

Found this hotel to be quite nice and comfortable. The breakfast area was a bit small for the amount of guests, but overall good.

Yes the building is wonderful, but I can tell you that the staff are excellent! from the front desk to housekeeping everyone was very pleasant and helpful. There are a lot of places considered that might be considered higher class than Best Western but I can tell you they would be hard pressed to match the professional (yet relaxed) excellent service given by those who work in this hotel. Well done Fernie Mountain Lodge. I will definitely recommend your establishment to travellers.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western in late September for 3 nights. We have traveled frequently over the years and have never had a problem with leaving belongings in our room. I was extremely disappointed to discover that I had some of my belongings stolen with the first days maid service. I reported this to the front desk and didn't receive an apology from the management or any compensation due to this breach of privacy. We will never stay at this hotel again.
