Bungalows were amazing. Extremely quiet and clean. Elk romaed the property at various times eating grass.

This place is a gem! Right across the river from Fairmount but with far more affordable prices! Deers and elks frequent the area. We watched a bull deer right out of our windows. There is also access to the river with nice benches and great views! The owner is very nice and lives on the property. You’ll probably see him walking his dog.

Toilets keep on plugs and we have to wait for few hours to get it fix. Very good spot but needs this toilet flush problem fix.

I was here on June 10th, 2018 at Heritage Cabin No. 31. There's stuff that can be improved here, especially with maintenance and services, but overall it was a great experience. You'll be a very short driving distance from the town of Jasper and it's a relatively short drive from all major sights of Jasper Park; you will be a walking distance from Athabasca River with trails along it for short hikes where you will almost certainly spot an elk or two; and when back inside the cabins, you'll be warm and cosy. All this added to the pocket-friendly cost, makes this place ideal for a couple of nights of lodging while you explore the beauties of The Rockies.

Nice spot by the river, stayed in one of the new river front bungalows, it had been nicely finished, we had a young Elk come by for a visit with us.

Beautiful, natural facility. No High-tech. If you want to have your Peace and quiet here and want to explore the Surroundings from here, you are in good hands here!

Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, and very clean. My only complaint is internet usuage problematic. That being said I have been here three times and shall return for really like the place.

Quiet, peaceful retreat with lots of character. Backs onto the beautiful Athabasca River for a beautiful morning or evening stroll. Wi-Fi is limited to the main building and no TV's in rooms so unplug and relax fro a while!

My husband and I stayed in one of the renovated riverfront cabins. The cabins are tastefully decorated. We liked mostly everything. The room was better than we expected. I liked the firm bed. The bathroom has an automatic sensor equipped fan that goes on every time you enter the bathroom which annoyed us considerably but we found a way to get around it by covering it. Just once I would like to rent a room with a view that has clean windows. These windows were dirty and the bath towels were very small and thin. Staff came in daily to replenish towels and never took off their shoes so we were sweeping the floor every afternoon when we got back to the cabin. And the service was twofold. We were missing the steel fire box and when we went to ask for one, the lady at the desk appeared to not care and implied that we might not be able to get one. We were upset and concerned about not being able to have a fire when a couple hours later two different staff showed up with one and complementary firewood as well. Problem solved wonderfully for us. Elk was roaming and we were there during the rut which was interesting. We seen a bull elk from the kitchen window calling for a mate. Beautiful scenery and great cabin. We will certainly go back.

Our visit did not start off well. When we arrived, the "receptionist" who served us, gave absolutely no greeting — even though I had cheerfully said "Hello — gave our names & that we had a booking". No response. I spoke a little more to her, being friendly, and she just kept on working on her computer for our booking. As she had her lips tightly closed, I wondered (as did my husband, he later told me) if she was mute — ie. Unable to speak, so didn't worry too much. Then she spoke — "how do you want to pay the balance of your booking?! " And that was it! No information about the cabin, that Wi-Fi was available in front of the lodge, where the laundry was or anything else! We drove over to our cabin — the ground surrounding our cabins plus a lot overs was a mess. They had obviously been building new cabins, so the ground was very torn up and messy and huge weeds everywhere.

We went for my Birthday weekend to Pine Bungalows (always wanted to go) Paid $560.00 bucks for 2 nights. Drove hours to get there. Arrived at 3:15 pm. Tired n need to use the washroom. Cabin be ready at 4. Nowhere to use the bathroom. Waited till 4:10. Cabin not ready. Waited till 4:30. Cabin not ready. Waited till 4:55. Cabin Not ready. Don't know when. Maybe another 20 minutes… R U KIDDING ME?! How about just giving us our money back n we go stay somewhere else? Nope! Was the answer. So we wait longer n longer… FINALLY at 5:35 cabin ready. Still sticky wet floors no xtra blankets. Etc etc… I would NEVER go to Pine Bungalows again. Worst experience ever… Would NOT recommend it ever!

My family rented 5 cabins and a room in the conference centre in Aug for a family wedding at a different hotel in Jasper. Three of the cabins we had, renos and updates were done and were quite lovely except very poorly cleaned. The conference centre room, I was told was also acceptable. The last 2 cabins were the 2 bedroom cabins that were horrible, dirty and run down. They were charging $220 for these cabins. My daughter and her young family were in one of them and it was not acceptable. I did go and talk to Heather, who managed to change my daughters cabin to one of the updated ones but myself and family had to stay in the old cabin. I had asked for sheets for the pull out couch and Heather said they don't use the couch anymore because they are old. On closer inspection, the upholstery on the couch and kitchen chairs was disgusting! It appeared that they had not been cleaned in a VERY long time! We did not sit on them or rest anything on them unless we put a towel down on them. There was mouse dropping that had not been cleaned up, the bath tub was plugged (which they did come and fix), beds were uncomfortable and saggy with ratty old blankets on them. It was not rustic it was old, run down and dirty! On the front deck, we got to look out at a bunch of old toilet seats by the dirty laundry room. Heather did reimburse us $80 and apologized but I don't think the cabins should be rented out in the condition that they were in!

Waited 45 minutes after the "guaranteed" 4pm check in because the room wasnt ready. We actually showed up at 2pm but were told to come back at 4pm. Only to wait around for 45 minutes. Got to our cabin and the has fireplace was shut off. We called and were told someone would be by. Over 2 hours waiting so we could head into Jasper for dinner and nothing. Called the desk again only to be told someone will eventually be by, no guess when. No apologies. Just horrible staff. The cabins are ok but the staff just absolutely ruin it.

For this price, this place isn't the best. The stay was alright… The cabins have a potential but inside are old and dirty. The kitchen lacks a microwave but most importantly a knife? Toaster is old and disgusting. No dishwasher, no Wi-Fi, no BBQ area (maybe there is a central one but not sure) The bathrooms are moldy and the shower curtain seems like it hasn't been changed for years, yuck! Carpet has stains. Overall, these cabins need a renovation. The only good thing is location: nice and quiet and close to the town.

Riverfront cabinet, great view of mountains and rivers, really clean and enough place inside. Window prevent mosquitos! Nice staff, quick check in and out. Nice place for a few days get away! During night, 1am, can see thousand of stars just in front of cabinet! Amazing! Construction not finished around our cabinet, dirt everywhere, a lot of loudly and not well educated family, one kids threw stones at our cabinet and when I got out to stop him, he apologized but his father or grandfather threated me while saying that his boy did nothing wrong… AND People smoking everywhere! Price is fair, location convenient, cabinet is modern enough and really clean! But no microwave! Good for family and people don't care smoke and annoying kids. We had a pretty good time!

In general this all something old and neglected, however by that price and the site where this is you can give 3 stars.

We stayed in the newer riverside bungalows with gas fireplace. It was very comfortable, although not very romantic. It's like having a large hotel room with kitchenette but as a bungalow. Still, I would return here and recommend it.

Very nice, clean cabins. The property is beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife during our visit. Highly recommend this calm peaceful place to stay.

Close at the Center but surrounded by secluded nature you can stay here in rustic log cabins in the Trapper style! A short walk and you is on the Athabasca River and with luck you can observe elk, moose, or bear at the Baden.

Our favorite place to visit. Looking forward to being there again soon. Every year we treat ourselves to the beautiful scenery and it is so relaxing. Staff are terrific and cabins are just perfect.

I have stayed at pine Bungalows in 1998/99 then again in 2009/2010 for 2 weeks at a time with my wife as it is our most favorite destination in the Canadian Rockies! Pine Bungalows is a true gem, fantastic staff, river front bungalows are perfect cabins with outstanding views of the mighty majestic rockies including Mt Edith Cavell! Listen to the beautiful sounds of nature at its best and enjoy the views of the wonderful Athabasca River. Jasper town minutes away even though you feel miles from civilization! So much to do there all at your door step! Cannot wait to go back.

My wife and I stayed here 10-12 years ago. It was probably the most memorable trip of my life! The beauty of the area is absolutely incredible. While staying at the Pine Bungalow everything was "just right. " Not too big. Not too small. Not too "fluffy. " Not too raw. Verrry comfortable! Try it, you'll like it! If the times were right — I'd go back in a minute.
