Our two days training on Mental Health First Aid was held on their conference room, was clean and it’s conducive for learning/ trainings and seminars for 20-30 persons. I have an awesome and wonderful experience, the food is healthy and yummy. Excellent service and would love to recommend it. Kodus!

Great hospitality. Great staff, so helpful and friendly! My suite was immaculate! I’d stay at any Sandman hotel.

Room Service is inefficient we requested early in the morning but when we arrive late afternoon our roon wasn’t clean still then, we requested again we go out for dinner after 40mins they just put the new towel in the washroom didn’t even care to organized it our was not folded not even clean the empty cup and just put the coffee on the table without washing the coffee brewer. “i thought it was a room service but what happened is a self service”

Me and a friend and our kids had the worst Experience at this hotel we had Accommodations that come with the room missing and never replaced our toiletries were never stocked we had to go get them ourselves our room was not cleaned our ac didn’t work room was hot because it was connected with the pool and very rude and unhelpful staff … Great location terrible place.

Very comfy beds. Clean rooms. And very quite hotel breakfast at Denny's is amazing.

Nice and clean, price is right, lots of restaurants near by and Dennys I'd right here and close to west end mall.

We usually love the sandman and came here for a night to say goodbye to a family member. Booked a king size tower suite and we got two kids single beds pushed together. Most uncomfortable night sleep we have had at a sandman yet.

Nice hotel close to everything.
Front desk staff was cordial and helpful.
The hotel was completely renovated.
Bed was very comfortable, large screen t. V. 48 inches, coffee was good, shower was nice, the amenities were all there.

Disgusting room conditions, have been to cleaner gyms, and this was their most expensive room, king suite in tower, massive stains on the ceilings and trim work, toothpaste, months of soap scum build up in uncleaned shower, it’s called a scrub brush, soap isotopes hanging from the shower head, oh look maybe Blood stain on couch pillow, what an experience here in Edmonton…

The Hotel was under construction when we were there so understandably it was messy. First room they tried to give us was dark and it smelled like stale cigarettes. After complaining about the room they upgraded us to a king suite for free in the new tower which made our stay much nicer. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Negative: room didn't have mini fridge, too much light coming through the first story window, car alarm woke us up at 2am. Positive: staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful.

This place is a dump. Absolutely filthy from the front desk to our room. Upon walking into our room we were blasted with the smell of mildew and old cigarettes in an apparent non smoking room. There was no baseboards around the door frames holes in the walls and undesirables all over the hotel. We immediately checked out but due to a non refundable policy we had to pay for this garbage. Regardless, we stayed elsewhere to avoid infection or otherwise. We will never stay here or recommend it to anyone.

The front entrance was a mystery to find. More signage is needed. Rooms were comfortable. Location was difficult to access we drove around a few times to find the proper road. No extras were included. If you book online you will get more for your buck. I book on the phone and the lady who took our reservation had no clue about the Edmonton area so we were far from our destination. Make sure you ask for proper directions and book online.

Don't be fooled by nice pictures on their site. Checked the first room, very old an out dated. Should have snapped a picture. Upgraded to the "new" tower. Room temperature was set to cool, but only got warmer. Luckily temperature outside was cool and I could keep the balcony door open to cool off. Not at all what one should expect from a 3 star joint. Not coming back.

Thought I’d spend a little extra on a hotel for the night we stayed in Edmonton, but was very disappointed for the price I paid. We stayed in the “tower” and had no direction how to get there from the lobby. Fair enough, we found it eventually. The shower is a half open concept shower, fantastic idea, but poorly executed. The shower flooded our bathroom and for the 2 of us staying there, we were only provided 2 regular size towels and a couple face towels. Nothing significant to clean up until we were dry, and had to wring out the used towels into the tub to get the water out. Again, fine. It’s under construction and needs to be tweaked. But seriously, only two towels? When we got to the room, the curtain was velcrowed to the window leaving an 18” gap at the bottom that we couldn’t close. Easy enough, sacrifice a pillow and it’s fixed. So we relax and see in the booklet provided that room service from the attached Denny’s is open til 11. We have a desert craving around 9:30 and call down to the front desk. Room service is NOT available in the tower after 9pm. This was the biggest disappointment as NOWHERE does it correctly state, both on the website and on the guide provided inside our room, that room service for the tower part specifically ends at 9pm. Then I forgot left my watch there (my fault) and called to see if they had it. Other hotels in the past have worked hard to make this process painless, offering to ship it to our house as a cash in delivery payment.

Meh. Not bad, not great. Average accommodation. Friendly staff. Renovations in progress, so perhaps better after completion.

Pool (true water is heavily chlorinated I have on chlorine allergy). Big Room-2 rooms and not expensive. The restaurant has a delicious meal. Good service. There is a fitness room.

Nice room and service but too small pool and no slide or kid part.

Stayed there for 3 night for a kids soccer tournament. clean rooms. Not so impressed when asked to leave the sitting area next to the pool at 10PM what a way to kill the mood.

There were renovations going on during our stay on the top floor, but everything was handled very professionally and still made for a very pleasant stay. Great pool area and facility, and close to west edmonton mall and many other attractions. You can drive down stony plain road all the way to the new Rogers arena. Definitely no complaints, had a very good stay in their king bed with a corporate AMA discount. Will be staying here again in the future! Definitely recommended if you’re in for the weekend or just an evening. Other items worth mentioning: Denny’s restaurant attached makes for a solid breakfast option. Chop is also attached and a great expensive dinner option if you’re looking to wine and dine. Definitely a great option to stay in Edmonton!

Excellent customer service. Very clean rooms and close to all your shopping needs. Many different restaurants around the area and close to the west Edmonton mall.

I'm going to be blunt. I'm not sure whats worst, assigned a dated room the size of a shoebox, or having to listen to the drone of an air conditioner all night trying to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. I travel a lot for work and can say this is not value for money.

Was there for a business meeting. The lighting in the meeting room kept flickering. The HVAC system was so noisy. Would not recommend for business meeting.

I cannot say enough about this hotel the staff was amazing helpful courteous the rooms were clean I will definitely be staying here again I don't want to say thank you very much the front desk staff including Julie went out of her way over and above to make to make sure our stay was amazing and it was.

After travelling all night to Edmonton from Wpg the Sandman allowed us to check-in early… Fantastic Service! Recommend it ANYTIME.

The conference room was super clean. The coffee was good and the baking and cookies were amazing. The staff were friendly and there were complimentary Valentine's day cards in the men's washroom!

Pretty decent hotel. They will bend over backwards to accommodate you and the ladies at Dennies rock as well. All in all a good experience.

Hotel and room was clean, hotel is currently renovating. We stayed in a room that was not renovated yet but was nice to walk out to the pool/hot tub area. Did manage to see the suite rooms in the new tower and those rooms were very nice. Staff was nice and curtious. Would consider staying again in a renovated room.

Pretty good hotel, comfortable beds, wish there was a microwave or fridge in the rooms other than that great service.

Very happy with the food, service and decor. We had over 12 people for lunch.

Nice for the price point has two places to eat a gym and pool.

Pretty frustrating paying for a king sized bed only to find out it's two twin sized mattresses pushed together. Thanks for the uncomfortable, over priced sleep. We won't be staying here again.

My wife and I have now stayed overnight at this location twice now and their customer service is exemplary. The suite we've stayed in both times were clean and we definitely look forward to staying with them again in the future.

Disappointed that no room fridge. Room air conditioning could use a up date loud and not good at cooling. Other than that clean room and nice beds happy that way. Happpy that its pet friendly staff very friendly.

Visited family from out of town at their hotel. The kids all had a great dinner at Denny's and the pool area was really nice. We'd recommend this hotel to others who come to visit.

The lobby looked great and they're doing renovations, but our room was small and terrible. Within minutes of entering the room I found a couple of spiders crawling on my suitcase! I tried to use the outlet on the lamp to charge my phone but neither one of the outlets worked and neither did the lamp. I then put my phone on the air conditioner to charge because the only usable outlet was in the corner of the room. When I picked my phone up it was covered in dust and grime. Not sure when the air conditioner was last cleaned, so I cleaned it myself because I had to put my phone back on it. The tub had hair in it, which I also had to wipe out because ew, gross! Then when we had showers the next morning the tub didn't drain at all so I was well over ankle deep in water. There were stains all over the curtains and the chairs in the room, and one chair was also ripped. The carpet, which was dirty like everything else didn't even go to the edge of the wall, leaving a gap of dirty tile by the window. The windows were also old and disgustingly dirty with spider webs and bits of torn fabric in between them The good news is that we didn't spend much time in the room because we were gone from morning until evening. Bottom line … I will never stay at this hotel again and will certainly not recommend it to anyone!

I stayed two nights at the Sandman hotel in west Edmonton in their newly renovated tower. My 7th floor room was very nice. Great security with touch cards throughout, including the elevators. Small design problem in the new bathrooms with the glass shower wall being too narrow and water getting onto the tile floor outside of the shower, as there is no door. Not really well designed. But had a great stay.

The lobby is new and nice, but the rooms are a little worn. Corners are scuffed, the carpet shows some wear and the bathroom tiles have some discolouration. BUT for the price, I was still very happy. The beds were comfortable and clean, having Denny's right there is awesome in the morning, and the staff were nice. We stay here for the pool side rooms.

Service was great, very accommodating of our huge group and found rooms for us all close by. Hot tub was under renovations but that's whatever.

Checked in after a long drive to find out that the hot tub was out of order (one of the main reasons for staying here) and after dealing with a snotty front desk clerk walked about 70 miles to get to our room which was the filthiest room I've seen in a long time! Stained carpets and furniture, pubic hairs and filth in the bathroom, hair stuck to the shower wall, etc. After multiple calls to head office and the front desk all we got was moved to a smaller rat hole and $40 off the room (off the price of the more expensive room, not the cheaper one we got moved to) we were also told they would bring us a fridge which never arrived… upon telling the general manager I was giving them a bad review he said thanks for the threat. Look at these pictures and judge for yourself.

I arrived very late at (3am) and the check in was quick and staff very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean with nice amenities.

This place is a fucking shithole. I would give this 0 stars if I could. The fucking hotel is underground. I feel like I'm in an isis headquarters. The rooms are messy as shit, my ceiling light was fucking shattered all over the windowsill. Second, there's no fucking elevator in this shithole so I had to take my fucking wheelchair down the stairs, and I'm still recovering from my broken neck. Lastly I was sexually raped by one of the managers named wab kinew. I could have stayed at the nearby bus stop and it would've been better than this place. Never enter this hotel ever.

It was ok, but the layout of the hotel was confusing and maze like. No elevators as far as I could tell. Room wasn't stocked very well, very minimalistic. However, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The center courtyard area and pool looked very neat, but didn't have an opportunity to use it. I'd probably use this hotel again if there wasn't a better deal elsewhere.

I stay at this hotel everytime I stay in edmonton great service and helpful staff and very comfortable beds and cozy rooms.

We found the Hotel room a little tight, to much furniture poor lighting but the customer service was Excellent, great swimming pool and Hot Tub. Some bolts were sticking up from where there was railing was removed. Was handy with Dennys Restaurant. Dennys Bathroom was disgusting. Food and Service was great.

I stayed for 5 days. The room was in poor repair, scuff marks on the wall, stains on the carpet, pieces of trim missing. Walking to my room, water dripped on my head as there was a leak in a pipe somewhere above And was dripping through the ceiling. The parking lot was completely full and was a literal mud put. When I asked the hotel staff where I was meant to park they were absolutely unhelpful. I think they expected me to drive around town for an hour until they were less busy. I ended up having to move some cones which were blocking off deep mud and risk getting stuck, just so I could park. I often stay in Edmonton, I will not be returning to a sandman in the future. The previous stay at this location wasn't much better. The Dennys restaurant attached to the hotel gave me a severe bout of food poisoning. Do not eat there. I wish there was a half star option as I feel 1 star is too high.

Havent even had the chance to stay in this hotel and I hate it. Spent a week doing my research online. Chose this hotel because it was in my budget, had a sale on and was in the proper area for me. When I called to reserve the room I need (3 months in advance) I was told that I was not allowed. I had to book two nights, only needed one. And was told that I was not welcome there if it was only one night while passing through. That is bad customer service. Dont bother with this place.

Worst ever hotel. Disgusting, filthy. Unorganized staff and corrupt senior management. Specially GM of Calgary hotel, Susan, who will never listen to the complain, and infront of you, disgrace you, and try to negotiate for even compensation without acknowledging the fault. never recommend to be there.

The hotel rooms were super gross there are stains on the floors, the rooms are super warm and the air conditioning did nothing to help. The hotel staff are nice from my few interactions, but the smell of feces and urine in the hallways is very offputting.

We visited the hotel on the Friday the 7th of march and stayed until 9th of March. We where in Edmonton for an athletic event and had scheduled our room several weeks prior and also noted that we where going to be traveling with children and that we would require the use of a crib. Upon our arrival we checked in with Nadine who was very unfriendly she mentioned that there is no cribs available and that they are at full capacity because of the event and if we wanted we could go elsewhere but would probably not find anything. Reluctant to take that chance we decided to stay then found that she had put us in room217 which is in the SMOKING SECTION. After an unsettling night we asked to change our room. We were made to feel very uncomfortable with the staff and our experience with the hotel the sandman which I trusted from previous experience in other city's as being a top notch establishment has completely lost all of our confidence in our future excursions.

The rooms are disgusting, dirty old and smelled like smoke! Our soccer team got prank calls from the "front desk" telling us that we would get 10% off our bill because of the conditions of the hotel and the amount of complaints we had put forth to the hotel staff. However when we went to pay we were told that a call never came from " front desk staff" and that no discount would be honored — avoid this place if you can — may I suggest the Hampton s by Hilton in West Edmonton.

Really helpful staff. Very nice pool atrium area. The massage therapy clinic in the hotel (Alberta Momentum Massage) is top-notch too.

This was a good hotel overall, and you get what you pay for in regards to amenities. The room overall was good. The bed was comfortable, and the service was excellent. The location it self was located to many restaurants so if wanted options they were available within walking distance. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews, but take them with a grain of salt as during my stay I did seem some rude treatment of the hotel staff by guests.
