Went to attend a play at the Edmonton Fringe festival. It was awesome!

It was a good hostel overall: reasonable price, clean, close to amenities and there is free parking. They need to have plug-ins next to beds in order to charge cells. I had a bed that did not have a plug-in next to it so I had to charge my phone a distance from my bed and I needed to keep an eye on my phone, so I was unable to relax while my phone was charging.

4 stars there helpful but this isn't a youth hostel so u won't feel any hostel vibe. I'd say more of a transit hostel.

Great facilities. Not as many travellers as I would have hoped — quite a lot of oil field workers in Edmonton on their days off and a few homeless. But everyone was nice and, as I say, the facilities were brilliant.

I only had an NGO meeting in one of their meeting room and the Hostel location, building design and the front desk service were really good in my view and the meeting group. The upstairs small library-meeting room had been nicely renovated and looked well kept and cozy.

They have excellent rates for a social room for small groups. Our small club (10-12) has used the library for many small gatherings in the last few years.

Very clean, no fuss and friendly staff! Had a great stay. Very convenient location too, near whyte.

I stayed there for 22 nights and nothing to say except that it is an okay place to stay. Most of the reason that the place isn't incredible is mainly because the city itself is rather boring. Besides that, it's a clean place with not too bad beds, good location and good staff.

Great place, clean friendly staff, awesome location in old strathcona located near public transit, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs. If I have one gripe… I stayed in dorms and the bunks are ridiculously short… if you end up with a bottom bunk as I did be prepared to crack your head at least a half dozen times, there isn't enough room to sit up.

Stayed here a few times it's super clean and the people are really friendly. Whyte Ave is the next street over and has everything you could possibly need, nice bars, restaurants etc… I would highly recommend this place.

Great location, close to bus stop, eatery, 1 bus away from lots of attraction. Just that if only I can get the right information at the right time will be helpful lol.

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful, although I didn't stay here I helped a friend find the place and get settled.

If you clean the kitchen you get a 20$ discount a night which is nice. Great place to meet new people. Most of the staff are usually nice. Comfy beds. The private rooms are a total rip-off though. Around 50 a night for a double bunk bed, one bed above, a sink and a mirror. That's it. For the same price in a cheap hotel, you get a private bathtub, a tv, and more space.

Great renovations and amazing outdoor space and even better location. Perfect for individual, group or family travel.

Nice staff, comfortable and clean rooms, welcoming and organized common areas, free interwebs. Located in a pretty sweet area of the city. And reasonably priced too. Would recommend. Only complaint is that my key card barely worked for my door, took about 10 swipes but that's very minor.

This is a really good hostel. It is one of the better ones that I have been to in Canada. The staff here are really good and helpful. The hostel is huge with a lot of comfortable common spaces, the kitchen is clean, fully stocked with everything that you will need and it has a lot of seating space, the bunks are strong and sturdy, the dorms are clean and there are a lot of bathrooms and it is one of the cleanest hostels that I have stayed in. The hostel is perfectly located right off of Whyte Avenue in The Garneau with everything right on its doorstep. The LRT is a ten minute walk down the street at the U of A campus too. Typical HI standards can be expected here. I gave it a four because from time to time you can get a few rowdy camp workers here when they are on break from work. Other than that, I have no complaints about this well managed hostel.

A great alternative to a hotel for travellers. In city centre, a person always at the front desk to help suggest city activites and how to get there. Clean, quiet after hours. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who needs a cheaper place to stay.

24 hour service at the front desk, and very friendly staff. Very well cleaned and safe for your belongings. Affordable and within a block of a small strip mall with food. I would stay here again if I was in Edmonton!

Great location, nice clean rooms. The kitchen is huge! Staff are friendly and helpful.

It was a decent location to hold our political discussion/meeting. We were in the library. Although the location was not fantastic, it was also not really bad in any way; it was satisfactory.

Affordable hostel with a mixed crowd — workers and travelers. I felt safe throughout my stay and found the staff extremely helpful with local events. It's currently under renovations which is coming along nicely — games room, kitchen and pool room looks great.

Decent hostel, quiet and good location.

Clean hostel, stayed in a private room. Well equipped kitchen, usually very quiet (it's Edmonton after all… ^^)

Not the most "backpacking" of hostel crowds I have seen but enjoyed it nonetheless. Clean, good Wi-Fi, good location.

My friend and I stayed here one night. We arrived without reservation (off season) and were greeted with smiles and kindness by Molly. What a sweetheart! We got a room no problem. This place was exactly what we needed! Among other amenities we were thankful for, we appreciated the list in the dinning hall that described where cool events were happening that day. This hostel was clean, quiet, and friendly. But, all of that being said, the mural in the dinning hall is enough to make this place a 'must see' on your traveling adventures!
