Nice hotel and great location. It’s located right in the heart of the trendy Whyte Ave. And historical Old Strathcona.

I would like to be able to review my stay but after my further father in law tried to treat us to a nice weekend on him they wouldn’t let him. We tried calling to book it on our own card and they literally refused to book us.

Just a really nice hotel on Whyte, fun little wine and cheese mixer and a nice menu for supper, the staff treats you like royalty.

First time here so it’s quite the experience very nice and awesome place to stay.

Very good hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and customer service oriented. Check-in is smooth as butter, and everything works well in the room. They provide a free breakfast, wine tasting, clean rooms and a great location! Also, the decor and style of the hotel reminds me of Angela’s house in “Who’s the Boss? ” (You know, the one featuring Tony Danza)! Very organized and well managed hotel, also a great location.

I really enjoy this hotel, location is perfect, the beds are fantastic, but it the staff and added touches that makes my stays great. The valet parking, comp water bottles in room, the wine and cheese each evening and staff like Cali and Allison. Wonderful spot on Whyte ave.

Love the location in funky neighborhood. Complimentary wine and cheese every night and good complimentary breakfast buffet. Comfy beds and good size rooms. I love the shower with no tub and the shampoo and conditioner and body wash in large refillable bottles shows a commitment to environmental stewardship.

The breakfast is worth getting up to eat. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. It can be a bit noisy before floor four. The higher the floor the better to solve that. The location is outstanding.

Very well kept property with a true touch of class and home. Excellent staff available to assist you in any way. i drive a pickup truck and I recommend giving them the keys. Parking in the area is hit and miss, my vehicle is considered oversize the lot for that was not something I wanted to deal with during our 2 night stay. i do not hand out this many stars unless it is worth considering for your next trip to Edmonton.

Very nicely decorated, and comfortable rooms. Shower was nice and shampoo and body wash is 300ml so I didn't need to bring my own shampoo. Wish there was an option for a bath though because my partner suffers from severe pain and bathes are better for them but that was my only complaint. All the staff is so friendly. There is a second cup downstairs and complimentary breakfast from 6-9 has very fresh and good food. Overall the hotel is very nice and I would definitely return again.

Located right on Whyte with a wine tasting every night and a quality breakfast every morning. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed. It was quiet and we were able to get our sleep. The housekeeping staff were like ninjas — one time we left for lunch and came back immediately after and the room had been serviced in the interim. Some of the paint is flaking and the ceiling is popcorn, but it's quite a lovely little spot and the location is unbeatable. There's a coffee shop connected, as is a restaurant. There are also all the places on Whyte within walking distance and a bus stop right outside. Loved our stay.

Wonderful, clean hotel that's close to all the action of Whyte Ave. Complimentary parking and breakfast were a great perk and they even let us bring our dog for a full family vacation! It even has a bike lane one the street out front for access to the amazing area. Will be staying again!

Came around Christmas time. Stayed one night. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy but it is very well maintained. There’s a nice fireplace in the lobby and a cozy seating area. The staff are friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained. It’s on whyte street so very close to tons of shops and restaurants.

Nice clean rooms, centrally located, parking available. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the ambitious cleaning staff vacuuming outside my door at 8am sharp despite the "do not disturb" sign followed by idle gossip at a volume loud enough to hear every detail. Never quite understood why hotels needed the halls vacuumed at 8 rather than noon… but it cost them 2 stars. Hope management is listening… eff off with the 8am cleaning regime… if guests are there past 8, they are probably trying to sleep… New guests check in after 1pm… What the heck? Room 312 March 2018.

Great place to stay short or for a number of days! Convenience of Whyte Avenue with wonderful choices of restaurants and shopping the Varscona always satisfies our needs. The evening wine and cheese reception along with breakfast is a bonus and centrally located means you're close to the downtown core!

A great hotel in an interesting part of Edmonton with great restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfast is very good too! The hotel also has bikes​ that you can borrow free of charge (includes lock and helmet).

Great room with a comfy bed. I miss having a tub and my shower took a while to get warm so that was not fun. The sheet on the bed was not a fitted sheet so it often can off the mattress which was annoying. Other than that it is a great hotel with a nice breakfast.

Very comfortable hotel. It gives of the impression of being a old hotel-converted into new, which is very cosy. Interacting with the staff also gave added to the luxurious atmosphere of the hotel, where your needs are first. Rooms were spacious and well decorated with lots of thought put into the amenities (keurig pot, ironing board and iron, Earth water etc) and free valet parking and breakfast were included into the price of the stay. Breakfast was by far one of the best I’ve ever had. Worth coming back for a second stay alone. Knocked off one star because the rooms were extremely dry in the winter and caused a lot of discomfort in the night. Could use a humidifier.

An amazing smaller hotel with great service and extremely well located in the heart of the Strathcona neighborhood. I highly recommend it.

Great hotel. Rooms are nice, beds are great. Customer service is outstanding. Breakfast buffet has lots of choice and wine and cheese in the afternoon is a good opportunity to socialize.

This is a pretty nice hotel. They have a buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, coffee, tea, etc. There is a bar and second cup right in the hotel, which is convenient. The location is perfect, since it's right on Whyte, the most touristy street in Edmonton.

Stayed for 5 nights. Very clean hotel, friendly staff. Enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting each evening throughout the week. Located on a busy street with lots of shopping to explore, and didn't hear traffic to bad through the night. Room was very hot for the first two nights until we figured out the a/c. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel. We've stayed a couple times. Great staff, very helpful, fast valet, although they sometimes move the drivers seat. Nice little fitness center. Close to lots of shopping and places to eat and drink. Super slow elevator. Clean rooms. Definitely recommend.

Room was clean and basic. The bed was very comfortable. Only complaint would be about the amount of light in our room. But besides that, the hotel is quite nice. The location is fantastic, right on Whyte surrounded by great restaurants. At night can be a little loud with road noise (some people love ripping up and down Whyte on the weekend…). The free breakfast was really good, with hot and cold items. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location directly on Whyte Ave but inexplicably quiet for the most part. Operable windows are a rare treat as well. I'd stayed here previously and one weak spot was the poor water pressure, but this time at least on the 3rd floor it was perfectly fine. Good bed and very nice flatscreen. Parking is free and adjacent to hotel, very very convenient with easy in and out.

Fantastic location in heart of Old Strathcona. Clean and modern rooms. Excellent breakfast included. Free wine-tasting was a treat. The only down-side was that there was no bathtub (walk in shower instead). Will come here again.

Stayed in this hotel for 3 years every 3 months. The staff are attentive, kind and hospitable. The breakfast is great along with the free wine tasting.

I have many experiences with numerous hotel stays and this is by far the least pleasant. I am absolutely disappointed in the customer service I have received during my stay and would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. We returned to our hotel room around 9 in the evening, within minutes upon our return we received a noise complaint from the front desk. Seconds later the lady who filed the complaint against us came knocking on our door. She asked us in a very passive aggressive manner to keep it down and that our laughter is disturbing her sleep. After we claimed we can keep the volume at a minimum, however we do not understand the issue of a few people laughing at reasonable hour she asserted that from us not seeing her point of view that we were racist and proceeded to yell at us. We took obvious offence to this. Moments later we received another call from the manager, stating that we will be evicted next call he receives about us. Having the lady next to us still so angry at us for being "racist" (which we absolutely are not), left us feeling nervous about being evicted by the next peep we make. The manager was making this rather difficult for us. Making us feel like we were in the wrong. Although we may have been above an average volume, we had no problem making a conscious effort to keep it down. The manager, not even in the same building during the incident, was not levelling with us.

I am very disappointed in this hotel. It was 9:00 on a Saturday night and we had decided to return to our hotel room with my 72 year old father, myself who is 48 and my husband 52. Our 2 children who are 22 and wanted to have a quick visit before we headed back to Grande Prairie. The front desk phones to say we were been too noisy. Which we were shocked and agreed to "whisper ". 2 minutes went by and we got a knock on the door from the lady next door who started to call us down and call us racist. Of course it escalated from there. We shut the door and 30 seconds later got a call from an off site security guard saying he was going to evict us if we weren't quiet. We told him to come up and listen, another employee came up 3 times and said he could not hear us. Unfortunately I will never stay at this hotel again and our visit with our children was ruined by the rudeness of the lady next door and the off site security guard.

Nice place right on Whyte Avenue — great ambience with a Second Cup coffee shop on the main floor!

Great location on Whyte ave. The attached pub, O'Byrne's, has a great patio, friendly staff, and good food.

Fantastic, awesome staff, no bs paying for use of the business room. I would definitely recommend.

Great hotel. I gave them a "good" on facilitates because we were doing a training there with about 60 people sitting at round tables, and found that room was too long and thin. They put the screen in the middle of the long wall, and people one either ends couldn't see it clearly. Nor could they hear each other. More square rooms are better for trainings.

Great location, clean and new interior design, and reasonably priced. Great place to stay if you've partied hard on whyte ave and don't want to or can't make your way back home for the night.

The hotel is well kept and the staff is bang on. The location is perfect for people who want to stay downtown and experience Whyte Ave's ambiance. My wife and I stayed at the hotel and when we got our room, I have to admit that it was one of the smallest rooms I had every stayed in at Edmonton. The room was super clean and the bathroom sparkling. The only thing is after a day of shopping we couldn't move around comfortably. I would stay there again on business if I was alone. BTW Fri and Sat the university and college crowd descends onto the strip and you will see a lot of party goers and I mean a lot.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel, and loved having the wine tasting evenings. The self serve breakfast was also good. There was an excellent selection of menu items. The location is good, however the outside noise level was high on the Friday night (lots of stuff happening outside on Whyte Ave). I am sure a room on the back of the hotel might have been less noisy. The only complaint I had was the requested wake up call never happened. It was just lucky I woke up in time for my early morning flight. The front desk didn't seem too bothered by this (of course I was up and leaving).
