Rooms were clean, but was hot. Kept waking up from heat. Staff was great. Would go there in winter for sure.

Caution. This hotel will not make it easy if wish to pay cash. I reserved the room on my CC and when I arrived was billed at check in. When I told the clerk I wanted to pay using debit he pointed to a sign saying they would not accept cash payments. Also there is an100 deposit that you have to get refunded in the morning. None of this is on the web sight when you reserve a room. Also for a room that is $130 bucks a night it is really not all that nice. I have stayed in nicer for less. Smells of old cigarettes. Thin walls, not interested in what folks outside are talking about at 1:00 am in the morning. Keep your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed.

It honestly could have been better. The staff was nice. The room I stayed in had dust which irritated my asthma, and furniture was old, but it was okay. The event that 100% ruined my stay was the horrible shrieking of a woman running down (or up? ) the stairs at midnight, leaving me to wake with a racing heart and no sleep. Seriously, what the heck?

Friendly staff, good cleaning crew. Carpets in rooms are very old and bunched in places. Central location with fast food restaurants nearby.

Room was clean, there were a couple minor issues. Very comfortable/clean beds. Breakfast could have been a bit more fresh. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful. Overall, nice stay.

Good value for price. The rooms were well furnished and the stay was good.

Its a great location and we got a killer deal from a second party seller. We stay here every year for Calgary comic con because of the location, friendly staff, and decent continental breakfast.

Great rooms for the price. Near train station which is convenient. Continental breakfast was pretty standard.

I stayed here while my kids had a game at stampede. Place was clean. Rooms were good.

Nice hotel to lay your head for the night updated beds decent tv's.

Stayed there with my family over the weekend. Had a very good stay. Front desk guys are all amazing. Will stay again.

I liked the outdoor access. We came with our 2 dogs and that was very convenient. The continental breakfast was not to bad. I am not a sweet fan so for me this breakfast is good. Booked eggs waffles toast cereal bagels. The butter is frozen but there is cream cheese as well. It is pretty quiet.

Definitely a "budget" hotel in every sense of the word. Staff is rude and unfriendly and asked one of my family members a very inapropriate question. The rooms were about as clean as you would expect and mostly modern with a flat screen tv. Overall if you're looking to save some money then this is the place.

In a good location, that's about it. Beds are in rough shape, room wasn't clean, bathroom is bad shape and not clean, snow blew through the door seal during the night, the carpet had sticky spots. About the only thing that looked nice was the lobby, and the staff in the lobby weren't nice. If you can afford to stay elsewhere, do that!

Service was helpful and friendly. Rooms had cable tv, microwave, mini fridge coffee etc. The room felt open with 1 king sized bed and a couch vs 2 beds. I enjoyed my stay.

Horrible! We called the 1800 number to book because the guy at the desk wasn’t answering and she said there was a king size bed and we showed up the guy said no we don’t have one and after arguing and my boyfriend coming in they apparently had one so we got the keys went in and it was gross and not cleaned so we went back to the desk sorted it all out. At the end of the night we had to pull two double beds together and they wouldent even give a discount! Worse place to stay!

Great location but place is falling apart. Air conditioners not running, lights not working. Rooms looking old and worn.

This hotel is atrocious, if you are planning to stay somewhere for business LOOK ELSEWHERE! We sent 6 buses there with the rooms pre-paid and when our drivers arrived needing sleep to reset their hours of service in order to provide a safe service for our customers the hotel refused to let them check in until they each provided a credit card pre-auth for damages entirely separate from the room charges. We offered them a credit card over the phone which they refused to accept and would not allow the drivers into the rooms until a form was filled out which required the drivers to wait in the lobby for no reason while they emailed us a form that took forever to arrive. These people have no customer service and no idea how to run a business, either as a hotel or as a small business in general, FAIL.

An average motel and fairly clean. Staff are good and accommodating.

Very disappointed in my stay. Way over-priced for the room that I stayed in. The toilet was not properly secured. The entire room smelled bad. I was told that the pool was open till 9… that is why I paid more for the room but when I arrived they told me that they had just closed the pool for the season. Staff was not up to standards.

Adequate accomodation for a single night stay. Bed was hard and room smelled of smoke. The hotel is getting a little old and the exterior could use some touching up. Did not take advantage of the pool or breakfast as we were there only for a night. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was comfy. The pull out loveseat was a nice bonus for our toddler. Free breakfast was decent, and the customer service was above and beyond. Very pleased with our stay here. We will definitely be back.

It's ok. The breakfast was good for a free one. Pool looks nice but we haven't used it. Quiet. Room is a bit cramped, but otherwise alright. Clean and stuff.

Bed was very comfortable. And was in a easy to get to location. Our bathroom was not very clean (hair all over it) and the floor in our room had not been vacuumed. Hall way had a world smell and was very dirty as well. Breakfast was good.

Very accommodating. Great rooms. Highly convenient location and super close to a bunch of places to eat. Easy access to trains and buses. Rooms are nicely maintained and clean. Great free breakfast included too. I would stay here again. Low cost to rooms as well great value for the dollar.

Location is good, walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc. Breakfast was basic.

Absolutely filthy and reeked of cigarrette smoke throughout (I had a non-smoking room) … smelled like someone was cooking rank cheese throughout. Had to check out… as I was literally going to be sick. Bed bug city! Dirty as I have ever seen a hotel in my entire life.

Free breakfast wavered from decent to bad. But the beds were comfy with extra chairs to sit around and watch TV.

It's okay. Didn't like the cat smell but then again I'm not paying a ton. The breakfast wasn't anything to look forward to, but then again, not paying much. Seemed reasonably clean and reasonably quiet. Staff seemed fine. Location was convenient for what I needed.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I had such an awesome experience. Rooms were neat and clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazingly good. I can't wait to go and stay there again in that price. This time for longer time duration, for sure.

Our toilet flooded, there was sewage in the room and they didn't give us a new one, we stayed the night in there, then when the cleaning lady came around all she did was spritz the carpet, no disinfectant on anything, the carpet wasn't cleaned at all. It was disgusting.

My staff member had a horrible experience in the hotel. The room was to be non smoking and the smoke was traveling down the hall to her room. Also we had to check out early and let the front desk know about this and said to contact Expedia for the refund. I contacted them and they called the hotel and they refused to issue a refund. Renter beware.

I'll start with the positives. Booking was fairly easy as well as check in. Bed was comfortable. Now for the negatives. Entire building, including the room I stayed in is very rundown. You can tell they've attempted upgrades, but they all look like a do it yourself job by someone not very handy. The free Wifi is almost unusable. I'm certain there are better hotel choices in the area for similar money. The continental breakfast that was included was fairly shotty. Overall it felt like I didn't get good value for the money. Last time I stayed at the Blackfoot Hotel. It cost a bit more, but I have nothing but positive comments on that place and it's only about a 4 minute drive from this slum hole.

Travelodge should be embarrassed to fly they banner on this dump. Place needs full restoration. Bed was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes. They charge me twice on my charge card.

This is the WORST hotel we have ever stayed it. Here's why: 1. They messed up our reservation. I asked for a 1st floor room as we have disabilities and dogs. We cannot go up and down stairs. I was very explicit. I was told we could get a room with 2 double beds on the 1st floor. When I arrived the front desk clerk put us on the 2nd floor. I told her this was wrong. She would not let us cancel our reservation without penalty because we hadn't given 24 hours notice. Finally, she found us a smoking room on the first floor. We are both asthmatic and it smelled horrifically. 2. Our room was rundown. The bed platform was exposed wood which I tripped on. 3. Every time someone showered in above us we were treated to a high-pitched squeal. 4. I asked for a late check out and was told we would have to spend another $50 to stay until 1 pm. There was no movement on this whatsoever. Generally, I found the front desk clerk to be quite rude and very unwilling to help make our stay more comfortable given the situation. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have stayed 1 or 2 nights a year for the past 15 years. Booking by phone was a problem as our name was misheard and reservation was doubted. Now we book on line. Once a lock was faulty and took a little while to get maintenance. Breakfast room and food good. Staff have always been helpful. Cold weather plug ins have made vehicle starts reliable. Heat and air conditioning in season have been good. Our type of food outlet within walking distance. Once you know the back street to get to the traffic lights driving in and out is easy. Good access to SE and SW Calgary. Chinook Mall close. Fair access to NE and NW.

Fire alarms rang in the middle of the night both nights I stayed. The staff told me it happens whenever freezing air gets into the hotel. If you need a full night's sleep in the winter you may have a problem. Room was clean and continental breakfast was very good. Summer stays shouldn't have the fire alarm problem if what the staff told me is true.
