Best Sunday brunch in town… by a mile! All the usual bacon, sausage, eggs Benedict or scrambled, plus an omelette made fresh in front of you, as well as prime rib beef or maybe the garlic shrimps are more to your taste. Oh yes, save some room for the half dozen deserts on display. Wash it all down with bottomless orange juice and/or coffee!

It was perfect in line with service, quaint, good food. Great breakfast! Prime rib delicious. Liver and onions superb. Lots of nesting places. Good experience!

Nice staff and rooms. A little small but definitely nice. Breakfast is hot and varied. Very very good. The look and hot tub is outside, personally preferred. Very nice overall.

Went for the fathers day brunch. Everything was wonderful the tables were clearly marked with the family name. Food was fantastic and replenished regularly. Also had a lot of flavour. There service was very prompt on ensuring the beverages were full and plates cleared quickly. Everything was very neat and tidy. Very efficient system they have mastered.

Attended for a celebration and stayed over night. Hotel if nice but starting to show it's age in some places. Pool is good but small. Room incl breakfast in the morning which starts seemed to struggle keeping up with demand. First hotel I've stayed in in some time that didn't have a microwave in room. Hotel was quiet at night. Would stay again if in same circumstance.

A beautiful centrally located hotel near many amenities. Has excellent food in their restaurants, with a bar and swimming pool on site. Fantastic location for weddings and other large functions. Lots of onsite amenities as well.

The morning breakfast buffet is great. They have never ending juice too along with eggs, hasgbrowns, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruit salad, baked goods and croissants. They also have make your own toast and cereal and milk. Options of regular and almond. Fantastic servers too. Very friendly.

We paid extra to stay in the nicer suites. Furnishings were very nice. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. There is a room service menu for your pet which I thought was a nice touch. I was tempted to order from it because it was not very expensive. The human food seemed pricier. However I did not end up ordering. I was curious on portion sizes. I included pictures of what the pet package comes with.

Loved working with The Carriage House Inn at this wedding. They did an amazing job of working with me to set up lighting to be complimentary and easy for me to work with. They do all of the decorating in house and it looked amazing.

One of our favorites for food pricing and friendly staff. I booked it for my brothers birthday breakfast. The waitress brought a special cake. Awesome all you can eat buffet and beverage included so totally affordable. We paid 10$ per person.

THE RESTAURANT REVIEW ONLY: I have never stayed in this establishment, but I have been to their breakfast/brunch meal numerous times. I really enjoyed their food, great portions, fast service on food delivery & great customer service. I really liked their Baby Beef Liver, and Fish & Chips. All of the foods I have tried are great, no complaints.

I attended the hotel for a bridal shower. We had a buffet lunch as part of the hotel's Sunday brunch. There was a large selection of food and it was delicious.

The room was small but had a good coffee maker and a great shower. The fitness room was well appointed and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. There is a nice sports pub adjoining and they have a games lounge with VLTs and var. Breakfast was included and we were given a drink coupon at check-in. Overall good value!

This review is not for the amazing cooks that made the delicious food. This is for all the staff I had to interact with while there. I made a reservation for the brunch on Sunday for 4 people. To make a reservation I had to provide my credit card information expiry date and all. I asked if there was another way because I didn’t feel comfortable giving my credit card information to reserve a table but they said it was the only way. The day before the brunch I received a call from Alma to confirm, she told me it is $27 per person and a 18% tip. I’m sorry but since when is a restaurant telling me how big of a tip to leave. This was not a large group where 18% is automatically added, as stated above this is for 4 people. On the day we arrived the service was ok until two teenagers (a blond guy and a girl with a pony tail) who work there came up to our table giggling wanting to know how my last name was pronounced, I said how it was pronounced and they proceeded to walk away giggling once again. My friend asked them to please come back and tell us why they were asking, and they said they were trying to settle which one of them was right. The whole thing was so unprofessional from start to finish that the food was not even worth it. Needles to say Almas request for an 18% tip was not granted.

The service I'd say was a bit above the average for hotels I have stayed at. The rooms however were very nice and kept clean from day to day. Overall I would've liked better service but at least the stay in my room was rather nice.

Booked for the 12:15 pm Easter Sunday Brunch. Most disappointing. There were a large number of people waiting in the hall with one hostess checking names and at times, needing to wait for staff members to return to take people to their assigned tables. The people who were at the previous seating at our assigned table were late leaving, meaning we were left standing in the hall waiting for them to leave and the forcing the overworked staff to scramble to set the table. Not the previous customer’s fault — seatings should be spaced out to allow for a more leisurely experience especially when celebrating a holiday. I was surprised to be escorted into a large ballroom with tables set up like a cafeteria. I did not think we were being booked into a ballroom filled to capacity with people. Not my idea of a nice Easter brunch atmosphere. First time up to the buffet — no dinner plates. This caused a long line while waiting for more to be brought out. The plate I went to take was dirty. Having two buffet lines worked well so you moved through without delay (this is the only good thing I have to say unfortunately). Food quality — poor at best. Hot cross buns were stale. Peel and eat shrimp bowl empty three different times people from my party went to check. Eggs Benedict — cold and it was impossible to cut into the English muffin as the edges were hard and the steam had turned the other parts of the bread to a dense mush. Same issues with the pancakes and Belgian waffles.

This is a very nice hotel. I stayed in the double queen room and it was very spacious. The front desk people were very nice. I would definetly stay here again. I did have an issue where they charged me twice for the room but it was quickly resolved.

A nice place to stay, as well as attend events. Wish I had thought to check if there was a pool before I went because the outdoor heated pool looked awesome from my room. Has late night fast food right across the street.

I attended a workshop at the Carriage House Inn, it was my first time visiting this hotel in any capacity. The hotel is lovely, very easy to get to with lots of free parking which is always a plus! We were in one of the smaller ballrooms which was very nice. We were served a breakfast of cereals and milk, pastries, yogurt, fruits and coffee/tea and juices-all quite tasty! A couple of negatives: the room was freezing cold and though our facilitator asked for the heat to be turned up it never really warmed up, making our session quite uncomfortable; coffee was not very good and they ran out of tea and though they did re-fill they had to be asked a couple of times. These are quite nit-picky points but I'm being honest! Overall, if they'd turn up the heat (! ) I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Carriage House Inn.

This is an older hotel in Calgary but has gone through some modernization. The rooms are very contemporary with good decor and amenities. However they are a little small. They have wireless internet though the day I was there it was a little sketchy. I went to gala here. The banquet was nicely decorated. Great food and service from the hotel staff.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Terrible service, very unprofessional and uneducated. We had requested to stay another night and they did not inform us that we could not. We ended up locked out of our room after we went swimming. We had to go back and forth to our room 3 times because they lied about re-activating our card to retrieve our belongings. The three women working at the front intentionally did this while we were cold and freezing wearing wet towels that’s smelt like mold. The night we booked in we were told we could pay in cash prior to check out. They ended up charging the room to my visa, telling me that they would never take cash payment. Me and my business associates will never be staying here again.

This is a review of Sunday Brunch at Carriage House Inn. Wide selection of savory items such as ribs, sausages, meatballs, prime rib, shrimps and salads but nothing really stood out. Dessert spread looked fantastic but most items were one-dimensional and not satisfying (too sweet and not enough creamy or fruity flavors). Coffee was below average. Service was neither warm nor efficient. I had to ask for a coffee refill because cup sat empty for a while. My plate was not cleared when I returned with a second helping. Moreover, our table received more than one reminder that there was another seating and our group needed to be out at a certain time. Those who appreciate Sunday brunch and looking for a relaxed meal with a welcoming staff and a memorable and outstanding menu should look elsewhere.

Very lovely hotel. The front staff were very courteous and accommodating. We even got to check in earlier than 3 pm, which was much appreciated after a long flight to Calgary. We stayed in the new renovated rooms on the 7th floor. Bed was very comfortable, had beautiful view of the mountains. The washroom is a bit small but nice and clean. The shoe polish was appreciated touch. The towels were a bit rough and might need fabric softener. There's a fridge in the room which was useful. Free breakfast buffet was great. Overall great Hotel for the price and would stay here again.

This was my first time attending a Christmas Party in the Ballroom. It was a great big room? Wonderful food, pleasant bartenders/servers/etc. All in all a very nice venue to have a Christmas Party.

A decent place for large parties. Been here twice for my company's Christmas party, last year the food was definitely better. Still an excellent atmosphere and the staff I had no issues with. Would recommend!

Beautiful, well-maintained hotel that seems to accommodate any style of traveller. Very clean, gorgeous outdoor pool area, and multiple shared areas including a cozy pub with numerous VLTs, a recently-renovated sports lounge and a restaurant with separate dining room. The food here has never disappointed!

I was there twice in 1 week, 1st for a conference and 2nd for a wedding. The Surrey room is beautiful and worked really well for both events. On both occasions the food was amazing and all of the staff were exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great event experience!

Great spot as they have something for everybody! The rooms are up to date and incredibly comfortable. The heated outdoor pool & hot tub feels like a spa getaway / not to mention the steam room! Always a pleasant experience. Great service & food at the dining lounge.

I spent a night here for a wedding. There was ample parking, the venue was beautiful, decent sized pool, and the hotel staff are very polite and helpful. The room itself was spacious however the bathroom was on the smaller side. Nothing appeared dirty but you can tell that everything has been around for a while. The breakfast buffet was okay (good bacon but the egg selection was limited to just scrambled).

Great restaurant with a beautiful buffet breakfast. Lots of selection & fabulous staff who give high quality service and pay attention to details. It was my friend's birthday and they surprised both of us by bringing her out a little coconut cream cake! Delicious & beautiful. Superb service! We will be going there again.

Not a bad place to spend the night for a wedding and the rates were affordable. Sufficient parking for guests. The room u had felt small. Overall the room was clean and the stay was enjoyable. Staff were courteous and helpful when needed.

We were there for a wedding reception. Service and assistance was amazing. Alex, was great to help out arranging and making sure we got everything we needed down to the finest detail. Roop was the gentleman who helped us out during the event and was very very accommodating for all our needs. Roop, the assistant manager was amazing. Without him our event would not have been the same. Some last minute requests were handled well without any cost as well which was quite amazing. It was one less thing to worry about and there were no headaches from their side.

The food was interesting. It was tasty for the most part but was a little dry. The staff was decent. It was for a private event and there was a signature drink which was supposed to be passed around but the serving staff just stood there with them not really offering the guest the drinks. Overall and ok experience.

Clean rooms, nice pool and hot tub. Really enjoyed how they were open 24 hours as well on weekdays. Everybody has been nice. The only downside is that you only get 2 breakfast rickets. So if you're here with a bigger family then you have to pay for the extra people.

Good: very modern, upgraded rooms, comfy beds, pillows, nice design. Lovely parrots in the lobby, our baby loved that. Quiet rooms, even tough we were close to the elevator we were never disturbed with noise. Bad: pee on the toilet seat upon check in and lots and lots of hair allover the washroom; I know hair happens, but that made us feel like we were staying at the low grade motel. Breakfast was included with our room rate, but only for 2 adults. We had to pay extra for the third person. Quality of breakfast: not bad. Pool is a great addition, however, we didn't use it due to the same cleanliness issue — could see lots of hair in the water, even though there were no people in the pool at the time. No microwave in the room.

I really enjoyed this hotel. Room was nicely done. It was small bit the space is used very well. Front desk and overall service was also good. I honestly have no complaints I would certainly stay here and again and likely will. The locations is also perfect as it right on the hub of McLeod trail close to many different food a bar options. Although the king's head across the street and including their own Peanuts Local Pub/bar also is a good option.

Had the opportunity to be involved in planning a decent sized work event at the Carriage House. Super helpful staff, nice venue. Not crazy about the parking but they definitely do the best possibly with what they have to work with.

Went to Peanuts Pub at the Carriage House Inn, the service was great, and the atmosphere pretty awesome. The truffle fries were awesome and a good deal for $6. The wings were quite dry though and the salt and pepper wings were pretty flavourless. That is pretty much the only thing I have had issues with in the various times I've been here.

I was there for brunch and I found the place to be very nice and calm. The food was good. The table service was fine too. To find parking was a bit of a task.

I met with the catering and events manager at Carriage House Inn on March 4th 2016 to discuss upcoming wedding plans. The lady was very friendly and knowledgeable. She helped us price out multiple packages and referred us directly to the hotels wedding planner. Additional meetings are being setup to help us plan out our special day.

The Carriage house is a great hotel, with fantastic staff. In particular the peanuts pub in the back has excellent wings as well as great service that was warm and hospitable!

Staff is very nice and the food came out quite quickly. Tasty meals.

Went to Peanuts pub to watch a Flames game. The TVs look good and there are plenty of them so you can always see the game. They had the commentary on but it was washed out and hard to hear. Decent food, but the beer selection leaves a lot to be desired.

Easy access from Macleod Trail. Renovated rooms are very nice. They are small, but comfortable. Outdoor pool was great, even in January. Included breakfast buffet was hot and freshly stocked with food. Staff were friendly and check in was fast and easy. Lots of parking. Close to lots of restaurants and easy drive to anywhere in South Calgary.

Stayed here for NYE 2016. Super impressed with the way the hotel was set up, decorated, and run. Such a value for the price: great, comfy, clean rooms; deep bath tubs; amazing buffet style food with more choices than you can even remember. I would definitely recommend and return again :) We stayed in room 661. The only thing I would have liked better is if they had more pet friendly options. I had to find alternative means for my dog because they only offer double bed suites for pets. I would like to share a bed with my significant other and also have my pet with me.

Staff xmas party, location was nice, food was good but service could have been better.

The front staff was very friendly and easy going. The breakfast has very mininal choices though and the gym has only a few pieces of equipment. Overall the experience was okay.

Neat and pleasant ambiance, spacious rooms, service is good but finding a good parking place is a real challenge.

The carriage house was lovely, all of the staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was delightful and when their room key programmer wasn't working someone escorted us to our room. 10/10 would stay again.

The new menu at peanuts is ideal pub fair. The burgers are fantastic, not to mention the classic steak sandwich! beth offers five star service with a smile.

I booked for my two people for four nights, breakfast included. When I checked in, there was a card in the room stating breakfast for one was included, not two. I paid $139 a night and it was too much. The room was not particularly clean, dust bunnies and accumulated paper cups behind the cabinet, grimey carpet. I asked for a discounted price given I was only given breakfast for one, but was told that was my fault, I should have clarified at front desk. I had asked the staff at front desk and they told me the card was correct. They dont know what they are doing, very disorganized. I would not recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. Hotel is very clean, and the staff are nice. There continental buffet breakfast is worth getting up for. I recomend this hotel. I was giving a kingsize bed for the cost of two two double beds.

I stayed there on September 8th. My "VIP" room (the only ones available left for the wedding apparently) My room had no air conditioning. When I called the person working at the desk up to see if for some reason it was just me that couldn't figure out the air conditioning system, she came up and fiddled with the switch and then said it must not be operational. She offered me a fan. I turned it down and asked for a new room. She informed me that all the rooms were booked up except our suites. And that was it… She didn’t even ask me if I wanted to find out if how much an upgrade was… just left and that was that. I was there the day prior to the wedding reception dropping off all the liquor for the event; (yes I was actually in the wedding party) I went to the check in desk to confirm my room reservation and to check what kind of room I was booked in… they could only tell me I had a room booked. Overall would never ever stay there again because of the terrible service.

I want to appreciate you for being friendly and polite. I want to also mention that the cleaning staff was friendly and did their job. I spilled chips on the floor I tried cleaning most of them up but of course the crums were left there. I really liked my stay here. Thanks for the nice room.

Thank you to all the staff of the Carriage House Inn, our Daughter's wedding was held there Sept 5th 2010 and what an amazing event it was. Our family and friends came in for a great 3 day weekend and the Carriage House team made sure we all had an amazing stress free time. All our rooms were beautiful and all the female guests received little special spa gift bags. Each night homemade cookies were left by our bedside which added a special at home feeling to the beautiful rooms. The front desk staff were amazing placing all of us on the same floor and accommodating all of our needs. Each night's accommodation included a wonderful hot breakfast buffet and the food was delicious. We all loved the restaurant service team added to our stay with their great sense of humor and caring attention to our needs. The rooms were impeccably clean, the beds felt like home (we all slept in everyday! ), the deep spa like tubs were wonderful. We all rated the rooms at 5/5! Thank you Carriage House amazing job! Service 4.5 out of 5 A VERY SPECIAL Thank you to the events team who put together a beautiful wedding that all the guests could not stop talking about. Dustin our event manager made sure not one single detail was missed. Dustin we cannot thank you enough you made our daughter's dream wedding come true!
